"This is..." Hiashi's eyes widened, "Chakra... materialized?"
At the same time, Might Guy's iron fist hit the giant half-body skeleton.
"What is this?" Neji, seeing Might Guy's punch fail, looked at Sasuke in surprise.
"This is Susanoo, the ultimate eye technique that only those who awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan of the Uchiha clan can possess." As Sasuke spoke, the giant skeleton quickly grew muscles and blood vessels, and then was covered in dense armor.
"With this, we can hold them off for a while."
"And then?" Seeing that the Konoha crowd had begun attacking in turns—especially Sakura, who cracked a fissure with one punch—Neji couldn't help but feel anxious.
"And then, of course, we ask for help." Seeing Sakura's impressive form, Sasuke shivered and quickly reached into his pocket, activating a paper doll. Kaito's paper clone appeared beside them.
"Sasuke, I warned you long ago," Kaito, sensing their predicament, spoke with a hint of helplessness, "I didn't expect you'd still end up in such a troublesome situation."
While controlling Susanoo to fend off the Konoha group, Sasuke said, "This is how it is, Uncle. Please help us escape."
"You little rascal, always acting without thinking," Kaito said irritably.
"Kaito, what are you up to!" Kakashi, usually so laid-back, was now somewhat angry.
"Ah, I knew it. This will definitely be blamed on me in the end." Kaito covered his face.
"Kaito, hand over Neji!" Hiashi said cautiously, watching Kaito. "The Hyuga clan and the Uchiha clan have always kept to themselves. Don't make the wrong move lightly."
Kaito glanced indifferently at Hiashi but didn't reply.
"Kaito, are you saying this was all Sasuke's idea?" Kakashi continued, "As an elder, you shouldn't spoil him too much."
Kaito sighed, "Well, what can I do? He's the only heir we have left. Spoiling him is the least of our worries."
"How laughable! Do you think the Uchiha clan is still Konoha's greatest clan, and that boy is still a young master?" Hiashi seemed infuriated by Kaito's disregard.
Kaito still paid him no mind and looked at Kakashi instead. "Since Sasuke wants Neji as a companion, I'll allow it."
"Konoha won't just stand by and let this happen." Kakashi revealed his Mangekyō Sharingan.
"Then let's see what we can do." Kaito replied, "Sasuke, hold on for now."
"Got it!" Sasuke responded, continuing to deal with Konoha's relentless attacks.
"Damn it, Guy-sensei!" Lee looked at Guy with determination, "Is it time to save our companion?"
"Lee, I permit you to use the Eight Gates technique." Guy's eyes seemed to burn with fire. "Together, let's bring Neji back!"
"Yes, Guy-sensei!"
"Formation of the Eight Gates, Sixth Gate: Gate of View, open!" With a powerful surge of energy, Lee and Guy opened the sixth gate simultaneously, then rushed forward at blinding speed.
"Step aside!"
The other Konoha ninjas quickly backed away. Guy and Lee became blurred shadows, their fists and kicks striking Sasuke's Susanoo like a storm.
Crack, crack...
The sound of shattering echoed as cracks appeared on the semi-transparent Susanoo, only to be repaired moments later.
"Sasuke, can you hold on?"
Beneath Kaito's feet, a golden mist began to rise.
"For now, yes!" Sasuke was clearly gritting his teeth to endure.
"Don't push yourself too hard. Your Mangekyō Sharingan can't be overused."
Kaito took a step forward, and the golden mist instantly surged up, covering his body.
"I'll handle it from here." Kaito formed hand seals.
"Ryūmyaku Protection!"
Blinding golden lights burst from his hands, quickly expanding into a semi-transparent sphere that enveloped all three of them.
Guy and Lee were suddenly pushed back. At the same time, Sasuke's Susanoo shattered inch by inch. Sasuke groaned, clutching his slightly sore eyes.
"I've got this!" Kakashi suddenly leaped forward, his left eye's Mangekyō spinning rapidly.
"Kamui!"
The space in front of him began to warp.
Crack, crack...
The golden barrier started to fracture under the strain of space distortion.
Kaito calmly extended his hands, placing them on the shoulders of Sasuke and Neji. The golden mist flowed instantly, wrapping around the two boys.
"Time to go."
The three, wrapped in golden energy, slowly sank into the ground.
"Sasuke!!! Neji!!!"
Naruto's enraged voice roared as chains shot into the sky, racing towards their targets.
With a crisp cracking sound, the golden barrier shattered under the space distortion, and Naruto's sealing chains arrived.
But just before the chains could reach them, the three had fully sunk into the ground and disappeared.
"Damn it! Damn it!!" Naruto descended, red-eyed, and knelt on the ground, furiously pounding the spot where the three had vanished.
Kakashi covered his eye and looked back at Hiashi.
Hiashi frowned deeply and shook his head at Kakashi.
"They still got away." Kakashi lowered his headband and sat on the ground, dejected.
"Neji..."
Lee, exhausted, leaned against a tree, his large round eyes filled with tears.
"Lee," Guy's expression was deeply sorrowful, his eyes brimming with tears, "I'm sorry. Maybe I'm just an unqualified teacher."
"Guy-sensei, you're not!" Lee wiped his tears forcefully and looked up at Guy. "I've always watched you charge forward without hesitation. I believe that one day, if not today, you'll bring Neji back."
"Lee!!" Guy hugged his disciple, tears streaming down his face. "Thank you for believing in me!"
"Guy-sensei!!" Lee hugged him tightly in return.
At that moment, Tenten was too overwhelmed to mock the tearful pair. The moment Neji disappeared, her legs had gone weak, and she collapsed helplessly to the ground.
Sakura, seeing Tenten's trembling shoulders, felt a pang of shared sadness.
"Tenten, are you okay?"
She knelt beside her, resting a hand on Tenten's shoulder. She opened her mouth to speak but didn't know what words could offer any comfort. Tenten raised her head, biting her lower lip to stifle her sobs, but couldn't stop herself from cursing through her tears.
"Idiots! Fools!!" She couldn't hold back anymore and hugged Sakura tightly. "Those guys are all stupid jerks. It's so infuriating... *sob sob sob*..."
"Tenten, you..." Sakura was a little surprised, gently patting Tenten's back. "Yeah, boys are all terrible jerks!"
Boys always chase after things girls don't understand, recklessly hurting our fragile hearts. We're all just fellow sufferers in this world.
"*Sob sob*... Why...?" Tenten choked out, "Why didn't he tell me anything? Is Sasuke really more important than me...?"
Sakura's expression became slightly complicated. She sighed and patted Tenten's back again.
This fool... she's just like how I used to be.
She needs to understand, boys don't think like girls. It's not about comparing like that.
Look at me—do you think I ever cared about how Naruto and I rank in Sasuke's heart?
I've long since gotten used to it!
As her thoughts spiraled, Sakura's smile grew more and more twisted.
But wait, I still care a lot!!!
