I Can Assimilate Everything

Chapter 460: The Shepherds of Stories! I

The restored Emperor King's hands clenched into fists, stellar energy crackling between his fingers in unconscious response to rising anger.

Everything began with the manipulated betrayal…all those years ago!

A moon disappeared beneath the Sea of Thalassara's surface, its drowning marked only by a brief flare of light that was immediately absorbed into the aquatic expanse.

"We need to learn more information about these Outsiders," Achilles said with finality. "Not just their capabilities or locations, but their nature. What they are, what they want, why they've chosen our Star Seas as their stage."

His father was quiet for a long moment, processing implications that rewrote centuries of understanding.

When he spoke, his voice carried the dangerous calm of someone who had moved past anger into something colder.

"If what you're suggesting is true," Adras said, "then every moment of grief, every death that shaped us, every choice we thought was ours... it was all orchestrated?"

"Not simply orchestrated," Achilles said carefully. "Influenced. Nudged. Like a river being guided by carefully placed stones.. still flowing naturally, but along paths someone else designed."

"That's almost worse," his father observed. "At least with a orchestration, we could claim no responsibility. But if they merely influenced, then we still chose. We still betrayed, still killed, still perpetuated the cycles they wanted."

BOOM!

They stood in contemplative silence, watching the Sea continue its consumption of stellar bodies.

"The question becomes," Achilles said eventually, "how do we fight something that exists outside our normal understanding of reality? How do we break free from years of manipulation?"

There was no answer from the Eigth Adrastia Emperor King.

The Sea of Thalassara continued its expansion, indifferent to their planning, each wave carrying the promise of transformation.

In the midst of their conversation, Achilles's expression became stern, the casual discussion of conspiracy shifting into something more immediate and purposeful.

"When it comes to getting answers," he said, his voice carrying the weight of decision already made, "I have an idea I've been thinking about for the last day, but I wish to carry it out now."

"Oh?" His father's eyebrows rose with expectation, recognizing the tone of someone about to propose something either brilliant or catastrophically dangerous- possibly both.

Achilles nodded, a gesture that somehow conveyed both certainty and the kind of recklessness that had already led him to break time itself. "Follow me."

---

Inside Ethemia, atop what had once been the Primal Neon Tower at the center of the Adrastia Continent, transformation had rendered the familiar unrecognizable.

The crystalline structure had evolved into something that defied architectural classification.

It now resembled the stalk of a massive purple-gold stellar vine, its surface no longer smooth crystal but textured with patterns that suggested both organic growth and deliberate design.

The tower had become a stellar trunk, and from this trunk sprouted multiple buildings like fruit or flowers, each one connected by bridges that seemed to be grown rather than built.

It looked like a grand stellar village had been cultivated vertically, civilization growing upward in defiance of conventional urban planning.

Platforms extended from the main stalk at various heights, each one supporting structures that glowed with their own inner light.

Some buildings hung like pods, others spread like mushrooms, and a few seemed to exist in dimensional pockets that were only partially visible from any given angle.

Near the garden of the main castle which crowned this impossible tree-city like a purple-gold flower in full bloom…two figures stood in discussion that had been ongoing for hours.

Rose, in her stellar blue water form, gestured with hands that left trails of liquid light in the air.

Beside her, the Hive Queen's ever-shifting form had settled into something almost stable, her multiple segments arranged in what might have been her version of casual conversation posture.

They were deep in discussion about genetic possibilities when reality rippled above them.

From the Sea of Thalassara, two figures descended with the casual violation of reality that marked true power.

Achilles and his father arrived like titans descending from above, their forms solidifying from stellar energy into something resembling normal matter as they touched down in the garden.

Rose's water form brightened with genuine pleasure, her smile visible even through her liquid features.

"Uncle Adras," she said, her voice carrying waves of flowing water, "let me introduce you to Kythara, the Hive Queen. She's the one who helped me attain my current lineage."

The introduction was casual, as if presenting someone who had helped with homework rather than someone who had fundamentally rewritten the laws of reality to make the impossible possible.

Adras nodded at the Hive Queen with the respect one powerful being shows another, recognizing capability when he saw it.

But before formal pleasantries could be exchanged, Achilles spoke with urgency that cut through any social protocol.

"Our Adrastia line began with the First Adrastia Emperor King and the Outsider," he said, each word placed with deliberate precision. "The woman who was the tool of deception and reason for conflict. So in the depths of our existence, in our lineage... the genetic code of the Outsiders should be there."

…!

The garden went silent except for the subtle hum of stellar energy that permeated everything in this transformed space.

Achilles's eyes blazed with purple-gold fire as he continued, his voice gaining momentum with the force of revelation. "Rose became the Primordial Genome Empress. She has abilities capable of looking into one's genetic code and unlocking hidden or locked components. Paired with the Adrastia Emperor King lineage's capability of looking into and controlling our own genome... we should be able to unlock the hidden genes of that Outsider."

He paused, letting the implications settle.

"The Outsider who would actually be... an Ancestor alongside the First Adrastia Emperor King."

Rose's water form rippled with understanding, her consciousness already reaching out to examine the possibility.

Her eye, emerald points of light floating in stellar water, focused on Adras with reassurance.

"I can already sense something unfathomably locked out," she confirmed, her voice carrying the certainty of someone who had peered into the fundamental code of existence.
