I Became a Little Vampire Princess After Being Infected by a Game Virus

Chapter 59: Let Me Take Another Look!

Chapter 59: Let Me Take Another Look!

In the following days, Yake and Yin practiced against each other every single day. Aierjisi sat nearby, bored, watching the two of them train.

I have to say, the ability “Eye of the Observer” turned out to be incredibly useful. In just a few days, Yake transformed from a sword-wielding newbie to a skilled swordsman capable of facing Yin head-on. There were even times when Yin found herself at a disadvantage against Yake’s swordsmanship!

“I knew it! The one with the Eye of the Observer learns quickly. I didn’t expect you’d pick up so many of my techniques so fast.”

Yin retracted her wooden sword, having nothing else to teach Yake. Continuing their practice would be pointless at this point.

“Thank you, Miss Yin, for your guidance. I’ve learned so much about swordsmanship from you.”

Yake also retrieved his wooden sword, feeling proud that he had reached near the same skill level as her. If he faced Aier now, he was confident he could last much longer.

“No need to thank me; if anyone should be thanked, it’s your Eye of the Observer. Learning all my techniques isn’t this easy without it.”

“That’s true, but if Miss Yin hadn’t fought with me, I wouldn’t have been able to learn all your techniques.”

Considering that Yin was willing to fight him despite knowing he had the Eye of the Observer and shared all her techniques, Yake felt he really should thank her properly.

“You two finished practicing for today? That was quick! Just yesterday, you two were training even until the sun set. Or did you, Yake, master all the techniques and graduate already?”

Seeing them stop swinging their swords, Aierjisi wondered if Yake had indeed graduated.

“Yes, Aier. I’ve successfully learned all of Miss Yin’s sword techniques. Want to see how I’ve improved?”

“Oh? Really? Then let me see how well you’ve trained!”

Aierjisi instantly brandished her signature weapon, ready to engage Yake in a spar to see what he had learned.

“Sure, but just to be clear, I might actually win this time! I’m not the same as I was a few days ago.”

Yake pulled out his sword and gripped it firmly, a confident smile on his face.

“That’s the spirit! Come at me with all your strength!”

Seeing Yake so confident made Aierjisi happy. After all, if her servant’s combat abilities increased, it would indirectly raise her own combat prowess too!

“Please wait, the City Lord’s Mansion doesn’t allow fighting outside!”

Just as they were about to clash, Yin stepped in between them to stop the impending duel.

“How about we find a suitable place to continue our sparring?”

“Sounds good! Let’s find a good spot. Miss Yin, do you have any recommendations?”

“Of course, please follow me.”

Yin turned and took them inside the City Lord’s Mansion. Aierjisi and Yake hurried after her.

“This is it! The City Lord’s Mansion has a specially designated training area for combat.”

Yin pushed open a large door, revealing a vast and astonishing space inside.

“Wait, wait! There’s such a spacious area inside the City Lord’s Mansion? How come I never knew about this?”

“This room has been magically enhanced to expand its space. If you two want to train, this is the perfect place. By the way, if you’re not satisfied, we can change the environment to something else, like this…”

As Yin activated a device on the door, the room transformed into a snow-capped mountain peak battered by a storm.

“Whoa! Isn’t that technology from a photo studio? No, this seems even fancier than what they have.”

Seeing this technology reminded Aierjisi of the time she and Yake had seen something similar at the photo studio. But that simply recreated the scenery, while this seemed to project the very essence of the environment.

For instance, now they found themselves on a windy, snowy mountain top, and Aierjisi could feel just how freezing cold it actually was.

“Yes, this training is meant to develop soldiers who can fight in any environment. It doesn’t just recreate the visuals; the environmental conditions are replicated as well.”

Yin explained to the Little Princess why this technology was developed.

“I see. But about the snow, let’s not. Yake and I aren’t wearing any winter gear. Can we change to a warmer place?”

“Got it, let me adjust it.”

Yin manipulated the device again, transforming the indoor environment from a frigid, snowy mountaintop to a sunny, grassy meadow.

“Oh! This scene is perfect! Sunny! Plus, during our training here, any destruction will simply be recreated by the device, so it won’t cause real damage.”

“Then shall we fight in this scene?”

“I think it’s good. What do you think, Yake?”

“I have no objections, and this environment is quite favorable for me.”

“Oh? Are you sure? This is a big open meadow, without any cover. You won’t be able to hide behind anything to dodge my attacks.”

“I should be saying that to you. The absence of cover applies to you just the same.”

“Are you serious? Don’t forget I’m a Mage. Ranged attacks are what I do! You’re just an ordinary adventurer who recently learned swordsmanship. Fighting in such an open space isn’t in your favor.”

Seeing Yake’s confidence, Aierjisi felt compelled to remind him not to forget his own role. Fighting a Mage would only end in disaster for him if he couldn’t close the distance.

“Don’t worry; I’ve already thought about how to deal with a Mage. After all, the guy we fought earlier was also a Mage, right?”

During the sword practice with Yin, Yake had considered how to handle magic users. Now he had a general plan for facing them.

“Really? I’d like to see how you plan to handle a Mage like me. If you disappoint me, you won’t be forgiven.”

“Then do take it easy on me when the time comes!”

Before the battle even commenced, Yake was already asking Aierjisi to go easy on him when it came to punishment.
