I Can Program My Body?

Chapter 256: Spiral Behemoth

Although it's not perfect, it has all the functions he wanted.

Movement for control, attack for its spiral weapon, energy for infusion of void crystals, status to check its current durability, and view to remotely control it.

If Nash didn't want to control it manually, it could even act autonomously, targeting the nearest dark beast.

Most of all, this new module system was universally configured, meaning other seeded talents could use it to control as many Spiral Behemoths as they wanted!

"Hahaha, perfect!" Nash laughed heartily.

Suddenly, while he was admiring his creation and planning to test its combat ability, Nora barged in.

"Huh? Is this your creation? How do you even control this thing? Where's the cockpit?" Nora asked, puzzled.

Usually, such a large-scale battle weapon would be controlled by multiple people, like a battleship.

But looking at the massive tank before her, there seemed to be no place for anyone to get inside.

"How could I create such a low-quality battle weapon? This thing can be controlled remotely and even move autonomously!"

If he created a weapon like everyone else's, how could he present it as his ticket to becoming an official scientist?

Even if it were stronger than usual, he'd only be known as a great mechanic, not a scientist.

His weapon had to be new, innovative, and novel to qualify as the key to his recognition as a scientist.

As for scalability and reproducibility, Nash could only say sorry.

Without the module system, these war machines would be mere scrap.

Anyway, scalability and reproducibility weren't needed to become a scientist.

As long as he could recreate it, proving it wasn't luck, it was enough.

Meanwhile, hearing Nash brag, Nora was speechless.

Remote control? Autonomous movement? Wasn't that something only technology could achieve?

Suddenly, Nora thought of Nash's genetic ability.

"Is it controlled using a module system?"

"You guessed it right."

"Huh~ Awesome! It seems your ability has infinite potential!" Nora muttered in amazement.

A genetic ability was an extension of the universe's laws, so it usually only boosted an individual's performance or produced a destructive attack.

In rare instances, a genetic ability could also take effect on a massive scale, like inducing enlightenment, accelerating training, healing, or generating materials.

Yet, after pondering Nash's ability for months, Nora still couldn't figure out where it fit.

As if it could do and control everything as long as Nash willed it, she couldn't think of a law that could do the same.

"Alright, don't be dazed. Let's test this baby out," Nash said, storing the Spiral Behemoth in his storage item.

"Oh, right!" Nora nodded hurriedly and followed Nash outside the shelter.

---

Following the map marked by the seeded talents who explored the dangerous dark beasts around the shelter, Nash quickly found his target.

[Stone Giant: Tier 4 Mutated

Combat power: 350 million]

"Let's try this one first…"

Taking the Spiral Behemoth from his storage item, Nash controlled it to move toward the Stone Giant.

With its slow movement, it seemed the Stone Giant could escape with a single leap.

However, drawn by the dense void energy within the war machine, the ignorant monster only knew how to attack.

Facing the slow Spiral Behemoth, the Stone Giant roared in fury, trying to smash it to pieces.

But as if hitting a stubborn rock, the Spiral Behemoth only dug deeper into the soil.

With its tracked wheels, it pressed forward unimpeded.

Meanwhile, dealing no significant damage, the Stone Giant grew angrier, climbing onto the Spiral Behemoth and pounding it from above.

Bam! Bam! Bam!

Under a flurry of attacks, the Spiral Behemoth continued to move, controlled by Nash like a tractor rolling through a field.

"The defensive ability and mobility passed the test," Nash remarked, checking the Spiral Behemoth's status.

Though the Stone Giant managed to reduce its durability with each strike, it didn't damage the core components, merely consuming the reserved void crystal.

This meant that as long as it had enough void crystals, it could endure endless attacks until it outlasted its enemies.

Meanwhile, watching Nash control the massive war machine like a toy car, Nora's lips couldn't help but twitch.

She never expected to witness such an operation in the dark plane in her lifetime.

If not for the vivid reality coursing through her, she might have thought she was dreaming.

"Now, it's time to attack…"

Having tested its defense and mobility, Nash pressed the attack command.

Whrrr… whrrr…

WHRRRRRRRRR!

Like a beast awakening, the spiral slowly spun, then accelerated, grinding and piercing through anything in its path.

Shaking the Stone Giant off the Spiral Behemoth, Nash controlled the spiral of death as it slowly turned toward its target.

Despite the obvious danger, the dark beast charged, unaware it was heading to its doom.

KRRRNNNKHHHHH~

Like crunching stone, the Stone Giant was impaled through its stomach, killing it instantly.

[Stone Giant Killed: +320 million merits.]

"Instant kill? As expected of my proud creation!" Nash clenched his fist.

Though slow and rigid, its power and defense were off the charts!

The Stone Giant couldn't even resist before it was pierced to death.

Still, observing its performance, Nash thought of several improvements.

First was anti-air capability.

If it couldn't shake off dark beasts climbing on top, it would harm its durability.

Even if it could defend, it would waste energy, a flaw he could easily fix.

Next was its taunting skills.

Instead of relying on basic taunting using its energy supply, Nash planned to create a control for manually adjusting its taunting abilities.

He also considered energy storage to ensure it wouldn't run out of power in the middle of a battlefield.

Overall, though it exceeded his expectations, there was still room for improvement.

Soon, Nash began testing the Spiral Behemoth against various dark beasts.

From different shapes, sizes, types, strengths, and terrains.

Nash also shared the [Weapon Control Module System] with Nora to check for errors in the runic program.

Testing the Spiral Behemoth's limits, Nash grew increasingly satisfied.

Though he discovered various shortcomings, from weaknesses in terrains like water and mud, against elemental and ethereal dark beasts, flying dark beasts, adaptability, and more, it remained a perfect war machine to face any coming dark beast tide.

If he could create a hundred of these war machines, it should be enough to help their shelter advance to level 5 before the end of the simulated training!

"Now, it's time for mass production…"
