The number of volunteers assigned to the rescue team by Lin City was quite large. After Chen Xin finished breakfast, a volunteer team of around fifty people was led by Lin City staff to the rescue station to help.

However, this can't be considered a fully set-up tent; besides needing to continue inflating to maintain the strength of the air columns, and ensuring the tent's support, ground stakes are required for fixation. Chen Xin sent two volunteers to fix the ground stakes, while he and another volunteer installed the lighting tubes that would be fixed to the tent's top. The remaining two volunteers were dispatched by Chen Xin to transport beds and heaters.

The interior space of the tent isn't low; a typical person might need a stool to install the lighting tubes, but Chen Xin could use the mechanical arm for assistance.

Watching Chen Xin fixing the lighting tubes into pre-designated positions on the tent's top, a nearby volunteer suddenly got curious and asked, "Bro, is your Power Armor issued by the government? Does our country have such a great thing? How can someone get a set of this? Are you from a special unit?"

"You mean this? I'm not really sure. If you want to know, you should ask the relevant departments." Chen Xin replied vaguely, without mentioning that the Power Armor was made by himself.

Although he fully understood the volunteer's curiosity and envy regarding the Power Armor, some matters didn't need to be casually discussed everywhere.

As for the medical tents themselves, their cold-weather effectiveness wasn't bad. According to the technical parameters on the manual Chen Xin found, the tents could withstand temperatures ranging from -40℃ to 65℃, and still function optimally even under harsh cold weather conditions.

However, being able to withstand a -40℃ environment isn't sufficient for the current situation, thus requiring a cold weather upgrade and modification.

The tents mainly rely on space between their inner and outer layers for insulation to maintain warmth in this way.

It's similar to how double-glazed glass is more cold-resistant than single-pane—different mediums have different heat conduction efficiencies, and creating space between two insulating materials prevents direct heat transfer to the outer layer, thereby achieving good thermal insulation.

But the effect of this approach is quite limited, so the medical tents are equipped with stoves for heating, maintaining the tent's internal temperature at a relatively not-so-cold level.

In addition, a very important element for the tent is the ground mat. Without an effective insulating mat to prevent heat from dissipating downward, it's still difficult to maintain the tent's internal temperature.

Likewise, when Chen Xin planned to upgrade and modify the tent's insulation efficiency, he focused mainly on these two aspects.

Chen Xin had previously inspected that the material of this spare medical tent and the ones already set up were both PVC airtight fabric, achieving insulation through the extra cold-insulating cotton layer and the interlayer space between the inner and outer fabric.

To improve insulation efficiency, the first choice is naturally to update the materials. Replacing the tent fabric and ground mat with materials that offer better insulation will naturally enhance the tent's insulation efficiency.

The other choice is to improve the tent's structure, blocking heat conduction paths and minimizing heat loss, thereby achieving insulation effects.
