Chapter 726: Space Rift Anomaly (Part 2)
Unless those completely insane gods, otherwise, it is impossible to allow such a waste of Their divine power to happen.
Moreover, Lis had never heard of any issues with the Abyss Death Lord Havaro.
Lis then looked at Morris and asked:
"Morris, is there any other issue?"
"I feel that this matter is not that simple."
Upon hearing Lis's words, Risa quietly lifted her head from his embrace, listening silently.
"I don't know either."
Morris sighed and said with a somewhat bitter smile:
"In fact, I also feel something is wrong, but indeed I haven't found a reason."
"As far as I know, the Abyss Death Lord Havaro is not considered a particularly powerful abyss lord in the Endless Abyss. There must be something off about suddenly doing such a thing."
"I personally cleaned up each sacrificial ritual site and didn't find anything unusual."
"The Dawn Church also conducted a Holy Light Baptism on the surrounding people and didn't find any suspicious individuals."
"Including the legends currently in Danerlo Port, I also visited them and didn't find anything suspicious..."
"Kane Floating City has been monitoring the city's situation throughout, and I take control immediately if any issues arise."
"However, only when the sacrificial ritual begins can the location of the ritual be found."
Risa looked at Lis and said softly.
"The lack of anything suspicious is the biggest issue!"
Lis shook his head and said:
"Even if deeply influenced by the Abyss Will, it wouldn't be for no reason to do such things."
"Profit-seeking and danger-aversion is already instinctual for Them, even in the most chaotic madness in the Endless Abyss."
"Spending such a cost to cross worlds and come to Danerlo Port, it can't be without a plot."
"The church indeed has no good solutions now..."
Morris said with a bitter smile, the wrinkles on his face deepening slightly.
"Thank you for your help."
Lis looked at Morris and said with a smile.
During this period, despite numerous attacks by Evil God believers, Danerlo Port wasn't greatly affected.
Besides the preparations Lis left and Danerlo Port, Morris and the Dawn Church contributed significantly.
It was evident that the Dawn Church had increased its investment in Lis and Kane Floating City, valuing his allied force even more.
"This is as it should be."
Morris shook his head and said:
"Last time when you were attacked, the church didn't manage to help much."
"Now you've brought back such important news for us, surely you haven't had an easy time during this period."
"It's been alright."
Lis said with a smile.
Then he gently let go of Risa in his arms and began inspecting around the basement in front of him.
Risa obediently stayed to the side, but her gaze never left Lis.
Lis took a simple turn in the basement, checking the remnants from before.
Morris's purification was quite thorough, and Lis did not sense any lingering evil god aura.
Looking at the faint sacrificial ritual traces on the ground, Lis frowned slightly.
He couldn't detect any issue either.
At least in this room, Lis didn't sense any anomalies.
His Spiritual Sense didn't alert him of any lurking dangers either.
But this situation was somewhat strange.
Could it be that the plan of the Abyss Death Lord Havaro and his evil god believers was really that simple?
If they had other plans, what exactly did they want to achieve?
Thinking of this, Lis turned to Risa and asked:
"Where were the sacrificial rituals of those evil god believers before held in Danerlo Port?"
"Ah... oh oh!"
Risa reacted for a moment and quickly said:
"Zorn Street, Dixon Street, and Horn Avenue."
Lis nodded and a map of Danerlo Port appeared in his mind.
The development of Danerlo Port is now advancing rapidly, with the city area continuingly extending from the port toward inland.
But beforehand, Lis had already planned out the expansion scope of Danerlo Port with Mora, including pre-designated places' names.
So even though Lis had been away for quite some time, he remembered these place names clearly.
On the map of Danerlo Port, the three previous sacrificial rituals plus this one happened to be distributed in different directions of Danerlo Port.
Coincidence?
Lis pondered inwardly, or rather....
Standing in the center of the basement, Lis examined all around.
An appalling magic power erupted from his body, sweeping in all directions.
Violent magic power stirred a gale, rampantly scouring in the basement, exploring every direction without leaving a single dead angle.
Moments later, Lis nodded.
Nothing unusual, no hidden power or invisible existence discovered.
Lis thought for a moment and retracted the released magic power.
He stood still, gently raised his hand, and the ring he wore began to emit a strangely splendid light, as if stars were flickering and leaping within it.
Then, the light grew brighter, and the ring seemed almost alive, transforming and extending at a speed hard to catch by the naked eye.
In just the blink of an eye, the once small ring transformed into an elaborate Crystal Stone Staff.
The staff shone with a profound magic luster, its head embedded with a massive colorless gemstone that refracted light as though containing infinite magic power, each flicker appeared to be absorbing the surrounding energy.
As the staff took shape, an indefinable yet powerful wave emanated slowly from Lis's body.
This wave, formless and without substance, carried an unsettling strength akin to a summon from another dimension.
Wherever the wave passed, the air warped, creating ripple-like patterns akin to water waves.
Under the influence of this intangible wave, Morris and Risa noticed the fierce vibration start in the space around Lis.
Countless black Space Rifts, like countless eyes suddenly opening, appeared without warning around Lis.
These rifts were deep and dark, seemingly entrances to the abyss, intimidating at first glance.
Within the rifts, savage waves seemed to issue a howl, the space storms raging inside.
Spatial turbulence surged through the rifts, relentlessly tearing and shattering everything in its path.
The rifts and turbulence intertwining together forming an extremely hazardous zone, totally unfit for any living creature's existence.
It seemed anything daring to approach would be torn apart and disintegrated instantly in the face of such horrifying Space Power, disappearing into this endless void.
Yet Lis calmly stood at the center of this perilous area, staff in hand like a sovereign of space, exuding an aura of transcendent majesty and poise.
Morris and Risa quietly watched Lis, not interrupting his actions.
The Space Rifts around Lis, even for them as legends, conveyed a dangerous wave.
Watching the space rifts where terrifying storms ravaged, Lis's mouth curled slightly.
Indeed there was a problem!
Danerlo Port is not some dangerous place; the space rifts shouldn't be this chaotic here.
Moreover, the Phillips Crystal is just not far away.
The strange Space Power contained within the Phillips Crystal and also stabilizes space.
Before, when Lis had opened space rifts around Danerlo Port, comparatively "calm" times followed.
They were not dangerous like this at all.
Now, the abnormalities shown by the space rifts couldn't be without reason.
Either something strange happened in the space rifts making spatial turbulence dangerous.
Or someone deliberately did this, intentionally covering up something.
Either way, this anomaly is likely related to the scheme of the Abyss Death Lord Havaro.
Lis, looking at the space rift ahead, the staff in his hand gleaming even brighter.
Let me see what's really hidden within it!
