I have a black hole

Chapter 3: Baiyu city

Ye Qingyun quickly helped Ender to his feet, leaving him utterly stunned—not because of her kindness, but because of her speed. He thought to himself:

"What was that? That speed isn't something that body should be capable of. It seems this world, aside from science, still has something else that can enhance power. But then again, this world was designed like a game, not a natural universe, so a bit of absurdity is expected. It's maybe better for me. I can use this to achieve my goals faster."

"Thank you very much. Let's move quickly so as not to delay you." Ender said, bowing respectfully.

This old man had lived long enough to have forgotten what the word "shame" even looked like.

Of course, don't think for a moment that this old man was humbled or reformed. Don't be ridiculous. After living for hundreds of years, could some kid reform him?

But he didn't act recklessly or commit needless evil. He had his own moral standards.

If something didn't serve his purpose in opposing God, he wouldn't bother with it.

"Hmm, can you manage? If not, I can carry you." Ye Qingyun said.

If this were anyone else, particularly one of those other eight, her offer would've been moving enough to bring them to tears.

Ender wasn't immune to this either, he nearly cried. But… his loyalty to his own goal was stronger.

So, apologies, but a peaceful death would have to be his response to this kindness.

"No need. I'm still fit enough to walk." Ender replied.

Hearing this, Ye Qingyun nodded and continued forward.

.....

However, they hadn't gone far when she stopped and said:

"Old man, you're really too slow. At this rate, we won't make it out of this forest. Let me carry you."

Ender was taken aback and thought to himself:

"What? My health at this age is still great. Walking at nearly 5 km/h isn't slow. Could it be that humans in this world are truly that fast?"

"Well, then, sorry to trouble you."

Before he could climb onto her back, she scooped him up in a princess carry. Suddenly, her speed exploded, startling Ender so much that he instinctively clung to her neck.

At that moment, his brain felt like it was struggling to process this new information. Inwardly, he cursed:

"What the hell is this? How is this reasonable? This girl isn't even out of breath while running, yet her speed has to be over 30 km/h. This is absurd. Absolutely absurd. And why are her hands so soft? Isn't a strong body supposed to be firm? Otherwise, how could it withstand impact?"

A speed of 30 km/h wasn't particularly fast for Ender when he was alive.

Back at his peak, releasing his full power in short bursts, he could reach speeds of Mach 24.

The issue, however, was with her body. From his perspective, it was a 100% mortal physique.

For a scientist of his caliber, this was both perplexing and deeply intriguing.

After a moment, he calmed himself and thought:

"It seems this world has some kind of other energy source. Could it be similar to magic from movies? Damn it, is God mocking me, a scientist, by throwing me into a world this illogical? What's the point of putting me here?

But a challenge is a challenge—I have no reason not to accept it. I'll give it everything I've got. If I fail, so be it. By all logic, I should be dead already. If God hadn't preserved my consciousness, I'd have disappeared from the universe the moment of that glorious flash."

Ender's greatest strength, like that of his comrades, wasn't raw power but the relentless spirit of progress, no matter the circumstances.

Humans believe death is the end, but isn't it true that nine immortal beings still exist in this world?

They are the ones who, with unwavering determination, press forward to solve the riddles God has laid before them.

These riddles are everywhere—hidden in every action, every movement, every branch, and every blade of grass.

Solving all the riddles would mean becoming a god—an existence that cannot die, even if the universe itself collapses back into a singularity.

In plain terms, to achieve that goal, Ender would have to challenge the gods— scientists who completely outclassed him in knowledge and wielded power capable of erasing him in an instant.

The reality? Ender would lose, as he already had when still on Earth. God probably found him amusing and decided to let him wreak havoc one more time.

.....

After running for another four hours, the two finally emerged from the forest. Ye Qingyun set him down and said:

"We've arrived at Baiyu City. From here, we'll take a carriage to my home."

Looking at the towering city walls over ten meters high, Ender thought:

"This city is quite large, but what are these walls meant to defend against? Could it be…? Earlier, I noticed some animals here were unusually large compared to their counterparts on Earth. Are these walls meant to guard against them? That seems like the only plausible explanation. I'll have to study this world carefully before drawing conclusions."

"Thank you for bringing me here so quickly." Ender said, bowing his head.

For now, Ender played the role of a kind and humble old man. Later, he would become the villain who destroys the world.

But for the time being, he needed to stay quiet and accumulate strength.

The two of them hailed a carriage and quickly set off for home.

By the time they arrived, it was already well past noon. Gazing at the grand mansion before him, Ender wasn't particularly surprised.

After all, he wasn't exactly poor. His base in the Himalayas was at least a hundred times the size of this estate.

Still, he put on an act of feigned humility, saying:

"This place… this place is far too luxurious. I can't stay here."

Ye Qingyun, seeing the sincerity in his demeanor, chuckled and replied:

"It's fine. This is my home, and if I say it's okay, then it's okay."

"Then thank you, Miss." Ender said, bowing slightly.

As they walked deeper into the estate, he asked:

"Are there any books here about general knowledge of this world? I feel like I've forgotten everything. If I don't know anything, I won't be able to help you properly."

Brilliant! It was clear he wanted free information, but he made it sound so reasonable. After all these years, his wit and quick thinking hadn't dulled.

Ye Qingyun, touched by the old man's earnestness, couldn't bear to refuse. Smiling, she said:

"Alright, let me take you to your room. You can bathe and change into fresh clothes. I'll have someone bring the books to you."

Tears streamed down Ender's face as he immediately knelt, only to be quickly helped up by her. Crying, he said:

"Hic… hic… Miss, you truly are a celestial being descended to Earth. Thank you so much!"

If his old comrades were here, they would have screamed:

"You shameless bastard! Don't ever call us comrades again. Get out of our sight!"
