I Created Scientific Magic

Chapter 518: The Award Ceremony and Three Corona Medals_2

It took about three and a half hours to distribute medals to more than a hundred wizards. After Harrov read the last name, he turned his gaze toward Lynn and said.

"Next is about the distribution of the Corona Medals!"

"The contributions of Councilman Lynn to the Magic Council are apparent to all, and after deliberation with two other councilmen, we unanimously decided to award him three Corona Medals!"

Upon hearing this, the wizards present were all astir. Although they had known that this star of magic would once again receive the highest honor in the magical world during this award ceremony, this was perhaps a bit too many.

Three whole Corona Medals!

Even Lynn himself was somewhat surprised.

According to the council's regulations, all recipients are barred from participating in the discussion and voting process to prevent any internal manipulation.

The distribution of the Corona Medals was determined through internal discussion among the chairmen, so Lynn had only just learned that he had been awarded three Corona Medals.

Harrov, seeing the questioning and puzzled looks from the audience, began to explain.

"These three Corona Medals are to recognize the three important contributions made by Councilman Lynn!"

"First, he perfected the periodic table of elements, proposed the theory that elements could be divided, and based on this theory, constructed the Sun Furnace (nuclear fusion reactor), creating a ceremony that broke through legendary limits!"

As soon as these words were spoken, all voices of doubt instantly stopped.

This Corona Medal was indeed well-deserved, and no one could voice any objection!

The periodic table, which ranked all elements, had undoubtedly become the most solid foundation of elemental studies; this theory revealed that ordinal elements could transform into one another, all the way back to their origins!

The most crucial achievements were the Big Nuclear Explosion Technique, which could destroy a city in one strike, and the Sun Furnace, which could provide massive amounts of energy!

Of course, there was no need to even mention creating the ceremony that broke through legendary limits; many great wizards felt that just for this alone, it was worth a separate Corona Medal!

It was probably because they complemented each other that they were grouped together.

Harrov looked around the grand hall, and seeing no objections, he continued.

"Second, for Councilman Lynn's exceptional contributions during the imperial wars!"

"Including but not limited to allying with Master Anthony to capture the capital, developing weapons of war, defeating the Holy Maiden of the Church several times, and expelling the false god Alade during the battle of the Holy City..."

The great deeds of demolishing the empire and disbanding the church were discussed and divided into one Corona Medal, ten Silver Moon Medals, and more than thirty Morning Star Medals.

This sole Corona Medal naturally had to be awarded to Lynn.

In the past several key battles, Lynn was always the main attacker, and his contributions were the greatest. Without the legendary magic "Doomsday - Atomic Breath" that he developed, it would have been nearly impossible to drive away Alade.

After Harrov recounted these achievements, no wizard present could raise any objection.

"Lastly, for decrypting photoelectric and reconstructing the quantum theory of elemental internal structure!" Harrov added.

This was undoubtedly the most controversial aspect, as the proposal of quantum theory only happened seven or eight days ago. Even if this theory could explain various strange phenomena discovered in photoelectric research, it still defied common sense,

but the previous two contributions were too significant. Moreover, great wizards like Alade, forming a debate team, all conceded before Lynn, so no one stood up to oppose it.

Three Corona Medals, no more, no less!

In fact, if not for considering that the Corona Medal is the highest award in the magical world and issuing too many would affect its rarity, it would have been normal to award Lynn two more medals based on his merits.

Vittorio and others even considered creating a higher award, such as a Lifetime Contribution Award or something of that sort...

Under the gaze of tens of thousands, Lynn stood up gracefully and walked towards the stage.

Harrov solemnly took a box crafted from mithril, opened it, and inside were three dark golden medals with the council's emblem and the Corona Tower on opposite sides, which also served as alchemical tools.

Initially, when facing the evil mage Merck, Lynn relied on their strong protective ability to hold out until Harrov and others came to support. Now, however, with his current strength, such protection was of minimal effect.

By comparison, Lynn was more curious about what materials were used to make these items; it was said to originate from beyond the Space-Time Gate and could bear incredibly strong forces. Since there was only one sample previously, he had yet to try dissolving it with the "Great Decomposition Technique."

Harrov was unaware that, at this moment, Lynn was considering whether to melt these highest honors of the magical realm. Along with Aurora and Vittorio, they each took a medal and personally pinned it on Lynn's chest.

The spacious exhibition hall instantly erupted in thunderous applause. Whether or not the wizards present agreed with the star of magic's quantum theory, they couldn't deny his immense contributions to the magical world!

The fact that they could stand here today, freely wielding magic on this grand avenue, Lynn deserved enormous credit!

Especially the younger wizards with big dreams, looking up at the stage, were filled with fervor and longing.

The legendary deeds of the star of magic had already spread across the entire kingdom. In just a few short years, he went from a third-ring wizard who fled to Wizard Land to escape persecution from the church, to the prestigious councilman at the apex of the council's power!

After the award ceremony was completed, Lynn looked towards the thousands of wizards in the exhibition hall, briefly made his acceptance speech, and stated that the council never underestimates anyone who makes remarkable contributions!

As long as one has the ability, the dreams, and puts in the effort, perhaps one day they too could stand on this stage as the next star of magic!

...

"How does it feel to receive three Corona Medals at once, Councilman Lynn?" Vittorio asked teasingly after Lynn had returned to his seat following the speech.

You should know, throughout the entire history of magic, only ten Corona Medals have been awarded in total. Including the one he got for his universal gravitational law, Lynn himself had won four!

"Not bad, I guess," Lynn replied with a smile.

He didn't really care much for these awards, since his reputation was already well established, but accepting the awards was essential as this honor could inspire other wizards to zealously engage in their research.

What truly made him happy was the joy of spreading knowledge and being recognized for it.

"With your theory of quantum out, I'm afraid no one will join the prophecy school anymore," Aurora said somewhat helplessly.

Probability clouds and wave-particle duality undoubtedly had the greatest impact on elemental studies and prophecy studies.

Because the Prophecy School believed everything could be predicted, now turned into everything is probabilistic, predictions naturally became a joke.

Lynn raised an eyebrow but didn't respond; he had also read quite a few books from the Prophecy School, which discussed the entanglement of astrological changes and individual fates.

Even though Aurora's prophecy seemed successful once, predicting the chaos instigated by the evil mage Merck, as well as his rise as the 'Brown Star,' Lynn still found it unreliable!

The movement of stars was influenced by gravity and could hardly be related to individual fates.

On the contrary, his conceptualization of quantized magic tended to a slight bias in manipulating fates.

"Your prophecy should have been discarded long ago, not even predicting Eira's escape," Harrov scoffed.

The so-called prophecies of the Prophecy School were very vague, often only understood after the fact, and he highly suspected they were merely post-hoc rationalizations that couldn't be taken seriously!

"The revelation of fate is not so easily obtained…" Aurora shook her head, about to argue a few words in defense of the Prophecy School, but her expression suddenly changed.

At the same moment, Harrov, Vittorio, and Lynn sharply stood up from their seats.

It wasn't that they had received a new revelation, but the sealed Space-Time Gate had been tampered with!
