I Cook Limitlessly In a Fantasy World

Chapter 53: The Power of Palatebloom Fire

"It looks like we have no choice but to leave. We can't break this barrier," Naresh said with a sigh. "It's too tough."

"Screw it. There's still a whole mountain to explore. There should be a challenge or two on this mountain," Hammer said.

Just as they turned around and were leaving, a familiar voice rang from behind.

"Leaving already? Don't you want to take on the challenge?"

Naresh and others turned around.

"Ainen?" Naresh blinked.

"Wait, is this your barrier?" Hammer was dumbfounded. "When did you get such a powerful artifact?"

"I got it from you know who," Ainen said as he winked.

"Ah, I see. That wandering master who taught you and left." Hammer nodded and then wryly smiled. "Lucky brat."

"Come on in."

Ainen opened a slight gap in the barrier and let the people inside.

The group was startled by the monsters roaming in the central area and the woods, but Ainen reassured them.

"These are my monsters. I summoned them," Ainen said and clarified. "Before you ask how, let me tell you that it's thanks to my class skill. I can transform a food dish into a hell-themed monster."

"Your class is really strange and powerful."

The two Awakened-rank young men in their early twenties were tongue-tied.

"I just noticed. You broke through, Ainen." Naresh smiled. "Congrats. That was fast, but not unexpected considering it's you."

"That's a challenge trigger!" Volmik, one of the Awakened rank outsiders, exclaimed as he saw the glowing tree and got its information window.

"Yeah, I haven't gone in yet, but I was about to go in when you guys arrived."

"Then shall we go after resting for ten minutes?" Naresh asked.

"Sure."

Ten minutes later, Ainen put the Wagon Diner back into his Inventory with Ron and Syl already inside the Limitless Kitchen.

The Hell-Themed Monsters disappeared automatically when he put away the Wagon Diner.

"Let's go."

[ Challenge: Black Tide Rush ]

Ainen, Naresh, Hammer, and the two Awakened-rank guys, Volmik and Toram, vanished and appeared inside a barren fort.

Dark clouds loomed over the sky, crackling with thunder.

The fort was lit up with torches on this night as the moon's light wasn't enough in this stormy weather.

[ Kill 10,000 Monsters to complete the challenge before the castle's core is destroyed. ]

"Ten thousand monsters? Damn," Volkin said, his eyes wide.

"Castle's core…could it be that?" Toram looked at the far end of the castle behind, where a tall, giant crystal was stationed as if it grew out of the ground, reaching five meters in height and thickness.

"Let's go up," Naresh said before a pillar of Earth shot out from below his feet, taking him high up.

Hammer also went up in a similar fashion. Though he was an Awakened-rank, his Earth Manipulation was the same as Naresh's, at A-rank.

Ainen also flew up and looked ahead since there was nothing behind. The area behind the castle was completely dark, the wall of this dimension.

"This might be more challenging than I thought," Naresh muttered as he looked at the tide of darkness ahead with countless eyes.

Monsters.

A lot of monsters, bloating both the land and the sky.

They were a few kilometers away and were not moving. However, their roars and cries could be heard.

"Why aren't they coming at us?" Hammer frowned.

"If they don't come, we can go there." Ainen grinned as he raised his hand.

One hundred Blastbows appeared above him.

Arrow-type: Spherical Explosion.

'Let's see how powerful these current stats are.'

Stats: 12

—> Vitality: Ⅲ 20 Ⅲ + 60%

—> Strength: Ⅲ 20 Ⅲ + 60%

—> Stamina: Ⅲ 20 Ⅲ + 60%

—> Agility: Ⅲ 20 Ⅲ + 60%

—> Cognition: Ⅲ 20 Ⅲ + 60%

—> Arcane: Ⅲ 60 Ⅲ + 60%

—> Mana: Ⅲ 60 Ⅲ + 60%

Ainen had no buff from food, but he wanted to check his power without buffs.

A hundred arrows shot out in a simultaneous blast from their bows, landing into the tide of the monsters in a second.

They spread within several hundred meters, each one exploding in a radius of 20 meters and bearing an unimaginable firepower.

Awakened-rank Monsters simply turned into ash in an instant.

Adept-rank Monsters also died brutally, and the strong ones among them were heavily injured, burning intensely and trying to snuff the flames.

Chaos erupted in the large black tide of the monsters.

Naresh's eyes trembled. 'Is this the power of an S-rank element manipulation mastery? Even I can't cause such a large destruction despite having higher stats than him.'

"Holy hell," Hammer mumbled, his mouth wide open.

Volmik and Toram could hear the explosions and the hundred bows in the sky, but couldn't see the result.

They quickly climbed up the fort's rampart through the ladder and saw a large area burning up with monsters ahead.

'Is that his power? What the fuck?'

'He just broke through to Adept-rank, no?'

Ainen was still focused, his eyes glinting.

Mana Gourds appeared and filled up before he absorbed them to fill up his Mana Pool.

'I can do more with that fire.'

Palatebloom flame, devour!

The burning monsters were getting eaten up by the flames as Ainen stirred his flames.

As his Palatebloom flames devoured monsters, the fire got stronger and stranger, taking the shapes of monsters and fueling itself up more to eat others.

Ainen's eyes were glimmering as he explored the true power of his Palatebloom Fire through the mystic attribute that enchanted his Fire into Palatebloom Fire.

"W-What the hell is going on? Am I seeing things or what?" Hammer spoke as he saw that the fires were increasing and more Monsters were dying.

Ainen was leveling up as the Adept-rank Monsters above his level died.

"You are not dreaming. This…is Ainen's enchanted Fire, the one he comprehended by grasping a Mystic Attribute." Naresh said, but his eyes were also shaking as he witnessed that. "The flame is eating the monsters, transforming and becoming stronger."

Hammer's mind was buzzing as he watched the monsters dying en masse. "What kind of flame is this?"

In just ten seconds, the fire covered five hundred meters of area with monsters burning up, and flaming monsters spreading, increasing more and more.

"It's called Palatebloom Fire," Ainen answered with a chuckle. "But damn, it's more powerful than I expected. The flames are acquiring characteristics of monsters they burn, and becoming more and more exotic the more they burn other monsters."

"Wait, it sounds like what I do." Ainen realized something.

His Tongue and Mind. He would taste all kinds of stuff, mix all, and combine different stuff to get new tastes, gradually increasing the possibilities of new dishes.

His tongue absorbed the data, and his mind cooked new things from the data he constantly gathered, and like that, he gradually entered into a realm of cooking others could only watch and envy.

Endless taste. Infinite variety. That was the essence of Ainen's cooking. That was the reason people were mad for his food.

Because they could eat food they could never imagine.

And it was reflecting in his Palatebloom Fire quite aptly!

'So the Mystic Attribute I comprehended is perhaps Taste. I always had it, but now, it had manifested in me, and when I was in that focused insight, I somehow applied it into my Fire, making it Palatebloom Fire.'

Lord Black chuckled. 'Simply amazing. It's true that Mystic Attribute requires a certain depth with a subject to actualize it into an attribute. Any subject. People can't just acquire Mystic Attribute out of nowhere, but you were attuned because of your years of exceptional experience as a chef.'

'And it's damn powerful, if you haven't realized it.' Lord Black wryly smiled as he saw the destruction caused by Ainen through his eyes. 'Mystic Attributes vary greatly in power and utility, but yours is top-tier for sure.'

[Spotlight Confirmed. Do you wish to share?]

'Oh, I finally got my second spotlight.'
