I Became The Tall, Rich And Handsome Villain In The Novel

Chapter 6

Chapter 6: Staying Here:

“Uncle, Aunt, I apologize for bothering you so late,” Chen Yan said, sitting on the sofa in the living room.

Su Yushun glared at him and said, “You’ve been back for a while, haven’t you?”

“Yes.” Chen Yan replied.

Su’s mother couldn’t hold back and asked, “Then why haven’t you come to see Jingyi?”

“Mom! Brother Chen Yan has been very busy!” Su Jingyi defended him.

Chen Yan had no way to explain this. Besides, if he guessed correctly, the two of them probably already knew about his relationship with Bai Miaomiao.

“Alright, since you’re here, spend some quality time with Jingyi.” Su’s mother started to say more, but Su Yushun interrupted her, “Will you be staying tonight?”

“Yes, I’m staying.” Chen Yan said softly while rubbing Su Jingyi’s head resting on his shoulder.

Su’s mother noticed this and finally showed a rare smile.

“Then stay on the second floor. Jingyi, show Chen Yan where he can sleep.”

Su Jingyi beamed: “Okay, Brother Chen Yan, let’s go up!”

Chen Yan stood up and nodded to the two elders.

Upstairs, in Su Jingyi’s room.

Chen Yan looked at the walls covered with photos, almost all of them from their childhood. He couldn’t help but say: “Jingyi, you kept all these photos?”

“Yes~” Su Jingyi rested her head on him. “There are many more. I put away the ones that couldn’t fit on the wall.”

Chen Yan felt a wave of emotion and fell silent for a moment.

“Brother Chen Yan…” Su Jingyi called softly.

“Yes.” Chen Yan replied, brushing her forehead with his chin.

“I know about the other woman. I know you didn’t come to see me because of her.” Su Jingyi paused, then looked up at him. “But I don’t blame you. As long as you still have me in your heart, it’s okay.”

Hearing her words, Chen Yan was stunned and then felt a surge of anger.

Chen Yan now wanted to kill that stupid author.

How could such a wonderful girl have such a tragic ending?

And that idiotic protagonist. He had his eyes on Su Jingyi, but this time, Chen Yan would make sure to deal with him! Even Jesus couldn’t save him.

“Silly girl.” Chen Yan embraced her tightly.

Feeling the familiar warmth from Chen Yan’s body, Su Jingyi slowly wrapped her arms around his waist and murmured: “Brother Chen Yan, I’m so glad you haven’t changed.”

At this moment, Su Jingyi felt like the happiest person in the world.

This eldest daughter of the Su family had never felt superior until Chen Yan entered her heart.

“Brother Chen Yan.”

“Yes?”

“Can you take me to meet that girl?” Su Jingyi asked softly.

Chen Yan paused. He knew exactly who she was referring to.

It could only be Bai Miaomiao.

Chen Yan shook his head.

Su Jingyi’s eyes flickered, and she fell silent.

“You can’t meet her. She’s already gone,” Chen Yan said calmly, and gently patted Su Jingyi’s back.

A dead person couldn’t be met, after all.

“Huh?”

Su Jingyi was taken aback, “Gone? Where did she go?”

Chen Yan smiled slightly, “She went far away and will never return.”

He didn’t tell the truth. It wasn’t that he didn’t trust Su Jingyi, but there was no need. Telling her would only cause her unnecessary worry.

Su Jingyi wasn’t as happy as he had expected, she just nodded gently.

They cuddled for a while longer.

“Jingyi, show me to my room?” Chen Yan asked.

“Um, Brother Chen Yan, you can sleep here.” Su Jingyi said, her face blushing with determination.

As an experienced man of the 21st century, Chen Yan knew exactly what she meant.

If it had been any other woman, he wouldn’t have hesitated. But not Su Jingyi. He couldn’t treat her like everyone else.

Chen Yan stroked her hair and asked seriously: “Jingyi, are you sure?”

“Yes~” Su Jingyi’s voice was soft, but her gaze was unwavering.

Looking into her eyes, Chen Yan couldn’t help but smile tenderly, “I understand.”

“Brother Chen Yan.”

“Yes?”

“Turn off the lights…”

“Alright.”

The next morning.

Chen Yan woke up slowly. Su Jingyi, curled up like a kitten, had a faint smile on her face as if she was having a sweet dream.

He carefully moved her delicate legs off him and quietly left the room.

Downstairs.

Su’s father and mother were already at the dining table, and a maid was busy working.

“You’re up?” Su Yushun put down his newspaper when he saw Chen Yan on the stairs.

Chen Yan nodded, “Good morning, Uncle and Aunt.”

“Go wash up and come have breakfast.” Su’s mother said with a smile.

Today, their attitude toward Chen Yan was much better than the day before.

At least they weren’t kicking him out…

“Good morning, Young Master Chen,” the maid greeted with a smile.

She had been with the Su family for over ten years and was familiar with Chen Yan.

“Good morning.” Chen Yan replied with a smile.
