The sound of splitting echoed as the long sword in Sasuke's hand slashed through Itachi's body.

Itachi's body was swiftly sliced in two by the blade, dispersing into a flock of crows that flew in all directions.

Sasuke quickly sheathed his sword with his right hand and formed a simple hand sign with both hands.

"Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique!"

Countless small fireballs shot from his mouth, precisely targeting and burning the crows.

As the crows turned to ashes, Itachi's voice came from the side.

"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"

A massive fireball, taller than a person, roared towards Sasuke.

"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"

Sasuke formed another hand sign, and a similar fireball burst from his mouth, clashing with Itachi's technique.

Boom!

A violent explosion erupted, igniting a sea of flames as the two massive fireballs collided.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

The brothers simultaneously drew out kunai and shuriken, launching them at each other. The dark weapons crisscrossed through the air, producing clear, sharp sounds as they collided.

Their kunai and shuriken constantly shifted angles, even altering their flight paths through collisions.

However, despite the barrage, neither Sasuke nor Itachi could break through the other's defenses, and the weapons fell to the ground with a series of clattering noises.

"Amazing!"

Naruto and Sakura watched the intense exchange of weapons with wide eyes.

"The Uchiha Clan's mastery of weapons is truly extraordinary," Chiyo remarked, impressed. As a puppeteer, she could easily achieve such feats, but only through the use of chakra strings.

The flames from the Great Fireball had already extinguished. Sasuke formed another hand sign and drew his sword with his right hand.

"Chidori Blade!"

Blue arcs of electricity emitted a piercing screech as they extended from his hand to the blade.

Sasuke dashed forward, raising his sword and aiming the tip at Itachi.

"Chidori Sharp Spear!"

The blade formed by the arcs of electricity extended rapidly, striking towards Itachi's chest at lightning speed.

Itachi agilely sidestepped, his Sharingan spinning rapidly, and he threw a kunai towards Sasuke.

Sasuke's lightning spear retracted, and he swiftly swung his sword, deflecting all the incoming kunai.

His feet left deep imprints on the ground as his body surged with lightning chakra, increasing his speed. He charged at Itachi with his blade still crackling with electricity.

Itachi's kunai was enveloped in chakra as he skillfully blocked Sasuke's fierce sword strikes.

Their eyes locked, and the tomoe in their Sharingan spun rapidly as they engaged in a battle of genjutsu.

Since this Itachi wasn't the real one, his mental strength couldn't compare to Sasuke's, ultimately causing his movements to lag by a second.

In that crucial moment, Sasuke's blade sliced down from his shoulder to his waist, almost cleaving him in two.

Warm blood spurted out, and Itachi, staring at Sasuke's expressionless face, opened his mouth but couldn't produce any sound before collapsing to the ground.

The electricity on Sasuke's blade dissipated as he silently sheathed his sword.

"Sasuke! Are you alright?" Naruto rushed over.

"Huh? Who's this?" he asked, blinking and pointing at the body on the ground.

"Who is this?" Sakura and Kakashi also looked in surprise at the unfamiliar person lying on the ground.

"This is Yura from our village," Chiyo said gravely. "How could this happen? He held an important position in the village."

"Maybe he was a spy for the Akatsuki," Sakura speculated.

"Sasuke, why are you here?" Kakashi asked, turning to Sasuke.

"Yeah, Sasuke, did you come to find us?" Naruto quickly added.

"Sasuke-kun, it's been a while."

Sakura shyly glanced at Sasuke's face.

"I'm searching for Uchiha Itachi," Sasuke replied calmly. "I heard there were Akatsuki members around here, so I came to check it out."

"Is that so? Where's Kaito?" Kakashi asked.

"Uncle?" Sasuke looked puzzled. "Uncle is busy, so I came alone."

"How could ?" let you come by yourself?"

Kakashi frowned. Although Sasuke was considered a rogue ninja from Konoha, Kakashi still regarded him as his student.

"The Shinobi World isn't peaceful right now. It's too dangerous to act alone!"

"Kakashi-sensei is right!" Naruto agreed. "So, come back to Konoha with us, Sasuke."

"There's no danger," Sasuke refused. "I'm not who I used to be."

"Sasuke-kun, even though you're strong, you're still only one person," Sakura also tried to persuade him. "Without companions, it's risky if you face multiple enemies!"

"No need to worry, Grandpa Izuna is protecting me," Sasuke frowned. "Your mission is to rescue Gaara, right? Don't waste time with me."

"Right, Gaara!" Naruto suddenly remembered, becoming anxious. "Kakashi-sensei, let's hurry!"

"Sasuke, will you come with us?" Kakashi asked.

"Sure, our goals don't conflict after all," Sasuke nodded.

"Then let's go."

Kakashi took the lead, and the others quickly followed.

They crossed the territory of the Land of Rivers and arrived at the riverbank where their target was located.

"Huh? Bushy Brows-sensei and his team are here too," Naruto said, stopping and looking down at Team Guy standing on the river's surface.

Inside the cave, the sealing process was nearing completion.

"They've all arrived outside the cave," Zetsu reported. "Including Itachi's younger brother."

"It seems Itachi just lost to his little brother," Deidara remarked loudly. "How weak! Hmph!"

"Wasn't Itachi's little brother following Uchiha Kaito?" Tobi mocked. "Could Uchiha Kaito be here too?"

"I haven't detected Kaito's presence," Zetsu replied.

"So, it's just the little brother on his own," Kisame said. "Has he come to avenge Itachi?"

"Oh…this is a touching drama filled with love and hatred," Tobi's voice quivered as if crying. "The closest brothers, the most bitter enemies… Oh, it's so moving…"

"You better stop, Tobi," Kisame laughed. "Or Itachi-san will definitely kill you."

"Huh? No way, no way! Who would be willing to kill the cute Tobi!"

"Shut up!" Deidara snapped at Tobi. "One day, you'll die by my hands!"

"Alright, the sealing is complete."

Pain suddenly spoke, and everyone fell silent.

The energy dragon retreated from Gaara's body, returning to the mouth of the Gedo Statue.

Gaara's body fell to the ground.

"Itachi, what are the characteristics of the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki?" Deidara suddenly asked.

"You'll know right away; he's the one who'll start yelling the loudest."

"Huh?"

Boom!

The giant boulder blocking the cave entrance was completely shattered.

"Deidara, Sasori, you handle this. We'll contact you later."

As Pain's words ended, the illusions of the others, along with the Gedo Statue, vanished into the rising smoke.

Deidara and Sasori landed from mid-air, with Deidara casually sitting on Gaara's body.
