I Became the Mother of His Child

Chapter 190: Headache Subscriptions Ah 1

"Wang Qinghua, get out, get out of my house right now. From now on, our Song family will act as if you never existed." Song Yuantao raised his hand and fiercely slapped Wang Qinghua. Then he grabbed the large floral jacket she was wearing and started dragging her outside, his body emanating a terrifying rage.

"Yuantao, let go and listen to me, please. Yuanyao is talking nonsense! Cheng Guang's New Year's money was actually picked up and hidden by herself. Really, you have to believe me. She was caught by me, and now she's biting back out of anger. I'm innocent!" Wang Qinghua was being dragged outside as she moved, shirking responsibility and slandering Song Yuanyao, trying to throw all the blame onto her.

"You're talking nonsense." Song Yuanyao, leading Song Tianxin, followed on the side. Hearing Wang Qinghua's accusatory words, she trembled all over with anger as she retorted, though her retort lacked force.

"Wang Qinghua, you heartless woman, how could you bear to harm your own daughter! And you even teach her to steal and do such despicable acts? Niuniu is just a little girl! You don't spare your own daughter, and now you dare to falsely accuse mine. Get out, just get out; our Song family's house isn't big enough for your grand stature." Mrs. Song, seeing the injuries on Song Tianxin, had tears welling in her eyes. As the grandmother, even though Tianxin is her granddaughter, she is ultimately the first grandchild of the Song family. Song Chengguang was not usually at home, so she indeed doted on Song Tianxin quite a bit. To think that under her own watch, her granddaughter could be bullied into silence infuriated her so much that she actively joined in pushing Wang Qinghua.

This calamity, she shouldn't have been soft-hearted because of Niuniu's complaints.

"Mom, I didn't, don't listen to Yuanyao's nonsense. How could I possibly teach my daughter to steal!" Wang Qinghua, being dragged by Song Yuantao and shoved by Mrs. Song, staggered outward. Despite her awkwardness, she knew she couldn't lose her temper. Facing the united Song family, if she dared to retaliate against Mrs. Song, she'd be doomed.

However, being passively pushed out of the main hall by Mrs. Song, and seeing she was about to be ruthlessly pushed out of the house, Wang Qinghua lost her calm. She, who had originally resolved to be calm, now viciously clung to her innocent plea.

"You couldn't possibly teach your daughter to steal? Your conscience must have been eaten by a dog, how could you not!" Mrs. Song furiously retorted, devoid of any belief in Wang Qinghua's defense. Here was someone who wouldn't fear being struck by lightning for lying; how could Mrs. Song be swayed by her?

"Mom, really, it really isn't my fault! How can the Song family wrong me like this? And to drive me out during the New Year, do you want me to die? Fine, if that's the case, even if I die, I'll die here at the Song family's house, and you won't have any good days ahead." Wang Qinghua was ruthless indeed, declaring death without a stutter. Breaking free from Song Yuantao's restraint, she turned around and, mimicking the ancient practice of hitting the wall to prove her innocence, charged at the wall.

Just as the Song family was too stunned to react, Wang Qinghua had already slammed into the wall with a loud bang, then her body fell rigidly to the ground.

Now what?

The Song family looked at Wang Qinghua, who had fainted on the ground, exchanging dumbfounded glances.

Song Yuanhuan, holding Song Chengguang, had searched around the house, even the small vegetable garden behind the kitchen wasn't spared. He was already planning to prepare another set of New Year's money for his son. Returning to the room, he heard the noise from the main hall and walked over with a furrowed brow, holding Song Chengguang. But just as he stepped into the hall and caught sight of Wang Qinghua hitting the wall, he didn't even have time to shield Cheng Guang's eyes.

"Wow!" Song Chengguang, the little fellow, instinctively opened his small mouth, his eyes widened in shock at the scene of Wang Qinghua's suicide attempt. "Daddy, what is elder aunt doing? Is she playing a game?" Song Chengguang asked, puzzled.

"The little ones shouldn't ask." Song Yuanhuan raised his hand and covered his son's head with his large palm, forcibly bumping the boy's head against his shoulder before he stepped forward.

"What's going on?" Song Yuanhuan asked as he looked at Wang Qinghua lying on the ground, then at the confused expressions of the Song Family members.

Clearly, everyone in the Song Family was surprised that Wang Qinghua had impulsively run into the wall; however, after their initial shock, no one took the initiative to calm down and handle the situation.

"Did she just kill herself by running into the wall?" Mrs. Song asked, her face creased with panic.

If that were true, the Song Family would be in big trouble.

"Such a sin!" Mr. Song, clenching his pipe, watched his eldest daughter-in-law lying on the ground and sighed leisurely. Always easygoing and leaving his spouse to handle family matters, he realized one shouldn't entirely allow a woman to manage household affairs.

"She's not dead." Song Yuanhuan replied very confidently to Mrs. Song, soothing her panicked heart with his words. Just as he had walked out, he had clearly seen Wang Qinghua running into the wall. The force wasn't strong, and it was her body that hit the wall first before her head lightly knocked against it. Obviously, she wasn't determined enough to headbutt the wall directly; hence, the light knock wasn't enough to be fatal—didn't you see that her forehead was merely bruised without any blood?

As a special forces soldier, Song Yuanhuan had his own ways of assessing a person's death, which is why he dared to speak out.

"Big brother, you go ahead and carry elder sister-in-law inside; she's knocked herself out. If she lies on the cold ground too long, it could cause complications. Yuanying, go call Old Song to check on elder sister-in-law. If it's serious, rush her to the hospital." Although Song Yuanhuan was confident in his judgment, he wasn't a doctor, so it was better to handle it safely.

"Okay!" Song Yuantao and Song Yuanming responded at the same time—one bent down to carry the person indoors, while the other turned to run outside.

As the events evolved, everyone couldn't help but lament. Knowing about the money issue with Song Chen, Song Yuanhuan shook his head, intending to let this incident slide. The money wasn't a significant amount after all, and it was only Wang Qinghua's actions that were truly embarrassing.

Wang Qinghua running into the wall also significantly impacted the typically honest and straightforward Song Family. At the moment, they were all somewhat bewildered and had no mind to fuss too much. Let it be, let it be!

Just as they intended to let the incident go without further inquiry, Old Song, called by Song Yuanming to check on Wang Qinghua, dropped another bombshell revealing that Wang Qinghua was already two months pregnant. Song Yuantao only had Niuniu, a daughter, and now learning that Wang Qinghua was carrying another, naturally, he was delighted. Hence, even if Wang Qinghua had done something grave today, relying on the unborn child, the Song family members were likely unable to take any severe action against her.
