I Don't Need To Log Out

Hi everyone!

First of all, I'd like to talk a little bit about the story. I recommend reading the entire thing to fully understand what this story is about.

If you're looking for themes like "regression" and "the game is real," this story definitely includes those themes, but instead of hiding them, I made them clear in the very first chapter. These themes have been used so many times already, and I didn't want to write about them unless I had a unique twist to offer.

If that's what you're here for, feel free to read on. I promise you a solid read with no unnecessary and idiotic complications. In this novel, the MC doesn't struggle with other players for the top spot. He freaking knows everything about the game and the future—how could anyone stand against him? Of course, the other enemies are still strong, but I won't make the MC intentionally stay at a low level just to create more content or pit him against other players. Especially since, in his past life, he was already the highest-level player.

Now, let's talk about what this novel is really about!

The main focus of the story is that the MC doesn't need to log out, while the other players do. Imagine what a huge difference that could make. I'm not just talking about levels here. Let's say you log out and then log back in the next day. But the player who was right next to you when you logged out is now far away.

"When did you get there? We were logged out!"

What about the NPCs? Won't they wonder why this player didn't log out?

Not if he acts like one of them.

Anyway, if you want to learn what the NPCs (actually the natives of the planet since this is not a game) are doing when you are not gaming, you are reading the correct novel.

(I want to clarify something that might be misunderstood. EVR is the force that is balancing the universe. It is literally the Nature. But EVR (or 'EVR' before chapter 11) is the game that was released on Earth.)

Alright, I will be creating a name glossary for those (or me) who can easily forget the names of the characters, races, or places. Of course, I will also add a little bit of explanation, so this may contain spoilers. Try to use "ctrl + f" to not get spoiled. I might add the current status and update it regularly if requested.

Agema: A female magician of the past. No one knows the exact times she lived. She may be a bridge between the past and the present.

Arlon: Our loner MC. I don't think there is a need for explanation.

Asef: For as far as we know, he is the leader of the Keldars on Trion. More information will be added when the novel explains more.

Beastman: A race that respects strength on Trion. Even though they are called Beastman, they may be very different since they can look like any beasts (like dogs, cats, elephants, etc...), even the ones that aren't on Earth.

Carole: One of the female members of the Gamers Guild. She is a Priest and might be in love with Zack.

Charon: A magician ("beginner" alchemist) who belongs to the Magus race. He is the owner of the Moonlight Potion Store and seems like someone with a lot of secrets. When looking at the mirror, he sees three question marks instead of his level, which can only happen when looking at someone higher level than you.

Efsa: The name of the hero who unified Trion. His real name is unknown and he is the last known human to live on Trion.

EVR: The force that is balancing the universe.

EVR: The game people think they are playing.

Fairy: A small-looking race with wings on their backs. Even though they seem cute, they are actually quite strong.

Fhrem: A half-giant race in Trion. Even though they look scary, they are actually quite naive.

Gamers: A legendary guild in the past timeline. They have five members, 2 men and 3 women, and they are known to never accept anyone else to the guild.

Gellard: The Magic Swordsman of the past timeline. He is known to be arrogant and not too good at playing the game as well as the Magic Swordsman class. He is not the magic swordsman in the current timeline.

Istarra: The name of one of the many starting towns. Also, this is the one that our MC has started his journey in both his timelines, regarding this town as his home.

Jack: The player our MC killed on the launch day. He may someday come back for revenge. It is a big maybe.

June: One of the female members of the Gamers Guild. She is a Mage and Zack might be in love with her. June doesn't feel that way about Zack, though.

Keldar: The race that is attacking Trion both physically and with the help of Zeno. Also, the monsters strolling on the surface of Trion.

Kelta: The capital of Trion. Almost all the administrators live there.

Lady Rael: The one that received the divination of the coming of the players (a.k.a the saviors).

Lodi: A Beastman girl in Istarra. She is known to be a bit of a troublemaker.

Lei: One of the female members of the Gamers Guild. She is a Warrior and known to be in love with Pierre.

Moonlight Potion Store: The alchemy store owned by Charon.

Oceina: The name of one of the many starting towns, a.k.a frontlines.

Pierre: One of the male members of the Gamers Guild. He is a Tank and known to be in love with Lei.

Sar: A Beastman boy who hangs out with Lodi. Even though he is shy, he joins Lodi's mischievous plans.

Siturakaliterina: A Fhrem blacksmith. He is called Situ by everyone, except for his family, why would his family name him Siturakaliterina if they were to call him Situ?

Trion: The planet the game EVR taking place on. 

Vers: A Fairy girl who hangs out with Lodi. Even though she is shy, she also joins Lodi's mischievous plans together with Sar.

Yuma: A young Beastman girl. She is a dog type and really cute. But she is weak, so she doesn't seem cute to other people of Trion.

Zack: One of the male members of the Gamers Guild. He is a Warrior and suspected to be in love with June.

Zeno: The capsule that is used to enter the "game" EVR. It can provide a human with every biological need they might need, even better than they themselves can.

Zephyrion: The current ruler of Trion.
