I Can Assimilate Everything

Chapter 455: Glory! I

Fear drove the machinery of existence with more efficiency than any other force.

It was fear, not love or hate, that shaped the fundamental patterns of the Star Seas.

Fear of loss that made beings grasp for power. Fear of insignificance that drove them to leave marks upon reality.

Fear of death that pushed civilizations to transcend their limitations. Fear was the invisible architect drawing blueprints in the shadows of consciousness.

For those knowledgeable about the deep histories, it was said that fear and jealousy drove the first betrayal- three brothers in arms, countless years ago, torn apart over one woman.

Not love that destroyed their bond, but fear of losing, fear of being second, fear of watching another possess what they desired. That primordial betrayal set patterns that would echo through eons!

Fear began wars when leaders imagined threats. Fear ended wars when the cost became too terrifying to continue. Fear was a force of nature that many could not even understand because to understand it fully was to acknowledge how completely it controlled them.

Across the Star Seas, the name Adrastia was feared with particular intensity!

Generation after generation, even after the first betrayal, there had only ever been a single Adrastia Emperor King moving across existence.

One at a time. One per era. This limitation had become a comfort to those who opposed them- terrible as one Emperor King might be, at least there was only one.

There had been.

"…"

Then, the Ninth Adrastia Emperor King came along- the one who was supposed to be the Last Adrastia Emperor King, the final note in a symphony of vengeance and loss!

And at this moment, he had accomplished something that utterly obliterated all possible norms. Through his hands, through abilities that shouldn't exist, through sheer refusal to accept limitation, the Eighth Adrastia Emperor King now stood before him.

Two Adrastia Emperor Kings in the same era.

The fear that would ripple through the Star Seas when this became known would reshape landscapes, strategies, and the very understanding of what was possible. How terrifying things were about to become!

---

In the grove of purple-gold trees, where impossibility had become commonplace, Achilles studied his father with the clinical attention of a healer examining their finest work.

"How do you feel?" he asked, his voice carrying genuine concern. "Your current level of power?"

Adras smiled- an expression that transformed his restored features.

He raised his hand toward the canopy above, and the response was immediate. Starlight that had been filtering through the leaves suddenly intensified, streams of condensed stellar energy raining down like luminous snow. Each mote that touched his skin didn't bounce off or burn—it was absorbed, assimilated, made part of him with the ease of lungs processing air.

His eyes flashed with cold calculation as he assessed his own state, and when he spoke, his voice carried the weight of brutal honesty.

"My existence was shattered and broken, everything I had accumulated over centuries destroyed in moments of betrayal. Right now, my existence is akin to a vast architectural marvel that was demolished- every pillar cracked, every foundation stone turned to dust, every carefully constructed level reduced to rubble."

He paused, continuing to absorb the starlight with methodical precision.

"What you've done, my son, is rebuild the architecture itself. The building stands again, the framework restored, the foundations solid. But it's a shell…magnificent in structure but empty of furnishing. I need to fill it again with complexity, with power accumulated through assimilation, with the countless small advantages that make the difference between an Emperor King and an Emperor King who can reshape reality."

His expression shifted to something approaching eagerness.

"The platform is there, though. Everything I need to rebuild properly. And for someone with my experience, who knows exactly what should go where, the process will be rapid. What took years to accumulate the first time will take days or weeks, with the right resources."

Achilles nodded at these words, understanding flowing between them that needed no elaboration. "Let me help you accelerate the process."

His hands shot out beams of purple-gold light that looked like concentrated possibility given form. This was was Biological Nurturing applied at a level that transcended normal understanding.

Every beam carried with it glorious authority, genetic memories of power, shortcuts through evolutionary paths!

The Eighth Adrastia Emperor King's body responded like desert sand to rain, absorbing everything offered with desperate efficiency. His form began to glow brighter, the restored architecture of his existence beginning to fill with the furniture of power.

Off to the side, a very different scene was unfolding.

Rose, in her aspect as the Primordial Genome Empress, wore an expression of profound embarrassment as Lilian Maxwell subjected her to the kind of intensive questioning that only a mother denied years of involvement could manage.

"So you're telling me…."

Question after question came!

"And then you had a daughter? In space?"

"And now you can transform into water?"

Rose's fair skin flushed deeper red with each question, but she continued the treatment she had begun. Sparkling waves of light were beginning to surround Lilian's body, each one carrying genetic optimization, cellular enhancement, the careful elevation of a baseline human toward something more.

Lilian looked down at herself with surprise as she felt the changes beginning. "Am I becoming an Advanced Human now?"

Rose smiled, grateful for a question she could answer without embarrassment. "You'll become much more than that."

As she spoke, Rose examined her own abilities as the Primordial Genome Empress once more, the blue-bordered information floating in her consciousness with perfect clarity.

The Genetic Weaving Sight revealed layers of possibility in Lilian's genome…dormant sequences that could grant enhanced perception, discarded evolutionary paths that led to energy manipulation, ghost genetics that whispered of potential beyond human limitation.

Through Lineage Synthesis, she could temporarily share aspects of the Adrastia lineage with Lilian, creating resonance that would ease the transformation.

And through the Empress's Genetic Mandate, she could issue commands to willing cells, optimizing their processes, awakening potential that had slept since humanity's earliest days!
