I Ascend to the Divine Throne through Arcane Means

Chapter 738: Divine Position Fragment [Hunting]_2

Very soon, Lis no longer hesitated.

That was the small world owned by the believers of the God of Hunting, known as the Lune Small World.

Lis did not forget the life-and-death crisis brought to him by the Divine Son of the God of Hunting, Luun.

Even if his strength does not yet match Luun's, with an opportunity like this, he's keen on delivering a fierce strike to his foe.

In fact, the small worlds controlled by the Church of the Gods and Evil God believers, regarded as headquarters, would have quite strong defensive powers even without special precautions.

Enter alone, and even if Lis could bring damage, it's likely to be ineffective or insignificant disturbance.

But the Lune Small World was different.

Though an important area for the Evil God believers of the God of Hunting, it remained so mainly because of the Divine Son, Luun.

Before his appearance, it was just an ordinary small world, used by the God of Hunting believers to harvest resources.

Therefore, even though Luun has managed it for a long time as his base, the foundation is still lacking.

Lying in wait, Lis could severely damage this small world.

Moreover, Lis remembered from his past life how the conflict between the Church of the Gods and Evil God believers centered significantly around the Lune Small World.

Because when the Church of the Gods and players invaded this small world, they surprisingly discovered an extremely precious treasure at its center.

Divine Position Fragment [Hunting]!

A divine position is the source of powerful might owned by deities, it's the most crucial core for Gods.

Different divine positions correspond to different powers and mark an important distinction between strong and weak deities.

That a divine position fragment existed in the Lune Small World was truly astonishing.

Unlike divine status and divine power, without special preservation, a divine position fragment would gradually dissipate over time, eventually returning to the Gaia World's origin.

It could be said that the vast majority of divine position fragments are possessions of the divine.

The appearance of a divine position fragment generally follows two possibilities.

The first is when deities forcibly strip it from opposing gods.

The second is when deities choose to separate it from their divine domain, granting it to a subordinate god or demigod.

Though Lis knew well, this divine position fragment [Hunting] in the Lune Small World was not separated by the God of Hunting Mara.

This entity wasn't that generous.

This divine position fragment [Hunting] should have been a spoils obtained in a previous struggle between the God of Hunting and another deity.

He granted this divine position fragment to the Divine Son Luun, clearly intending no further explanation.

However, clearly, Luun, although he has embarked on the path to divinity, has yet to reach the point of holding a divination ceremony to use this divine status.

Thus, Luun stored this divine position fragment temporarily in the Lune Small World to gather faith for future divination ceremonies.

When the Church of the Gods and players entered the Lune Small World, they discovered this divine position fragment [Hunting], but by then, the conflict between the Church of the Gods and the Evil God believers was already underway.

Luun had made preparations, successfully transferring the divine position fragment with the help of the God of Hunting Mara.

And now, Lis has arrived prematurely in the Lune Small World.

The conflict has yet to erupt; Luun may not anticipate someone intruding into his small world this early.

If he could seize this divine position fragment, it would deal a heavy blow to Luun.

Want to become a god?

It's not that simple!

Lis was not about to sit idly and watch a formidable enemy emerge.

Upon entering the Lune Small World, Lis was about to gather intelligence to better approach the divine position fragment, when he heard Belial's prayer.

With the growth of Lis's power and utilization of the [Sphinx Ascension Technique].

Though he hasn't stepped onto the path to divinity, he can now simply sense faith and respond to prayers through the [Chaos Faith Convergence] specialty.

Belial's prayer, being directed not at the God of Hunting but a purposeless plea, naturally reached Lis.

Somewhat intrigued, Lis happened upon the people from the Hunting Temple.

He's intercepted them!

Lis, in need of intelligence, obtained the information he desired from the soul memory of the Black Armored Knight.

If he guessed correctly, that "Lune Hunting Ceremony" likely relates to the divine position fragment Luun possesses!

Find a way in to have a look!

Lis ignored the Black Armored Knight below him, approaching Belial.

By now, thanks to the healing magic Lis applied, Belial had mostly recovered.

He opened his eyes to see Lis smiling at him:

"Was it you praying to me?"

"Tell me, what is your wish?"

Belial hadn't yet reacted; he looked at the corpse of the Black Armored Knight not far off and his father, whose neck was twisted unnaturally, with a dark complexion.

In an instant, he remembered everything he had gone through earlier.

"Are you a god?"

"Are you the god who heard my prayer?"

Belial hurriedly flipped over, kneeling before Lis.

"Please… Please save my father."

"I'm willing to pay any price!"

Belial's eyes were blurry, tears uncontrollably flowing down.

He couldn't imagine a tomorrow without his father.

His father had always been his greatest support; even in such danger, his father came to save him disregarding his own safety.

Seeing his father killed by the Black Armored Knight, Belial felt as though his world had collapsed.

Yet, didn't this person in front of him, able to hear his prayer and defeat that Black Armored Knight so effortlessly, seem like a god?

Had I prayed to the enemy of the God of Hunting?

Could this person in front of me be such a great being?

To spread faith, the divine scripture of the God of Hunting was naturally disseminated by the Hunting Temple in the small world.

Therefore, many people, even if illiterate, would know somewhat about the divine.

"Resurrection... is not something difficult."

Lis stroked his chin, smilingly saying to Belial:

"But I need you to help me with something, understand?"

"I understand!"

Belial quickly agreed, fearing Lis might change his mind.

Seeing this, Lis smiled lightly.

He gently raised his right hand, and warm, soft white light spread from it.

Countless beams of soft white light enveloped the surroundings of Aio's corpse, turning into deep, sacred chants, echoing around like celestial hymns.

A gentle and warm glow gradually emanated around Lis, resembling the warm spring sun, filled with endless compassion and hope.

Soon after, a more dazzling holy light shot out from his hand, instantly enveloping the corpse before him.

Under this glow, a miracle began to occur.

The neck of the corpse twisted was gently smoothed by invisible hands, slowly returning to its natural state.

The originally dark complexion of the corpse, as if infused with fresh blood, gradually became rosy, akin to a wilted flower blooming with life again.

Belial held his breath, his gaze fixed tight on this incredible scene, eyes filled with shock and anticipation.

As time passed, the corpse began to tremble slightly, fingers gently curving, telling a tale of longing for life.

Finally, a faint but clear breath sounded, life truly returned to this once cold body.

"What is this?"

Aio slowly opened his eyes, sitting up from the ground.

He looked at the still-fading soft white glow on his body, feeling unprecedented comfort within, as if returned to his eighteen-year-old self.

He noticed Lis before him, and Belial rushing toward him.

"Dad!"

Belial threw himself into his arms, sobbing as he spoke.

"There, there."

Lis smiled slightly, clapping his hands and saying to the two:

"You were the one who prayed to me, so after this, I shall borrow your son for a while."
