-------------------------------------------------------------

A few days passed in the blink of an eye. That night, Keita and Sasuke went together to the cellar of the izakaya.

Keita closed the door and activated a barrier.

Sasuke opened his ninja tool bag, and the paper doll, possessed by Izuna, immediately floated out, transforming into a human shape and landing on the ground.

"Hey, you've attracted quite a bit of romance recently!" Izuna reached out and patted Sasuke's head.

"What?" Sasuke looked at him, confused.

"...Nothing." Izuna glared at him, frustrated. "Summon Kaito's paper clone now."

"Oh."

Sasuke didn't understand why Izuna was glaring at him but obediently took out a paper clone and infused it with natural energy.

The paper clone quickly grew, transforming into the likeness of Kaito in an instant.

"Good evening." Kaito smiled and waved. "Long time no see."

"Hmph!" Sasuke crossed his arms. "Let's skip the unnecessary small talk and get straight to explaining the details of the upcoming mission!"

"So ungrateful." Kaito muttered and extended his hand toward Sasuke. "Hand over the space talisman I gave you earlier."

"I know."

Sasuke rummaged through his ninja tool bag and pulled out a talisman, handing it to Kaito.

Kaito took it and tucked it into his right sleeve. Smiling, he said, "Luckily, I had the foresight to anticipate needing a clone and left some materials with Sasuke."

"Yeah, yeah, can you stop bragging now? Let's get to business!" Izuna gave him a look of disdain, then turned around to sit on the small bed against the wall.

"Yes, yes."

Kaito straightened his face and began explaining their action plan.

The next morning, the warm sunlight awakened the small sleeping town.

Keita opened the door of the izakaya, and Sasuke stepped out with a broom, starting to sweep the street outside the entrance.

"Morning, Sato!" The pastry shop owner across the street also opened his door, stretching as he walked out.

"Good morning," Sasuke replied politely before resuming his silent sweeping.

In the forest north of the town, Kaito, Izuna, Sasuke, and Keita stood in the shade of a hidden tree.

"Sasuke created two shadow clones earlier. Has your chakra recovered?" Kaito asked.

"I'm fine." Sasuke gripped the blade at his waist. "I've already recovered."

"That's good," Kaito said. "According to the information Keita gathered, Jigen comes down the mountain every day to buy food. That's the path he must take. Follow my instructions; don't give him any time to react, and aim to strike him in one hit."

"Understood!" The other three responded seriously.

"Let's confirm one last time." Kaito looked at Sasuke. "Is everything we discussed earlier in place?"

"No problem!" Sasuke confidently replied. "Recently, I used the excuse of gathering wild vegetables in the forest and set everything up according to your diagram."

Kaito raised his hand and threw four talismans, which stuck to everyone's bodies.

"These are concealment talismans. Now, spread out to your designated positions as planned!"

The four of them immediately scattered into the woods on both sides of the path, taking up their assigned positions.

The only sound left in the lush forest was the rustling of leaves in the breeze, accompanied by the alternating calls of birds and insects.

As time passed, a figure dressed in white finally appeared at one end of the path.

Jigen had arrived.

Fearing that staring directly at him would alert him, the group avoided looking at him, using only their peripheral vision to track his movements.

Jigen walked slowly, his eyes downcast and his hands clasped in prayer, as he approached their ambush.

The four of them were tense, motionless, and Sasuke and Keita even held their breath.

Jigen continued walking but suddenly stopped as he neared the ambush point.

'What's going on?' Kaito frowned but didn't make any rash moves.

Without his command, the others held their ground as well.

Standing in the middle of the path, Jigen glanced around before continuing to walk.

Seeing this, Kaito inwardly breathed a sigh of relief.

It seemed that Jigen hadn't noticed anything. He probably just had a sudden premonition and became momentarily cautious.

As Jigen moved, Kaito's eyes turned cold.

Finally, a golden light flickered in the forest, and Kaito, wrapped in golden energy, slammed his hands onto the ground.

"Rise!"

The other three simultaneously extended their hands, pressing the golden Ryūmyaku into the ground.

Golden pillars of light shot into the sky from four directions, with Jigen at the center of the square formation.

"Who are you, little mice?" Jigen still clasped his hands in prayer, speaking calmly without panic.

No one answered. Four identical figures emerged from the four kneeling figures, standing behind them.

The new arrivals were all paper clones of Kaito, who immediately started forming seals at high speed.

The ground beneath Jigen's feet rippled like water, glowing with golden waves.

"What's this?" Jigen's expression changed, and a black hole began to expand in front of him.

"Don't think you can escape!" Kaito shouted. "Ryūmyaku, Time-Space Transfer Array!"

Golden ripples suddenly spread from beneath Jigen's feet, and in an instant, golden light engulfed the entire forest. All of their figures disappeared into the light.

---

On a deserted island north of Mount Ōeyama.

Kaito, shrouded in golden mist, stood at the center of the island, while the yokai involved in the operation were scattered around, eagerly waiting.

On the island, countless Ryūmyaku chains extended straight from the ground toward the sky, neatly forming a massive pentagram with Kaito at its center.

Five powerful yokai stood at the five points of the star.

Suddenly, a faint golden light appeared in the center of the island, growing brighter by the second.

"They're here!" Kaito's eyes lit up. "Let's begin!"

The five yokai standing at the points immediately unleashed their powerful auras.

"Wind!"

The small Kamaitachi Santaro shouted, and countless sharp wind blades swirled around his body, slicing deep, smooth cuts into nearby rocks.

"Fire!"

The chubby tanuki Yuta took a swig from his sake bottle, then spat out a stream of scorching flames, distorting the air with its heat.

"Water!"

The red-clad Kaori was surrounded by blooming red spider lilies, with an illusion of Yomi's river of blood roaring behind her.

"Earth!"

Kie, her lower half transformed into a terrifying spider, shouted as sharp spikes of earth erupted from the ground.

"Lightning!"

Onikiri drew his sword, and bright arcs of lightning crackled and flashed along the length of his long blade.

Meanwhile, the golden light at the center of the island intensified, and several figures suddenly appeared from within.

With the sound of something slicing through the air, Sasuke, Izuna, and Keita quickly jumped out of the light and spread out.

Kaito's hands moved in a blur, forming seals at a dizzying speed.

The five-colored pillars of light representing the five basic elements shot up from the five yokai, soaring into the sky.

"Super! Five Element Sealing Formation!"

Lines of light extended from the massive pillars, quickly forming a pentagonal barrier that enclosed the entire island.

"Now, the stage is set." Kaito stared at the figure gradually becoming clear within the golden light. "Welcome, Jigen, or should I say, Otsutsuki Isshiki."
