I Became a Little Vampire Princess After Being Infected by a Game Virus

Chapter 55: Yake’s Hidden Tricks

Chapter 55: Yake’s Hidden Tricks

The next battle unfolded exactly as the Little Princess had predicted. With Yake’s reaction speed, the woman dodged his attack before he could even counter.

“This is hopeless; the gap in strength between Yake and that woman is larger than I imagined.”

Aierjisi had completely lost hope that Yake could win. That woman was definitely from a martial arts family that had trained her since childhood. Her techniques were ingrained in her being. On the other hand, Yake, a half-hearted Adventurer, was no match for her. The vast disparity between them had already decided the outcome of this fight.

However, Aierjisi was unaware that Yake, who was struggling down below, had not given up.

“Mmm, dodged again. This woman is just too fast. If this keeps up, it’s only a matter of time before I lose.”

Wielding his sword, Yake could tell he had missed once again. To make matters worse, he was struck by the woman’s spear, earning himself another wound.

Am I really someone so weak? Am I just supposed to be played with by this woman? No, I can’t be this useless! I need to stand alongside Aier to fight those Ultimate Life Forms! If I don’t improve, I’ll just be a burden. I have to think of something to turn this situation around.

“No Thought Shadow Kill, that technique senses the enemy’s movements, finds their openings, and allows the body to instinctively counterattack.”

Yake recalled Aierjisi mentioning this technique from the audience. If he could pull this off, it might just be the game changer he needed.

But according to Aierjisi, only a handful of people had mastered this move; and as someone who had never trained in it, could he really pull it off?

Swish!

Just as Yake was pondering this, the woman’s spear struck him again, causing yet another fresh wound.

Forget it; I’ll just give it a shot! If I keep waiting, the only outcome will be me going down.

The pain jolted Yake into action; he couldn’t afford to waste another moment. He had to gamble everything on this one move.

“Huh? What’s Yake doing?”

Seeing Yake close his eyes and relax his defensive stance, the Little Princess was filled with questions. What on earth was he planning?

“I can feel the breath of the wind, the taste of the earth, the warmth of the sun, and the movements of that woman. I can sense it all.”

Yake concentrated hard, trying to attune his body to the world around him and to the woman’s advancing steps.

Now!

“Ha!”

Yake shouted as he thrust his sword behind him with all his might.

“Ugh!”

He hit her!

Based on the sensation he felt and the soft grunt from behind, Yake was certain he struck true.

“No Thought Shadow Kill! Yes, that was definitely No Thought Shadow Kill! But why? How could Yake use this move?”

Aierjisi was stunned at Yake’s execution of No Thought Shadow Kill. How could she not know he could do that? Did he just learn it? No, mastering No Thought Shadow Kill wasn’t easy! He’d only seen it a few times; how could he possibly pull it off this quickly?

“Alright, this technique really works!”

Seeing his counterattack wound the woman, Yake felt a rare thrill. If he could just rely on this move, he had a fighting chance to turn the tide!

“Ugh…”

The woman clutched her recently injured waist; luckily, she had reacted swiftly and bent her body, barely avoiding the brunt of the damage. She’d only received a minor wound.

Had she not dodged, Yake’s sword would have likely pierced through her waist without mercy.

But what shocked the woman more than her injury was the technique Yake had just employed. It was undoubtedly No Thought Shadow Kill. Who was this person? Why had she struggled for so long to master it only for him to pick it up so easily?

“How about that, miss? The battle isn’t over yet! Don’t underestimate me!”

Having successfully learned No Thought Shadow Kill, Yake was feeling a bit cocky. He thought that with this technique, the woman would be powerless against him.

“I admit, I may have underestimated you earlier, but now it’s different. You’re the only one, besides my brother, capable of forcing me to go all out. You should take pride in that.”

The woman’s expression turned menacing. At the same time, an overwhelming killing intent radiated from her, unprecedented compared to before.

“Oh no, this is really bad now. Why did Yake have to provoke that woman? Now she’s really going to unleash her full power!”

Aierjisi held her head in exasperation. Yake, why did you have to stir the pot?

“Oh… It seems I might be in big trouble now.”

Yake wasn’t foolish; he could feel the ominous aura emanating from the woman and understood that his time was running out.

“Lotus Strike!”

The woman shouted her technique’s name and unleashed a decisive thrust that sent Yake flying through the air.

“Ahhh!!!”

As Yake was launched into the air, he panicked. If he fell to the ground like this, he would definitely die!

“What are you shouting about? I’m right here to catch you!”

Aierjisi wouldn’t just stand by and watch Yake plummet. She jumped from the audience and miraculously caught him in a princess carry, landing gracefully in the Gladiatorial Arena.

“Ah… Sorry, I thought you wouldn’t come to catch me.”

“Do I look like the kind of person who would abandon my servant? Besides, don’t forget we’re bound by a contract. If you die, I die too.”

Hearing Yake say that, Aierjisi shot back annoyingly.

“True that. My bad; I still ended up losing.”

“It’s fine. I don’t blame you. That woman is quite strong, especially since she was hiding her true strength at first. Losing like this is nothing unusual. In fact, if you had managed to win under these circumstances, I’d probably be shocked and wonder if I was dreaming.”

Aierjisi laughed as she set Yake down from her embrace.
