Chapter 195: Silver Star Affiliate Guild
One hour passed, and Ethan and Ashley finally ended their activities. The two of them lay on their backs without clothes on the bed, the sheets damp with sweat.
"That was… amazing," Ashley said, praising Ethan's skill.
"There's something I want to talk about with you," Ethan replied.
Ashley turned her head in curiosity, then shifted her position from lying on her back to lying on her side, watching Ethan.
Her cheeks turned red with embarrassment when Ethan kept looking at her.
"W-What is it, Ethan?" Ashley asked.
"Porco City… is on the verge of a civil war," Ethan replied.
The woman let out a slow breath. She thought Ethan was going to say something else. But it turned out he wanted to talk about Porco City.
Even though Ashley had hoped Ethan would talk about anything other than that.
"What happened?" Ashley asked.
Ethan started explaining the situation in Porco City to her. He explained it while putting his clothes back on.
By the time he finished talking, he had already finished getting dressed as well.
Ashley understood the main points of the problem. But she questioned what kind of action LionArk would take.
"Porco City is a city south of Mavelard, close to us," Ashley said.
"We need to make sure the ruling guild there is one of our affiliates. If not, that could be dangerous," she added.
"You're worried about the same thing I'm thinking."
Ethan turned around. His LionArk uniform was already on him, along with the cloak on his shoulders. He was fully ready, while Ashley was still naked on the bed, relaxing lazily.
"I'll move carefully. I need to confirm whether there are other affiliate guilds among those two sides," Ethan said.
"Yes. Do it carefully, don't make them suspicious."
He nodded. Ashley started putting her clothes back on, her favorite sleepwear.
Ethan stepped out of her room and saw Jill there. Seeing Jill standing in that place surprised him.
"Jill? Since when have you been here?"
"I-I… just arrived," Jill answered, stuttering.
Ethan narrowed his eyes. He turned and saw a stack of documents on the floor, the kind that were meant for Ashley alone.
"I'll bring those documents to Ashley's office. You can go back and work on something else, Jill."
"Alright. Sorry for troubling you, Ethan," Jill said.
The woman walked away from the third floor and went down to the second floor.
Jill met Sherly there, telling her that Ethan and Ashley had finished. Now, Ethan was in his office.
Hearing that made Sherly nod. She climbed the stairs back up to the third floor.
Up there, the doors were closed, including Ashley's room door which had been open earlier.
No strange sounds could be heard anymore, the place completely quiet like usual.
Sherly's destination was Ethan's office. Standing in front of the door, she knocked and told Ethan she had brought some documents.
"Come in, Sherly," Ethan answered.
The door opened. Sherly stepped in, holding documents in a blue folder, the kind that needed Ethan's approval.
"What is it?" Ethan asked.
"The Alanor Guild is requesting a meeting, Sir Ethan."
"These are the details of the meeting and the rundown," Sherly explained.
"Alanor?" Ethan asked.
Alanor was clearly the Rank A guild that once ruled Porco City. Now, they had left the city and set up their base in Mavelard.
They had sent a message to Ethan asking to meet and discuss something. Ethan couldn't guess what they wanted, but he could assume this meeting was about the conflict in Porco City.
"They're the ones coming?" Ethan asked. Sherly nodded.
"Actually… they're already here and waiting in the lobby downstairs," Sherly replied.
Ethan nodded. The situation in Porco City was worrying, the escalation rising and the losses potentially unstoppable.
If nothing was done soon, Porco would collapse, worse than Mavelard.
He told Sherly to go back and bring them up. Clearly, Ethan wanted to meet them and talk about this together.
There might be information they had that Ethan didn't know yet.
Sherly heard him and left. She went down the stairs to get them. Knowing Ethan agreed to meet them was an honor for them.
EthanArk and LionArk's popularity had skyrocketed after they successfully took Mavelard from Silver Star.
Not long after, five people from the Alanor Guild arrived on the third floor. Sherly led them to Ethan's office.
The door opened, and Ethan was still there, sitting at his desk.
"Greetings, Sir Ethan," one of them said.
"Come in."
They entered and sat on the sofa, served by Ethan with Sherly's help. One of them introduced himself as Evan, the Guild Master of Alanor.
Evan began explaining the reason for their visit to the LionArk headquarters. They didn't come for small talk. Evan came to ask LionArk for help.
"This is about Porco City."
"I already know the situation," Ethan replied.
"Y-You already know?" Evan asked, surprised. Ethan cleared his throat quietly.
Even so, Ethan explained that LionArk still hadn't acted because they were still analyzing the guild affiliation map.
He was worried they might accidentally support a guild that was actually connected to LionArk's enemy guilds.
"There's a possibility… Scavenger or Silver Star is behind the conflict in Porco City."
"We've gathered information from both sides. Eagle War Guild and the Red Faction are supported by Silver Star," Evan explained.
Ethan narrowed his eyes. Between Scavenger and Silver Star, Silver Star was the most likely to do dirty work to create chaos in Porco.
If Porco fell to the Red Faction, Silver Star would have a foothold to attack Mavelard whenever they wanted.
LionArk couldn't stay silent. They had to act quickly.
"Are you sure?" Ethan asked, confirming.
"Avalon is our allied guild. We definitely wouldn't lie to you," Evan said.
"I understand."
Ethan nodded. Evan continued telling him many things about Porco, information that would be useful as a foundation for Ethan and LionArk to act moving forward.
The meeting lasted one hour. Ethan accepted their request and would follow up on the Porco City matter.
Evan and his people left the place, leaving Sherly still in Ethan's office.
"Sherly."
"Yes, Sir Ethan?" Sherly answered.
"Go meet Hans and tell him I need at least fifteen small teams of players above level 40."
Sherly nodded, clearly understanding what Ethan ordered her to do. Ethan nodded and allowed her to leave.
Now, he was alone in his office. He walked to his desk and looked at the notes Sherly had made. Sherly knew the contents of Ethan's conversation with the Alanor guild members.
"It's time for LionArk to start showing its power in the east."
