Chapter 20
Gardener Sprite
“Hush!”
At this moment, Lina and Roger had already arrived at the back of the clinic, which was where Lina usually worked.
It was a fenced vegetable garden with a garden on the other half, with butterflies fluttering above.
Lina looked around and then signaled for Roger to crouch down and not make a sound.
Although Roger was puzzled, he obediently followed her instructions.
Lina’s gaze fell on the small garden, and after a brief search, her beautiful eyes lit up as she pointed with her clean white finger.
“Look there.”
“On that pink handkerchief flower.”
Lina lowered her voice and whispered.
What kind of flower is a handkerchief flower…
Roger wondered in his heart and was about to ask Lina, but he immediately saw what she was pointing at.
There was a vibrant pink flower blooming, surrounded by two pale pink petals that looked like a scarf.
This must be the handkerchief flower that Lina was referring to, and it seemed to be a unique flower in this world.
But that wasn’t the focus.
The focus was on the center of the handkerchief flower’s stamen, where a small figure with two pink flower buds on top of its head and two transparent wings lay.
Roger was startled and rubbed his eyes, then looked again, realizing that he wasn’t seeing things.
“Do you see it?”
Lina asked in a low voice.
“What is it, a fairy?”
Roger couldn’t believe it, his gaze fixed on the little figure as he spoke.
Before Lina could reply, Roger suddenly felt a flood of information rushing into his mind.
[Gardener Sprite]
[Type: Creature]
[Level: 1]
[Quality: Elite]
[Rank: Transcendent]
[Description: A magical creature with a lively and gentle personality, capable of communicating with plants and promoting their growth.]
In addition, some more detailed information appeared in Roger’s mind.
“It’s a gardener sprite…”
Obviously, it was the effect of the Mysticism skill that he had leveled up yesterday, directly providing information about this little figure.
Lina looked at him with surprise. “Do you really know its origin?”
The reason she came to find Roger was because he had previously talked to her about some Mysticism knowledge.
So Lina thought that Roger might know some relevant information.
She didn’t expect Roger to actually know.
Roger explained to Lina based on the knowledge that appeared in his mind.
“But it shouldn’t be here.”
Roger added.
“Why do you say that?” Lina asked, puzzled.
“This place doesn’t have the conditions to nurture it.”
Based on his knowledge of Mysticism, Gentle Breeze Sea was not suitable for nurturing gardener sprites.
As for Lina’s small garden, it was even less likely.
“By the way, you said you wanted me to help. Are you asking me to catch this gardener sprite for you?”
Roger looked at Lina beside him.
Upon hearing this, Lina simply nodded.
Frowning, Roger said, “Lina, gardener sprites are difficult to keep in captivity.”
Lina gently shook her head, “I don’t want to keep this little guy as a pet.”
“It’s injured, and it’s hard to treat it without catching it.”
“I tried to communicate with it before, but it’s very cautious. It flies away as soon as I approach.”
Roger was taken aback and observed the gardener sprite again, realizing that its condition did indeed seem poor.
At first, he thought it was just sleeping on the flower.
Now it seems that it is injured and gasping for breath.
Roger withdrew his gaze and looked at Lina, “Have you learned how to treat fairies?”
Lina shook her head at the mention and handed Roger a capture net, tied up her hair, with a determined look.
“We have to learn it right away.”
“Let’s go.”
With that, Lina quietly approached the Gardener Sprite.
Seeing this, Roger couldn’t help but smile and followed.
The Gardener Sprite looks like a girl who has been greatly reduced in size, with two pink buds on her head, like little buns.
Its wings are more like the thin wings of dragonflies and cicadas, with a shimmering glow.
At this moment, the Little Fairy is lying on a flower, panting heavily and appearing very uncomfortable.
Unaware of the two humans sneaking up on it, with its eyes tightly closed.
Lina and Roger quietly approached the Gardener Sprite.
After confirming that the Gardener Sprite had not noticed them, the two exchanged glances.
Let’s do it!
Lina decisively covered the capture net.
Just then, the Gardener Sprite suddenly opened its eyes, looking panicked, and flapped its wings in pain to fly away quickly.
Soon it escaped from Lina’s capture net range.
But Roger was faster.
With a swish, he covered the net, capturing the Gardener Sprite.
“Yiya yiya…”
After being caught, the Gardener Sprite in the capture net made incomprehensible panicked cries, struggling incessantly and appearing very scared.
Roger and Lina ignored it and took it straight into the clinic.
…
In Lina’s clinic.
After closing the door of the clinic, Lina sat down at the table.
The Little Fairy had already been bound by Roger with a fine thread, and it was…
“Yiya yiya…”
The Little Fairy’s arms were tied behind its back, crying with tears streaming down, dropping large drops of tears.
It seemed to be begging the two of them, hoping that Roger and Lina would let it go.
Lina glanced at the way the Little Fairy was bound, her expression strange.
“Roger, why did you tie it up like this…”
Roger coughed at the mention and changed the subject.
“You should think about how to treat it first.”
Upon hearing Roger’s words, Lina also shifted her focus to the Gardener Sprite, fully dedicated to examining it.
The Gardener Sprite’s abdomen seems to have been scratched.
Due to the wound not being properly treated, the Gardener Sprite now seems to be showing signs of infection.
The Gardener Sprite looks at the big guy in front of it, constantly poking and prodding with cold instruments, feeling very scared.
Up until now, its tears haven’t stopped flowing.
It feels very desperate.
Why are these big guys so mean?
They all bully me!
Last time, I finally managed to escape, but then I was attacked by a nasty big bird…
Now, I’m caught by these two big guys, I’m doomed…
I’m so unlucky!
With these thoughts, the Gardener Sprite couldn’t help but sob.
Under the impact of the injury and the despair in its heart, its body went limp and it fainted.
“Is it dead?”
Roger was shocked.
Lina quickly checked and relieved her breath when she found out that the Gardener Sprite had just fainted.
“It’s okay, it just fainted.”
“That’s good.”
If the Gardener Sprite didn’t faint, it would keep crying and disturb Lina’s treatment.
Now that it has fainted, Lina can treat it quietly.
Looking at the Gardener Sprite lying on the table, Roger pondered for a moment and decided to go back and get something.
“I’ll go back for a moment.”
After saying that, Roger headed towards his own room
