Chapter 30-1
“I, how could I…”
Camille couldn’t readily accept Otto’s proposal.
“You’re also the son of my father. Our father thinks of you like his own son. So if we burn incense together, he’ll be pleased.”
“But…”
“Do you dislike it? If you do, just say so.”
“….”
“I just thought that our father would be pleased if we burn incense together.”
“I will do it.”
Camille accepted Otto’s proposal.
“Prepare yourself for the memorial ceremony in three days.”
“I will comply with your order.”
Three days later.
In the Kingdom of Iota, a memorial ceremony for Lord Oryx and his wife was held.
Otto held the censer with Camille and burned incense inside.
It meant that Camille, who had been a commoner and a Knight, was now officially recognized as a member of the Scuderia family.
‘Father, Otto has succeeded in his revenge. Also, he has changed a lot. He’s showing the potential to be a great lord by reforming himself. Please rest in peace…’
Camille found peace of mind while praying for the late Lord Oryx.
After the memorial ceremony ended.
“Knight Camille.”
“Yes, I’m here.”
Camille knelt down at Otto’s call.
“I grant you a last name.”
“Yes…?”
“Starting today, Camille, you are officially recognized as a member of the Scuderia family and are permitted to use Scuderia surname from now on.”
“….!”
“Now you are truly my brother. Camille de Scuderia.”
“Your Majesty…!”
“But remember, you are still my subordinate, so don’t get carried away.”
“I…understand.”
As he said that, a notification window appeared in front of Otto.
[Notification: The favorability status of Camille de Scuderia towards you has changed to ‘Absolute Loyalty’!]
Now Camille no longer harbored hostility or distrust towards Otto.
Although he may sometimes feel pitiful, he was ready to sacrifice his own life for Otto.

After the end of the memorial service, Otto held a banquet to treat the palace staff who had suffered during the past events.
In truth, the people who suffered the most during this time were not Otto, but the royal family.
The maids and servants had suffered greatly due to the wickedness of Angela. And it was necessary to hold a banquet even in a comforting dimension.
The next day, Olive, the head maid, went to wake Otto up and was surprised to see him already up early in the morning.
Otto had a habit of sleeping in and only waking up at lunchtime if he wasn’t woken up.
“Are you already up? And you even neatly folded the sheets?”
“If you want to change the world, you have to wake up early and start by folding the sheets.”
“That’s a good attitude. But where are you going?”
“I’m going to participate in morning exercise. Now that the curse has been lifted, I want to start exercising too.”
“Oh?”
“I’ll be back soon.”
As soon as Otto changed into his gym clothes, he headed to the gymnasium. Every morning, under the supervision of Instructor Spooner, physical training was held in the gymnasium, and Otto was there to participate.
“I need to improve my physical condition first.”
Although the ‘Wrenched B**tard’ curse was lifted and he reached level 30, it didn’t mean his health had improved.
He had lost so much weight that he was severely underweight, and it was hard to find any muscles on him.
With a body like that, it goes without saying that his muscular strength and cardiovascular endurance were in terrible shape.
‘With my current physical condition, I probably wouldn’t survive inside the ‘Sanctuary’ even if I opened it.’
Opening the ‘Sanctuary’ was not the only thing. To obtain the ancient powers within, he had to reach at least level 70.
So for the time being, it was more important to focus on leveling up and training his body than anything else.
Of course, he had some fears.
‘Can I keep up with this?’
Although Otto had served in the military, his physical fitness was not particularly strong.
Furthermore, due to his non-combat unit duties, physical training was not a major focus during his military service.
Even after being discharged, he had never been to a gym, so it was natural for him to worry.
‘Well, I don’t know. I might die anyway If I don’t.’
Otto headed towards the gym with determination.
To survive in this world, he had to become stronger…
