I Became the Mother of His Child

Chapter 242: I Want to Sleep With You

"Mmm, Mama loves you too," Xu Xiuxiu smiled as she watched Song Chengguang make a heart sign. This was something she had whimsically done to Song Yuanhuan as he was leaving for work one day. At that time, even Song Yuanhuan's dark, cool face had turned embarrassingly red, and after Song Chengguang saw it, the little guy actually imitated it. And now, watching her own son adorably making the heart sign, Xu Xiuxiu felt her heart instantly melt into a puddle, incredibly soft.

"Chengguang, come down," Song Yuanhuan, with a face full of dark lines, dragged his eldest son out of his wife's embrace, the domineering tone of his voice filled with jealousy.

Xu Xiuxiu was incredibly busy now, wishing she could split herself in two. Whenever she had a little bit of free time and returned home, the first thing she did was ask about the three kids' statuses, like how many times the boy and girl twins had been fed milk, woken up, or had a wet diaper, and what Song Chengguang had eaten, how much, and so on. Only after personally checking on the three kids' activities would Xu Xiuxiu spare some thought to care for her man.

Yet, every time she cared about him halfway, Xu Xiuxiu was already too exhausted to continue, and there were even several instances where his hopeful spousal harmony was shattered. Today was rare in that she came home early, and the first thought in his head was to live a harmonious life with his wife. So naturally, he couldn't stand to see his son monopolizing her. This bratty child had even learned to make the exclusive heart sign he had reserved for his wife. How could he not know that this little scamp was so capable!

"I won't," Song Chengguang resisted, wrapping his arms tightly around Xu Xiuxiu's neck, and growled irritably.

"Get down," Song Yuanhuan gritted his teeth and glared, beginning to use force.

"I don't want to, I want to hug Mama," Song Chengguang, also quite stubborn, expressed his rare moment with Xu Xiuxiu, insisting on seriously protecting his privilege. He hadn't hugged Mama for such a long time.

You want to hug Mama, your dad here wants to hug his wife too! Song Yuanhuan was choked with frustration, reaching out and resolved to grab Song Chengguang down without concern.

"Alright, stop it. Chengguang, be good, go wash your hands first, and when you're done, Mama will play with you with the play dough and do a jigsaw puzzle, okay?" Xu Xiuxiu softly coaxed, then shaking her head gently at the formidable Song Yuanhuan, she carried Song Chengguang into the bathroom while asking him.

"Okay." Song Chengguang, nestled in Xu Xiuxiu's arms, immediately smiled contentedly.

Song Yuanhuan was left swaying alone in the living room. After cursing 'damn kid,' he resolutely decided to pick up his daughter instead—after all, daughters are like little cotton-padded jackets.

Perhaps because Xu Xiuxiu had truly been quite busy recently, Song Chengguang usually shook the rattle for the boy and girl twins before bedtime, but today, he clung persistently to Xu Xiuxiu's side. Even after taking a bath, he returned to his room, hugged his little pillow, and came to the master bedroom.

"Mama, I want to sleep with you." The boy and girl twins were now carefully looked after by Aunt Luo at night, and Song Chengguang might have also realized he wasn't playing a key role in putting the boy and girl twins to sleep. Plus, having not slept with Xu Xiuxiu for so long, he was particularly excited by his whim today.

"Sure!" Xu Xiuxiu agreed without hesitation.

"No," Song Yuanhuan, standing behind Song Chengguang, once again had his face covered in dark lines.

Xu Xiuxiu and Song Yuanhuan's responses—one agreeing, the other refusing—almost came out at the same time. Song Chengguang, holding the pillow at the entrance of the master bedroom, immediately pouted, feeling wounded. Song Yuanhuan, who had just returned from his bath, even wrung the towel into a bunch fiercely.

"Song Chengguang, you're a boy, you're the big brother now, you can't always depend on Mama. Go back to your room and sleep," Song Yuanhuan bent down and lifted Song Chengguang, sternly lectured as he turned around and without hesitation brought Song Chengguang back to his own bedroom.

What a joke. A man who so keenly desired a happy and harmonious life with his wife that it pained his own heart was adamant that not even thunderstorms, earthquakes, or rain tonight could stop him from being with Xu Xiuxiu in every way imaginable—absolutely not.

"Dad, Cheng Guang isn't a real man," protested Song Chengguang, struggling.

"Behave yourself." Song Yuanhuan ignored Song Chengguang's protest, rolled him up, and dumped the little guy into his own bedroom. "Not a real man, do you think you're a woman then? Let me tell you, get to sleep right now, or I'll beat you." Song Yuanhuan's tone was completely threatening, miles apart from a negotiation.

"I want to sleep with Mom, I'm not a woman," Song Chengguang complained sorrowfully and with a sense of injustice.

"No," said Song Yuanhuan with a stern face.

"Dad, you can sleep with mom every day, Cheng Guang just wants to sleep with mom once, why not?" Song Chengguang was tossed onto the bed by Song Yuanhuan. The little guy didn't even grab his pillow and stood up boldly with his little hands on his hips.

"Your mother is my wife, and it's only right for me to sleep with her," Song Yuanhuan boasted, raising his eyebrows in rebuttal.

"She is my mother," Song Chengguang felt he should defend his rights.

"That's right," Song Yuanhuan nodded in agreement, "She is your mother, and a mother can't sleep with you. Only a wife can. Besides, see how your brother and sister are both sleeping by themselves? So, Song Chengguang, if you're a real man, don't make trouble for your dad. Lie down and sleep properly." Song Yuanhuan grabbed the little guy's pajamas, then forcefully stuffed Song Chengguang into the quilt.

"Dad, you're stealing my mom!" Song Chengguang struggled but couldn't move.

"You're trying to steal my wife!" Song Yuanhuan accused while stopping him with a low roar.

"..." Song Chengguang was at a loss for words, and then tears slowly gathered in his large eyes, the spitting image of Xu Xiuxiu's, as they blinked up at Song Yuanhuan.

"Go to sleep," Song Yuanhuan said, seeing it and fuming with a low roar, completely unmoved.

Song Chengguang was immediately scared by Song Yuanhuan and, feeling wronged, he crumpled a bit and then puckered his lips, nodding in defeated consent to close his eyes and sleep. It was probably because he was still feeling defiant in his heart that Song Chengguang tossed and turned for half an hour before he couldn't resist the drowsiness any longer and fell asleep, his little face still wet with tear stains.

Boys need to be raised tough, after all, he's not a girl who cries, Song Yuanhuan thought. Once he was sure that Song Chengguang was asleep, he suddenly livened up like he had injected chicken blood and returned to the master bedroom, feeling somewhat weary inside.

However, when Song Yuanhuan walked into the bedroom and saw Xu Xiuxiu holding the boy and girl twins, lying on the bed, propping her head with her right hand as she watched the twins sleeping soundly, the corners of his mouth couldn't help but curve up into a tender smile. Song Yuanhuan felt as though he had been brutally shot by his own wife.

Bang, bang, bang! Suffering three successive shots, Song Yuanhuan felt frustrated at the thought of being intimate with his wife but having to overcome numerous obstacles to do so. Helplessly clutching his chest, he took a deep breath and stepped forward, and without a word, he directly picked up Little Moon and silently returned him to the nursery.
