Chapter 98: Splendor
At this moment, in Luis's palm, fire and lightning gathered to form a kind of ball.
Its existence gave high pressure to the space so that it even trembled.
"So strong," said the middle-aged man in surprise, spontaneously glancing left and right where large pieces of concrete flew into the air because gravity became chaotic.
That pressure turned out to be enough to make it difficult for him to move.
'Is he an A-Level Awakener?' He wondered but felt it made no sense if an A-Level Awakener he didn't know wanted to kill him.
This could only possibly be done by a fellow B-Level Awakener who wanted quick and large Battle Points.
"Shit!" The middle-aged man cursed before taking out a large sword which he then swung at Luis.
He seemed to have power that focused on physical strength and his large sword might have a very heavy weight.
His attack looked slow, but if hit by his sword strike, Luis thought he would also be injured.
He did not dodge, but turned his body except his hand into shadow so that the large sword passed through him as if striking thin air.
That made the middle-aged man off guard because he thought his attack would hit Luis.
If he dodged, he was also ready to dodge, but because he was off guard, he was too late to do it.
Luis's hand holding the lightning and fire ball hit his body.
That lightning and fire ball was indeed as fierce as it looked, easily piercing his body.
Boom!
It suddenly exploded, releasing massive lightning and fire, instantly destroying the middle-aged man's body into small pieces.
He was as if chopped with a sword but every piece of flesh had burned.
(Battle Point: 15,877,329/100,000,000)
Luis's Battle Point instantly increased by 3.1 Million.
He couldn't hold back a wide smile, very satisfied.
If this continued to be done, it wouldn't be long before he reached Level A.
The effect of his attack was naturally very large. Lightning and fire soared up to pierce the clouds in the sky, practically visible across this destroyed city.
The man in his 30s was apparently lucky. He was not hit by that fire and lightning because they surged upward.
However, he fell after staggering, terrified as he stared at Luis.
His whole body trembled non-stop and full of sweat.
Luis of course would not allow any witnesses.
He sent one lightning bolt at him.
BANG!
Instantly, his body exploded.
Luis quickly left, returned to the restaurant toilet area he had entered and opened a gap to the real world there, returning to that toilet.
Everything happened too fast. It was no different that he really urinated.
After exhaling, he came out of that toilet with a faint smile, not making a single person feel he had done something big.
At this moment, he saw a large bus stop in front of that restaurant.
It seemed that it was the bus rented by Thomas.
The students had finished breakfast and some were already ready to go.
Luis had not really finished his food, but he no longer wanted to eat.
"Luis, do you want to go now?" asked Thomas seeing him still standing.
"Yes," answered Luis.
"Alright, then let's go," said Thomas.
"Guys, come on!" He called the other students who quickly stood up from their chairs.
After that, they started getting on the bus which had a luxurious interior where every seat was a VIP seat.
That was stated by a local middle-aged man with a thick beard.
"Are you Mr. Thomas?" he asked Thomas who approached him.
"Yes, take us to Velos Sun High School," answered Thomas.
He sat in the front which had two passenger seats and invited Luis to sit by the window.
That was indeed a more suitable place for Luis because he was not so familiar with the other students.
The bus driver immediately drove his bus after hearing Thomas's request.
He seemed to know very well every location in this big city.
The bus crossed a bridge to a large road on each side of which was filled with pedestrians.
Luis really saw more imperial citizens than Velos citizens.
Compared to other cities, he saw more bars and entertainment venues in this city.
The bars lined up beside the road were even guarded by imperial women who looked friendly even to Velos residents.
The students who saw that became curious. Many of them considered the imperial women with their bright blonde hair more attractive. They were so friendly, could they be approached?
After all, it was very rare for Velos men to date imperial women, more often the other way around.
Passing through the area filled with entertainment venues and bars, the bus crossed another bridge. This time, it was a bridge with a length of up to 1 kilometer with the help of anglers fishing from the bridge's sidewalk.
Apparently there were many fish below because Luis saw almost all the anglers got fish.
Among those anglers, one made Luis dumbfounded, a young blonde-haired woman with twin tails.
She fished while sitting without any expression at all.
"Isn't she Velika Aris?" said one of the students.
"Right, she is Velika Aris, an imperial student, why is she here?"
The other students of course recognized her because she was quite famous for their school and once attacked their school to capture Luis.
"I heard several imperial students disappeared when they went to Hawaii and Velika was the only one who survived because she got separated from them?"
"What actually happened?"
"I don't know, the police are still investigating and until now there has been no result."
"…"
Luis just stayed silent when hearing the students' conversation that reminded him of what he had done and he actually almost forgot it.
Velika Aris who kept looking down naturally didn't notice that the bus passing behind her contained Luis and the students from the school opposite to hers.
They just passed her.
After Velika Aris, Luis actually saw another acquaintance, Tyler, a mixed-blood man of imperial and Velos who awakened with a Tier 3 Spirit.
He was also fishing, with a beautiful local woman with short brown hair but already in her 30s.
She leaned against Tyler's body and one of Tyler's hands hugged her slim waist.
Unlike Velika Aris, Tyler clearly had sharp instincts.
He looked at the bus, instantly finding Luis's figure who sat by the window.
The bus glass wasn't too dark, so everyone inside could be seen, especially in the eyes of Awakeners.
Tyler was quite surprised when he saw Luis.
However, they were not familiar and had no hostility.
Tyler just kept looking at him without greeting until the bus passed him.
"Who is he?" The students wondered.
"I felt a great pressure when seeing him," said another.
"Yeah, as if he is a giant monster."
"Luis, do you know him?" asked Thomas.
He could see Tyler's gaze directed at Luis.
"Just know, you surely have heard of him. His name is Tyler, a mixed-blood man who awakened with a Tier 3 Spirit," answered Luis.
"So that's him!" Thomas was surprised along with the other students when hearing Luis's words.
"Seems like you've met before," said Thomas.
"Indeed…" Luis didn't deny it.
Their conversation attracted the bus driver's attention.
"You better not provoke Tyler. He often kills people and no police dare punish him even though he kills imperial citizens," said the bus driver.
He seemed to know Tyler well.
Luis only smiled hearing his words because in reality, Tyler dared not fight him.
Not long after, the bus had crossed that bridge only to arrive at a more crowded area. This was the luxury goods shopping center, filled with stylish imperial girls, making the students' eyes difficult to blink.
However, those imperial girls looked at those inside the bus with disgusted gazes as if they were looking at monkeys.
The students could only scratch their heads, unable to get angry.
In this shopping center, Luis saw a really large black building, shaped like a turtle shell, not tall but covered a vast area with many luxury cars parked in its yard.
"This is it, Abyys Den Velos 1," said Thomas.
Luis had guessed this because of the building's color similarity, but he didn't expect it to be so big.
"At night, this place is really crowded. Might be visited by up to a hundred thousand visitors," said Thomas again.
Luis could not react after hearing that because he became curious.
Crowds were always exciting. As a young man, how could he not be interested.
Next to that casino, he saw a skyscraper that was actually a restaurant if seen from the large screen above its entrance displaying various food menus.
He didn't expect such a large restaurant and it seemed to be a restaurant with many VIP rooms.
The higher it was, the more expensive it got.
On that screen, he saw the website address of the restaurant.
Out of curiosity, he opened it on his phone, finding a list of VIP rooms in the restaurant that could be booked through that site.
The most expensive was of course the VIP rooms on the top floors.
Prices started from 1 Million to 10 Million Dollars.
What surprised Luis, the tables on the rooftop of the restaurant were also very expensive even though it wasn't a room for a single reserver.
It had dozens of tables basically for visitors who didn't want to eat in enclosed rooms.
One table was priced at 7 Million Dollars, including the food.
