Chapter 227: Words of Goodbye
"Come with you?" I wanted to act stupid so I just repeated his question like a clueless guy.
"Yes, come with us to the Higher Plane!"
"TO THE HIGHER PLANE?!" I exclaimed with glee, although I'm not at all happy at the prospect.
The two hooded men slowly descended from the skies and approached me. The little Qi Energy leaking out of their body was enough to make me feel like the smallest worm in the world in the presence of a normal human being. They are just that powerful.
"I am Yan Sun, and I'm from the Gulong Sect." He simply said. "You probably don't know anything about the Higher Sect but I'll tell you, you'll grow more in your cultivation when you get there! The Qi Energy in the air alone would be enough to put you down on the ground. That's why only us in the Astral Realm could go there. But with my special permission, you can go there! But in turn, you'd have to join the next Black Spirit Tournament!"
"I'm sorry bu— "
"Yongrui, don't reject their offer." Hui-ying continued. "You do know that someone from the Middle Plane can't really negotiate with these guys, right? Just play along with them for now." Hui-ying interrupted me before I could even say anything.
"But what about the Sky Kingdom? What about the plan to reclaim the Higher Plane? How about Natalia and the others we've left behind?"

Yan Sun and the old man expectantly stared at me, awaiting my reply. But just before I could say anything, I could sense a few people behind me. Immediately noticing who they were, I knew that it will only take a few seconds before they realized what was happening. And by then, we'd be dead meat... which is not a good thing, to say the least.
They were the Sky Knights, along with Sir Conrad. Apparently, they just came from a successful subjugation.
Without further ado, I unleashed a fraction of my Qi Energy (more like, most of my Qi Energy), making them fall on their knees in shock. As they stared at me, they realized that I was with two people from the Black Spirit Sect.
'Don't talk! Let me explain everything!' I said in my head as I stared at them. 'If you want to say something, say it in your head and direct it towards me.'
I then gave them all the information I had on the two, including the fact about the Black Spirit Tournament, and how I'm being recruited right now.'
'But, the Black Spirit Tournament is not just a mere tournament, young master, it's basically entertainment for the Black Spirit Sect. These people recruit anyone in the Middle Plane so they won't have to kill their own kin. Young master, please don't go with them.' Sir Conrad worriedly said in his head.
'Don't worry about me... and also, what choice do we have? Can anyone take these guys on? Even I'm not that confident. You can see how powerful I am but I know I won't hold a candle against these two. Please understand... this is for the better good.'
'And also, the Sky Kingdom is not ready. We cannot launch an attack right now. While I buy some time up there, I want you to prepare. I'll leave everything to you, Sir Conrad.' I told them as I gave them a slight smile.
'B-but!'
'You can stop now, they might sense something is wrong.' I said in my head once again.
The group grew silent as they stared at each other. Right now, their leader is sacrificing himself just so they could get away, scot-free. As for me, I instantly stopped using my newfound skill.
"Is everything all right?" Yan Sun concernedly asked as he stared at me. For him, the energy I released must've been minuscule, that's why he didn't feel threatened.
"No, I just thought someone was sneaking up behind me. Turns out they were just zombie hunters."
"Ah, zombie hunters!" Yan Sun wore a smile as he nodded at the old man. "Can I?" He asked out of the blue.
"Sure, go ahead." The old man continued.
Before I could even blink, Yan Sun started charging at the Sky Knights, wearing the most maniacal face I've ever seen. He pulled out gauntlets from his hands, the gauntlets were crimson red and an evil aura emanated from them.
As he charged, I activated my Time Stretch Skill to the fullest. I could feel my Dark Qi core almost exploding as I stretched a second into thirty minutes. And even then, Yan Sun moved as if he was moving normally in real-time. His hood came off, revealing a man with spiky black hair and wild eyes with red pupils. He has that typical villainous look.
Wait, is he really attacking the Sky Knights?! What the—
From where I was, I could see Sir Conrad's eyes widening as he unsheathed his sword and tried to block off Yan Sun's attack. For someone as old as my grandfather, he sure could move fast. However, compared to Yan Sun's power level, he stood no chance against him. If he were to take the brunt of the attack, I could tell all too well that he would be critically injured, or worse, die from the simple attack. And why is he using such a crappy sword? Isn't he like the leader of the Sky Knights?!
No, he can't do it. He'll die at this rate.
