Chapter 266: Void Condensation & Origin Space
Without a module system to automate such a tedious task, unlike everyone who was so tired they could barely move, Nash nearly wanted to sleep from boredom.
Having immense computational power also came with its own shortcomings.
Predicting far ahead in the battle, Nash was just shy of pressing a fast-forward button to finish it quickly.
Fortunately, everything was now over.
Having conquered three designated zones, they only needed to face one final beast tide to qualify for level 5 shelter advancement.
Soon, Nash quickly prepared the ingredients and began to cook.
Suddenly smelling the delicious aroma, everyone unconsciously gulped.
With superb control and knowledge from various cooking books, Nash's cooking skill had reached tier 3.
With a bit more training, blending his understanding of the runic program and elements, he might break through to tier 4 culinary skills.
However, as it was just a hobby to satisfy his taste, Nash didn't pursue it deliberately.
Soon, as he finished cooking, everyone snapped out of their daze and began to celebrate.
Though still exhausted, the warm food flowing through them made them feel alive.
"Let's eat first… forget everything. We'll tackle the last beast tide once everyone's rested…"
---
The next day, fully rested, Nash headed straight to the training hall.
He could no longer delay his advancement to the Void General Rank.
He had a feeling this coming battle wouldn't be easy.
Though he already had Natasha and Hobis as sharp swords to pierce the enemy, he still needed to ensure his own strength.
Concentrating, Nash began to visualize his advancement.
Each advancement to a new realm was critical and couldn't simply be automated with a module system.
Stepping into a higher realm was different from progressing within one.
More importantly, in the condensation stage, Nash had to be careful to create the most solid foundation.
Focusing intensely, Nash suddenly entered his deep subconscious.
Unlike the emptiness of the runic space, this place had a pool in the center, surrounded by dense, pervading mist.
"Is this my origin space?" Nash wondered.
The origin space, the manifestation of his realm, his connection to the elements, laws, and the universe.
Some said it resided deep in the soul, others in the primordial genes, while some claimed it lay at the core of one's being.
One thing was certain: the Origin Space was the manifestation of his being, the essence of all his power.
Nash had read that only those who reached the peak of the Void General Rank and comprehended the essence of the universe's elements could enter this space.
He hadn't expected to access it before even advancing.
Looking at the pool and the mist, Nash figured they represented his Void Saturation and Fortification.
The pervading mist was the void energy he'd absorbed, while the pool was his fortified void energy, gently swaying at the center.
"What about the manifestation of my soul?" Nash wondered, glancing around.
According to the books, each person's soul manifestation was unique.
If the void could be simply represented by mist and a pool, every soul reflected a distinct origin.
Unfortunately, from the sky to the ground, all he saw was endless darkness.
"Strange…"
Walking through the darkness, searching for his soul's manifestation, Nash suddenly realized something.
"Does this place even have a limit?"
The books described the Origin Space as roughly the size of a room.
Though it would grow as one comprehended more elements and laws, that was later.
Exploring for hours, Nash couldn't even find the edge of the space.
He confirmed he wasn't going in circles, as the induction of the void mist and pond remained clear.
"Isn't this like my soul? Infinite, boundless, without end?" Nash thought in disbelief.
Pressing forward for a few more hours, he still found no boundary.
"So that's it!" Nash confirmed his suspicion.
Walking such a vast distance, the induction from his void manifestation also grew fainter, serving as a wake-up call.
Like his void manifestation that would grow fainter with distance, his soul manifestation should be so far away he couldn't even discern its position.
To find it, rather than searching aimlessly, he needed to make his soul stronger, larger, and more distinct.
Fortunately, there was no urgent need to locate his soul manifestation yet.
Walking back to the manifestation of his void energy, Nash returned to the center.
"It's time to advance…"
Diving deep into the pool of void energy, Nash's body outside instinctively began to mobilize merits.
Gazing at the flowing ethereal energy in the Origin Space, Nash mobilized it, swirling the pool of void energy and condensing it into a solid form.
Following the infinite void condensation manual he'd deduced, he meticulously shaped the pool of void into a solid sphere.
From the hardness of ice to solid rock, then metal, to crystal, Nash didn't dare to be careless.
He had to forge the toughest and densest void core, as it would be the foundation determining how far he could rise.
From a hardness of 10, like diamond, to 100, 1,000, 3,000, 5,000, 7,000, 8,000, 9,000…
The closer he got to the limit, the slower his progress became.
Mobilizing all his soul's power, he pressed on, condensing the crystallized void energy in his hands.
Soon, the void core's hardness climbed: 9,100, 9,300, 9,500, 9,600, 9,700, 9,800, 9,900, 9,999…
"Just the final push!"
Urging every bit of his power, the void core still wouldn't budge.
"No, this isn't my limit!"
As if fighting for his life, Nash activated the [Overlimit Module System], pushing his power beyond the limit.
Suddenly, with a surge of power, the void core finally advanced, reaching a hardness of 10,000!
Thinking he could continue, Nash tried to press on.
But as he noticed the void core seemed about to crack, Nash hurriedly stopped.
"Huh… Too dangerous! It seems this really is the limit," Nash thought lightly.
He had assumed the theoretical limit came from others' shortcomings, but now it was clear it was the void energy's boundary.
No matter how much it was condensed, it could only reach 10,000 amplification.
Anymore, and the void energy would crack by itself.
