I Became the Progenitor Vampire

Chapter 433: Enchanting Demon, Abyss Melee (9600 words)

"Quick, take these corrupted Jackal Wolfs back!! His Majesty requires more followers!!"

"You damned Abyss Worm, if you don't get out of the way, I will kick your head in!!"

"Those who believe in my god shall gain eternal life!!"

The 270th layer of the bottomless Abyss, the Gravel Plane.

The Naga, nestled in the giant gravel area, expanded wildly for ten continuous days after Lide's arrival, conquering the surrounding small tribes, corrupted Jackal Wolfs, evil lizardmen, bloodthirsty Kobolds, little devils, inferior demons, Eye Demons, and all other creatures.

The Abyss was chaotic and unstructured; war could break out at any time for no reason at all, and perhaps two tribes would engage in a fight to the death simply because they had overeaten after a hunt...

Under the influence of the will of the Abyss, except for a very few races, most were affected by the chaotic will.

The Naga were one of the few orderly evil lives within the Abyss; at least they could follow rules.

This was the reason why Lide favored the Naga. As for enslaving other races...

To take over the entire Plane, a large workforce is needed. The Kabar Naga Clan numbered barely over twenty thousand; it was impossible to conquer the whole Gravel Plane, let alone control one-tenth of its territory.

Enslaving other races became the only option.

To submit to the strong is a universal rule of Glory, which in the chaotic and unstructured Abyss was pushed to the extreme.

In the Abyss, High-level Demons have absolute rule over lower demons, and similarly, powerful tribes have dominion over weaker tribes.

Under Lide's will, the habitat of the Naga, renamed as the Giant Gravel Region, saw all weaker races within dozens of kilometers conquered by the Naga's large army.

After ten days of mad expansion, over 100,000 Abyss Life had been plundered into the city now renamed by Lide as Chaotic City. This was an exaggerating number.

"Your Majesty, our expansion has attracted the attention of the Abyss Half-orcs. Those ugly creatures have been frequently sending Corrosive Wolf Cavalries to scout around us in the past few days."

In the center of Chaotic City, within the most solid Naga structure, the 19th-level Naga leader, Oli Kabar, was respectfully reporting to Lide, who was examining a map at a stone table.

"Right now, 100,000 troops is the extreme we can control. If we continue to expand, it will be difficult to deter those chaotic and evil lives..."

The Naga only had twenty thousand people, including some juveniles; it was no small pressure to forcibly control a force several times greater than theirs.

If it wasn't for capturing these evil lives in stages, they couldn't have made so many submit to the Naga.

Upon hearing this, Lide removed his gaze from the crooked map in front of him. The Abyss hardly harbored any cultural talents; this map was produced with significant effort.

"Abyss Half-orcs? No need to pay them any mind. Have you clearly investigated the specifics of the Tempting Demons?"

"The exact number of the Tempting Demons is around 130,000. Since they employ a Ten Thousand People Army system, there are currently 13 legions, which were easy to investigate. Additionally, that recently Transcendent leader of the Tempting Demons has not left their domain in the past few days, making it impossible to gather more accurate data."

A cold light flashed in Lide's eyes.

One advantage of the Abyss is that defeated demons would submit to higher demons, so he planned to strike at the southern group of Tempting Demons first.

If he could take down this group of Tempting Demons, he could then roll over the Abyss Half-orcs in succession.

Taking them out one by one, connecting the dots, and finally dealing with the Double-Horned Demons at the central position.

As for the undead in the Rotten Land to the north of the Gravel Plane, he had no short-term interest in them, and if there was anything to handle, it would be left until the end.

Those sickening things were hard to profit from even when killed.

In fact, with Lide's current strength, conquering the Tempting Demons alone wouldn't be difficult.

But he chose not to confront these forces alone for deeper reasons: the Abyss held too many hidden dangers, going alone could magnify the peril infinitely, and no one could guarantee he wouldn't capsize in the gutter.

First, I must train the troops. The army under my control now surpasses 100,000, but in essence, they are still a mob with not the slightest sense of cooperation.

War is the best training ground. After several battles, I will be able to more clearly understand the routines of abyssal warfare and develop methods more suited to the style of the Abyssal Army.

The last point, of course, is that I am the God of Twilight, the ultimate big boss, how could it be possible that I need to roll up my sleeves and enter the fray every time? That would truly be beneath my dignity.

Moreover, when the territory expands in the future, could I possibly defend it all by myself? Naturally, I will need the armies of my subordinates to guard the territory. If I do not train these armies now, will I have to act as their nanny every day in the future?

"Prepare for war.

This time, I will personally lead the Naga to conquer the Tempting Demons!"

With just one sentence, Lide had the Naga chiefs excited.

The words may be simple, but they are too domineering; it seems as if with these words spoken, that powerful demon force is destined to be trampled underfoot.

It didn't take long after Lide's order was given before the war horn, made from demonic longhorns, sounded throughout Chaotic City.

The captive Evil Races at this moment were all gathered on the open ground in front of the city walls.

The reason they were concentrated here was, one, because Chaotic City couldn't fit 100,000 people, and on the other hand, it was because of the corpse of the Snake Clan God hanging above the city walls - a Five Circle Magic long body, shaped like an Eight-Armed Snake Demon.

The Divine are ultimately the most powerful beings; even after death, they still emit a chilling aura. The pressure caused by that Divine Power is like a mountain pressing on one's chest, making the people around struggle even to breathe.

No one can resist such sheer terror; there is only trembling, only fear, only submission.

This is also the fundamental reason why Lide didn't show up for more than ten days, but the Naga still controlled the situation.

If even Divine beings die at the hands of the master of this city, what right do they have to resist?

It is also because the body of the Snake Clan God is hanging above the city gate that the Naga become more devout every time they enter and exit in these days.

That is a genuine Divine being, and yet it is so publicly hung on the city gate! How shocking it is.

What quickens their heartbeats even more is that the great being who killed the Divine is in Naga City, no, in Chaotic City now.

Listen to this name, Chaotic City, how majestic; it was personally named by His Majesty!

"Abyss above, I just heard the command - our Great Majesty will personally lead us to conquer those lowly Tempting Demons!!"

"Hahaha, I knew this day would come! His Majesty's order to enslave the surrounding tribes must be in preparation for conquering the Gravel Plane!"

"His Majesty's Glory will surely spread across the abyss, and those damned heretics, if they don't submit, then wait to be annihilated by us..."

"The Kabar Naga are the rulers of the Gravel Plane! We will be the only High-level Life!"

Upon hearing the orders to conquer the Tempting Demons, the Naga were nearly driven to madness.

The ambitions of these Upper Races were activated by Lide just ten days before; now, hearing the command, they couldn't wait to charge at the Tempting Demons and conquer those Abyss Demons.

Ruling other races is the ambition of every Abyss Life - only through this can they showcase their power and noble Bloodline; the Naga are no exception.

Even the weaker Abyss Lives like the Cave Dwellers and fallen dwarves harbor such ambitions.

As the Naga were in heated discussions, the Evil God Races who were newly captured showed various expressions, some frightened and panicked, others lost and confused.

When they saw the corpse of the Divine hanging above the city walls, any will to resist was crushed.

The Divine are dead, what qualification do these weak Lives have to resist?

And what's more terrifying is that the legendary God of Twilight is actually within this city.

Upon contemplating this horrifying fact, they all unconsciously slowed their breathing, as if afraid of attracting the attention of the terrible being that killed the Divine.

In these days, the Evil Lives that had started following the Twilight Sect are now even more fanatical than the Naga.

They are filled with pride and self-respect; if any of the captives show any disrespect towards Lide, the most fiercely reactive are not the Naga but these new believers of the Twilight Sect.

As the heated discussions continued below, a terrifyingly dreadful presence emanated from within the Chaotic City, a divine power countless times more fearsome than the Divine Body upon the city walls.

All voices were as if strangled, and no one dared to utter another word, plunging the scene into a silence.

Oppression of the soul.

A moment later, over a hundred thousand people simultaneously looked up to the skies.

At that moment, one could see a towering figure radiating with gloomy light, standing across the sky as if from a shattered Star River.

Enveloped by the gloomy light, all anyone could vaguely make out was a pair of spread Demon Wings, but they couldn't see its face, figure, or even what it was wearing.

Bathed in that divine power, it was mysterious and powerful.

Divine beings need not be overly intimate with their believers; maintaining sufficient mystery and distance is key to enhancing faith.

The more mysterious, the more believers would fill in the blanks with their imagination, deepening their faith in their minds.

Lide was already well aware of this dynamic, and there was no need for him to perform any miracles or anything else to deepen his dignity.

The Divine Body of the Snake Clan God on the city walls was enough to make all evil races below tremble.

Slaying a divine being, such a terrifying achievement, was simply too exaggerated for these lives that hadn't even reached level 15.

"My believers, when Twilight shrouds the earth, everything shall turn to dust."

The ancient and blasphemous language boomed in the minds of the evil lives below like thunder, causing their souls to shudder in unison.

"From today onward, the Gravel Plane shall become the Twilight Sect's domain of dominance!

And you, believers of the Twilight Sect, my loyal servants, shall manage this land for me...

My believers will reign supreme above all, and you may enslave and trample those lowly heretic races and Abyss Demons!"

Lide's domineering words immediately excited the armies below.

They howled and hollered, as if they couldn't wait to slaughter their enemies on the battlefield and then chain up their captives like dogs to be kept for amusement.

"Kill those Abyss Worms!!"

"Yes, chop off their excrement-filled heads!"

"The Glory of our Sovereign shall be spread by us!"

"Long live the Twilight Sect!!"

The shouts of over a hundred thousand people made the atmosphere incredibly heated.

"Now, every ten thousand shall form a legion, each legion will be divided into ten thousand-man squads, and each squad will be led by 200 Nagas."

"Those who do not believe in the Twilight Sect shall form a separate Vanguard Legion, which will charge ahead during the war with the Enchanting Demons!"

Lide's voice, filled with endless dignity, resounded through the sky, for these Abyss Lives naturally deserved no kindness; such a thing did not exist on this land.

And his words, like a bucket of cold water poured onto boiling oil, elicited an even greater reaction.

Especially those who had just converted to the Twilight Sect, they felt as if they had found their sense of belonging and confidence, identifying non-believers around them more proactively than even the Nagas.

The recognized Abyss Races couldn't help but change their expressions and even incite a riot amidst the pushing and shoving commotion.

Chaotic and evil Demons have no rules to speak of, and stimulated, a few inferior demons and little Demons suddenly erupted, killing two Nagas and splashing fresh blood, plunging the scene into even greater Chaos.

With the scent of Death Aura in the air, the sanity of the Abyss Lives began to be consumed, and then they turned to slaughter the people around them.

Although the disturbance happened suddenly, it was after all the Naga's home turf, and it subsided in just a few minutes.

The cost of this disturbance was thousands more Demon corpses spread across the lower encampment.

Lide witnessed the scene without a hint of fluctuation in his expression, for chaos, disorder, and slaughter were the eternal main themes of the abyss.

The death of these evil lives mattered little; the loss of a thousand would not make a difference. As long as the war was won, they could immediately obtain more troops for reinforcement.

The rules of conduct from the Main Plane did not apply to this land.

Those powerful Demon Lords relied on the continual waging of wars, conquering lands to enslave more demons and thus strengthen themselves.

Many of the Planes in the abyss without any living creatures were mostly due to wars.

However, with the existence of the birthplaces at the bottom of the abyss, countless Abyss Worms hatched daily, growing into new demons, so no matter how fierce the wars in the abyss became, this land of evil never suffered a shortage of life.

And who let those evil races disbelieve in the Twilight Sect? That was simply seeking death.

This, indeed, was the correct way to approach the abyss; those who opposed it were to be killed.

Sure enough, after that scene just now, under the stimulation of fresh blood, those evil lives who still didn't believe in Lide one by one became nominal believers.

Regardless of the process, at least the outcome was quite good.

After the disturbance was quelled, the Naga leader immediately began arranging to divide the army; Lide had already prepared them for this strategy, so there was no chaos.

Quickly, under the stimulation of fresh blood and Lide's influence, twelve Ten Thousand People Armies were formed.

Two thousand Nagas were dispersed among the various army corps, acting as the backbone of the army and in command.

The wars of the abyss did not need much preparation; life here was the least valuable. The superiors did not take the armies below seriously, and even the chaotic evil lives did not take themselves seriously.

Conquest! Enslavement! Pillage! One after another, sinister words drove these evil races to gradually lose their minds.

Once the army corps were divided, Lide did not make any further arrangements and directly ordered them to march.

A group of howling and chaotic Abyss Life marched toward the direction of the Enchanting Demons with most of them not even wielding weapons.

But the demons' tusks and claws were the most suitable tools for reaping souls, scythes of the Death God.

Outside the giant rocky area where the Nagas dwelt,

more than a dozen Three-Bladed High, Five-Bladed Long, with fierce Tusks, Corrosive Wolf Cavalry stood with wide mouths atop a massive boulder, overlooking the distance. Their drool dripped onto the stone, fizzing with corrosion like high-concentration sulfuric acid, pitting dense craters onto the surface.

These terrifying Abyss Predators had on their backs Abyss Half-Orcs with extremely ugly faces, filled with a fierce and murderous air, whose ugly visages were even more off-putting than the Half-Beasts in Earth's film "The Lord of the Rings."

Upon seeing the gigantic Chaotic City Army emerge from the rocky region, these Corrosive Wolf Cavalry immediately bared their blackened teeth with murderous intent.

"Immediately return and report to the Lord; these damned Nagas have already enslaved the surrounding tribes, and they are heading toward the Enchanting Demons' territory..."

Abyssal wars never needed reasons; these Corrosive Wolf Cavalry didn't care why the Nagas were attacking the Enchanting Demons, they were only concerned about what benefits they could get in the war.

Such as, swallowing them whole at the last moment of the struggle!

Abyss Life, though chaotic and disorderly, did not mean lacking brains; they simply preferred a direct and rough approach...

The march of an army of over a hundred thousand was not a quiet affair, but the Nagas had already bloodily cleared the road to the Enchanting Demon, slaying all the demons that could have affected their march.

The territory of the Enchanting Demon was about 300 kilometers away from Chaotic City, and by the demons' marching speed, it would take two days to arrive.

These robust lives could even march continuously for more than ten days without sleep or rest, and if not for the lack of military discipline, solely relying on force to control these chaotic beings, the demons would absolutely be an excellent choice for soldiers.

Lide floated above in the sky, looking down upon the twelve Ten Thousand People Armies below.

Behind him was the body of the Snake Clan God, which he awkwardly had to bring along as he could not store it in the System Space, for he did not trust leaving it just like that in Chaotic City, especially after what had hung on the city walls...

Moreover, if things went as planned, this Divine Body would also be useful soon.

Since he had decided to take control of the Abyss Plane, he wouldn't be frugal with his investments; inevitably, he would have to nurture a few Transcendents to garrison, and the body of the Snake Clan God would be the best nourishment.

Although he wanted to keep most of the Divinity of this body for his breakthrough to Legendary, it didn't prevent him from using a small part of it to cultivate a few powerful subordinates.

The journey was always somewhat tedious, and it wasn't until Lide caught a three-headed Abyss bird beast to serve as his temporary mount that he managed to keep his emotions in check.

He had left Castro back in Green City when he came to explore the Divine relics, so now he had to make do with what was available.

As the Chaotic Army marched, not a single blade of grass was left living in their wake.

Any solitary evil life forms discovered were immediately conscripted into the Heresy Army, and those who dared resist were beheaded on the spot.

If they were willing to believe in the great Twilight Sect, they might have a chance to join the formal army.

By the next day, the numbers of the Chaotic Army had increased by a few thousand...

The news of the Naga attacking the Enchanting Demons couldn't be hidden due to the sheer size of the army, and it wasn't long before all the major powers became aware of it.

Among them, the Abyss Half-orcs and the Double-Horned Demons from the central region of the Gravel Plane had the strongest reactions.

But war was a common occurrence in the Abyss; nobody thought this war was any different from the ones before.

Still, feeling threatened by the massive army of over a hundred thousand, these two forces deployed quite a few spies to monitor the situation.

Lide couldn't be bothered to even look at this, letting the Naga drive these people away, while the well-hidden demons were ignored altogether.

They needn't be anxious, he would plow through them one by one.

Although the army did not stop, it wasn't until the twilight of the next day that they entered the territory of the Enchanting Demons.

Day and night in the Abyss did not depend on the sun and moon; the night sky was still lit, only dimmer than the day. If the brightness of day was 10, then the night would only be 5.

As the God of Twilight, Lide was naturally aware of the day's cycle of changes, and every time twilight came, he felt his strength increase by a certain extent, similar to how the Bloodline grew stronger in the night.

This moment, it belonged to him.

The territory of the Enchanting Demons was a vast expanse of low-lying scrubland where twisted, aberrant Abyss plants spread like the hair of the dead, sending chills down one's spine at a glance.

When twelve Chaotic Armies stepped onto the lands of the Enchanting Demons who had already been informed, they had formed a huge formation ready to clash head-on.

But due to the chaos and disorder, the formation appeared messy and, in Lide's eyes, looking from above in the sky, it seemed even worse than not forming any...

The Enchanting Demons were true Abyss Demons, often described in an exaggerated tone by wandering bards from the Main Plane.

The appearance of these middle-level Demons was filled with magic and horror; approximately two and a half blades tall and slender, but what caused one to break into a cold sweat was the fierce, sharp bone spurs that covered their bodies.

It was even more striking than a hedgehog.

Instead of a humanoid arm at the right, there was a crab-like pincer, the joints of which fit tightly together, capable of easily snapping steel.

The skin under the bone spurs of the Enchanting Demons was grayish-black like soil, and in combination with the spurs and pincer, it presented an intimidating appearance.

What chilled outsiders even more were—the eyes of the Enchanting Demons.

They boasted a pair of eyes even more seductive than those of the Enchanting Demons, and anyone who made eye contact with this demon would be subjected to a burst of energy equivalent to a Three Circle Spell—Abyss Seduction Skill. Those who failed the will check would be seduced by it, turning into lambs for the slaughter.

That's why they were called Enchanting Demons.

The initial level of an Enchanting Demon was 10, elite level at 14, and the highest level could break through 15, with a rare few Demon Lords surpassing the Transcendent level.

These were the most common middle-level demons in the Abyss.

However, despite being a middle-level demon, their combat effectiveness is not at all poor due to the environment of the Abyss.

"Damn mongrels! Let the mighty Naga send you to meet the Death God!"

"Under his highness's brilliance, these foolish demons shall be trampled beneath our feet!"

"I want to chop off the heads of these Enchanting Demons and dig out their damned Enchanting Demon Eyes!"

"Kill them!!"

The army, after relentlessly marching for two days and nights, was at its breaking point. Upon encountering the Enchanting Demons, they didn't even need encouragement; at that moment, their inherent brutality and bloodlust were fully unleashed.

Likewise, the army of Enchanting Demons, which had been waiting outside Thousand Blades for a long while, showed no signs of weakness, their eyes filled with the craziest intent to kill as they gazed at the Chaotic Army.

"Abyss Worms! Daring to provoke the great Enchanting Demons, you're seeking your own death!"

"It's been a long time since I've tasted Naga flesh, how nostalgic..."

"Let's go, kill these lowly lives. How could the noble Enchanting Demons be challenged by this Abyssal trash?!"

"Let me devour your brains, I'm hungry..."

When the two sides met, there weren't even any additional maneuvers; as the war horns sounded, the battle immediately escalated to a climax.

The Enchanting Demons didn't care why the Chaotic Army was attacking them. They only knew that at this moment they had to tear apart these lowly lives that dared to provoke them!!

Above the sky, Lide observed everything calmly. He did not join the fray but watched the Abyssal battle unfold from the standpoint of an observer.

He wanted to understand firsthand how a battle involving tens of thousands was conducted in the Abyss... He had always been somewhat ignorant of Abyssal warfare, but now he had a live sample before him.

The Chaotic Army roared forth, and the Enchanting Demon Army was unwilling to show weakness either. In mere breaths, the two sides collided.

The Heresy Army, who did not practice the faith of the Twilight Sect, were driven to the very forefront.

On the cruel and bloody battlefield, the Heresy Army served as the first wave of meat shields, with over 8000 heretical creatures colliding directly with the Enchanting Demons.

However, before the two sides even made contact, many of the evil beings who looked directly into the eyes of the Enchanting Demons suddenly stiffened and then turned to slaughter their own forces like madmen.

In an instant, over a thousand were controlled by the Enchanting Demons, creating huge disruptions in the surrounding formations.

Taking advantage of the situation, the Enchanting Demons advanced with their claws, sweeping like the scythes of the Death God, reaping souls. Each swipe meant more of the Chaotic Army fell.

Corrupted Jackal Wolfmen, Evil Lizardmen, bloodthirsty Kobolds—the Chaotic Army, aside from the Nagas, was mostly comprised of these three evil races, totaling over 80,000 beings.

These evil creatures had pitifully low resistance to the Enchanting Demon Eyes of the Enchanting Demons, and in an instant, a large number were wounded or killed.

Puchi, blood and limbs splattered in that moment, the pouring blood soaking the shallow, stunted grass of the Abyss.

The instantaneous skirmish turned white-hot at the moment of collision.

The aura of slaughter on the battlefield consumed the sanity of all engaged in the fight.

The Enchanting Demons were like killing machines, and those Enchanting Demon Eyes were particularly terrifying. Any being that met their gaze was struck as if by lightning, instantly losing the will to resist.

Looking down from the sky, the sheer number of over two hundred thousand army members entwined in combat was breathtaking.

Especially since these armies consisted of diverse races from the Abyss, the scene was like a bard's tale of infinite blood wars between Abyssal Demons and Hell Demons.

At this moment, Lide still did not intervene. He continued to watch everything as an observer.

Chaos was his overriding impression of this war.

After the battle started, the Nagas, who were originally in command, completely disregarded any strategy and drew their daggers to join the fray, and the other creatures also ignored commands and simply rushed towards the Enchanting Demons.

Even a portion of the minor demons and inferior demons, before they collided with the Enchanting Demons due to an overload of murderous intent, turned on their own ranks and killed without care for friend or foe.

This unprecedented chaotic warfare furrowed Lide's brows.

But he still did not intervene; he wanted to see just how an Abyssal army's battle would unfold.

After clashing, the troops below entered a bloodthirsty state, their eyes glowing red with killings, where no rules or tactics existed. The only objective was to behead the enemy, to pierce the enemy's heart.

A Four-Armed Naga with daggers fashioned from Demon Beast tusks danced through the crowd, and in just a few encounters, slew three or four Enchanting Demons.

After realizing this, a Level 14 Enchanting Demon crushed the skull of a nearby Corrupted Jackal Wolfman with its pincers and then turned towards the Naga who had drawn their attention.

The Enchanting Demon Eyes emitted a malevolent light, attempting to use its powerful Talent to restrain the Naga. However, the Naga was very experienced, tilting its head slightly to avoid direct eye contact with the Enchanting Demon.

The powerful serpentine tail, like a spring compressed to the extreme, began to unleash its ferocity, its form flashing forward like lightning.

Seeing this, the Enchanting Demon swung its iron cast-like giant claw ferociously, its gruesome face revealing a brutal killing intent.

It wanted to crush this Naga riffraff!!

But the constantly active Enchanting Demon Eye was actually the Enchanting Demon's greatest weapon. Without the coordination of the Enchanting Demon Eye, the fighting capabilities of these kinds of Abyss Demons can only be described as ordinary.

In a flash of lightning, as the two sides closed in, the Enchanting Demon's claw swung down in an arc, but the agile Naga contorted its body strangely, dodging the giant pincer's assault.

In that instant, four powerful arms erupted with the force to shatter boulders, and the sharp tusk Dagger, like a bolt of lightning, struck a continuous~ series of blows at the base of the Enchanting Demon's claw.

Under the massive impact, with a snap~ the Enchanting Demon's huge pincer actually broke off and crashed to the ground, with fresh blood splattering about.

Pain, like a tidal surge, overwhelmed the Enchanting Demon's reason, and with an agonized roar from its mouth, but in the next second, the Four-Armed Naga did not give the Demon any more chances.

Pffft~

The Dagger swung again, directly piercing through the neck of the Enchanting Demon, and thick blood spurted out, even causing a strong ripple of magic tide due to the huge Magic Power contained within its blood.

In this skirmish, the Naga prevailed completely.

As an Upper Race, the Naga's formidable combat power goes without saying, holding no small advantage when facing the Middle-level Demon—the Enchanting Demon.

Although the Naga were strong enough, the same could not be said for other races, such as the Corrupted Jackal Wolfman and the Evil Lizardman, who mainly relied on their sharp teeth and claws for attacks.

But when facing the Enchanting Demon's large pincers and those deadly Enchanting Demon Eyes, they were often controlled before they could leap forward, then easily had their heads crushed.

Each side had its trump cards, leading to an extraordinarily tense battle situation.

On the chaotic battlefield, there were no ceaseless commands, only the Naga coordinating to some extent among themselves. However, due to the extreme chaos, such levels of cooperation were also very limited in effect.

A battle of more than two hundred thousand was destined not to end in mere minutes. After half a day, the situation on the field remained tense, and it was impossible to tell whether the Enchanting Demons, who could control others, held the advantage or whether the impromptu Chaotic Army did.

Lide, observing the situation, had a good understanding of the battle status of the Abyss—it was even more chaotic than the tales told by wandering bards.

He saw with his own eyes a few Naga, after slaying an Enchanting Demon, casually turning to topple a few Corrupted Jackal Wolfman. He also witnessed the enslaved inferior demons who specialized in killing weaker Kobolds...

The life forms of the Main Plane would have a hard time understanding what's on the minds of these chaotic and evil beings.

"That Extraordinary Tempting Demon commandant is indeed very patient; it hasn't appeared for so long... but it's pointless to drag this out any longer. Everyone here will become my spoils of war... damaging one's own spoils is not a wise move."

He hesitated no further, floated upward, his eyes carrying a chilling murderous intent as he soared across the sky, directly floating over the battlefield.

The two sides below, in the heat of killing, did not notice Lide in the sky at all. When Demons are agitated, reason becomes nonexistent.

Master of the Divine, Immortal King, Master of Crimson, the descent of fear...

Lide wasted no time in activating all his titles and auras.

In that moment, the heavens and earth changed color, and the stars ceased their spin.

The armies below, engaged in fierce combat, were as if suddenly paused—their bloodlust that had surged to their heads was unceremoniously drenched with hundreds of buckets of ice water, chilling them from head to toe...

Terror, pure terror!

That terrifying presence swept every corner of the world.

This was the pressure of the Divine, the aura of the Divine System Master.

At this moment, Lide was like an ancient wild beast, which ended the era of gods, resurrecting once more, his eyes as fierce as the sun and moon, fixing their gaze upon them.

The remaining hundred thousand evil lives below trembled uncontrollably in both soul and body, an instinctive reaction of their biology, utterly unstoppable.

"Twilight falls, and all things shall turn to ashes...

I am the God of Twilight, holding the Twilight Divine Position, and likewise, I control the fate of you all."

The blasphemous language of ancient times now seemed like boulders crashing down from towering mountains, each word striking the souls of the crowd with a buzzing sound in their ears.

"The Gravel Plane shall become the dwelling place of my believers."

"Kill those who are not my followers!"

The final word "kill" landed with the weight of billions of tons.

It smashed into the minds, causing a thousand waves of shock.

The troops below had not yet recovered their wits when suddenly, from the ranks of the Enchanting Demons, a figure imbued with a mighty aura flew out.

A surge of extraordinary power fluctuated, startlingly, it was none other than the leader of the Extraordinary Tempting Demons.

However, just as Lide thought the opponent was about to resist, that Extraordinary Demon split open with a crackle, blood splattering as its body split like rubber into seven or eight parts, each piece transforming into an Enchanting Demon like the original and fleeing the battlefield without looking back.

That Extraordinary Demon had indeed been scared off by Lide, and it had used a move that was surely a life-saving trump card. It was evident that it would cause great damage to itself, and might even lead to a fall in level.

By the time Lide realized what the leader of the Enchanting Demons had done, those separate figures had already flown far away, and at most he could only pursue three or two of them.

Shaking his head, he could only give up.

Lide looked down at the still panicked and bewildered Enchanting Demons below and twitched the corner of his mouth. Is this the Abyss?

Betraying one's teammates so decisively?

It was only after the aura of the lord of the Enchanting Demons had completely disappeared that those below realized their boss had been scared to the point of pissing himself and had run away.

The anxiety that was already present in their hearts was instantly devoured by fear, and the will to resist collapsed in that moment.

The Enchanting Demons were not High-level Demons to begin with, and it was a myth to think they could stand against Divine Power.

Under the terrifying pressure as vast as a tempest, the number of Enchanting Demons, totaling some sixty to seventy thousand, each knelt and submitted to the towering figure in the sky.

In the moment of their kneeling, all demons inside sighed with great relief, as if they had just escaped the scythe of the Death God.

Seeing this, the surrounding Nagas and other believers were instantly filled with excitement.

Indeed, as long as one followed the great crown, victory was assured!

Praise the Abyss!

They shouted out one after another.

"The Glory of my God shall become eternal!!"

"Ha ha ha, how could these damned lowly demons withstand the Dignity of our God?"

"We've won!! Praise the crown, Your radiance is enough to make the Abyss pale in comparison!!"

"..."

Lide, looking at the excited crowd below, didn't feel much, as the war, though intense with conflict, was too chaotic of a battle, too Abyssal to watch.

But it was also the first step towards conquering the Gravel Plane.

His gaze shifted toward the distance, where over a dozen Corrosive Wolf Cavalry were observing the battlefield from afar.

A cold murderous light flashed in his eyes.

Abyss Half-orcs... Let's flatten them today as well. He didn't have that much time to waste here.

He must take over the entire Gravel Plane at the fastest speed and then capture the teleportation gate owned by the Black Scale Nagas to return to the Main Plane.

Whether it be dispatching the Dawn City troops into the Abyss for a pig-farming plan or plundering the rare minerals of the Abyss, both were excellent choices.
