Riser was about to throw his hand but before he could do that. His hand was frozen in ice before it could reach Sullivan's face.

Grayfia had appeared before him and said.

"That's enough Riser-sama. Any more than this would be taken as a threat to the heir of Gremory's life. You will be condemned and punished with the same degree as a criminal."

Grayfia didn't want to tell him and let him bury himself but with how cunning the Phenex family was. They would never let him be punished like that.

Riser stopped. He knew about it and he could not do anything.

If it was someone else. Riser wouldn't never listen to them.

His family would protect him and the matter would be forgotten entirely.

But to Grayfia. She would never let it go.

"Riser understands, So unfreeze his arm right now."

Grayfia nodded and then stopped using her magic and his harm went back to normal.

He looked at both Grayfia and Rias. He felt very angry right now.

He was set up and he knew it.

"So this means that the Gremory wants to go back on their words. If they break the promise. You all know what the consequences would be, right?"

Promises of the great noble family could not be broken easily. Otherwise there would be huge consequences. 

It could even hurt the foundation of the great noble family.

So they would never break their promise.

Grayfia shook her head then said what she was supposed to say.

"Of course not. That is not what we want to do. The engagement was still in effect but it looked like someone wanted to use the old tradition in order to prevent that from happening."

Grayfia then looked at Sullivan. 

She gave him a signal that he should make his move now.

Sullivan nodded then he stood up from the sofa. 

He pulled a glove he got from Rias earlier and threw it at Riser's face. It smacked his face hard!

Riser felt his face burning from the impact.

The glove was a symbol that Rias had agreed to the duel. If he didn't have Rias's glove.

He could not bring the duel to the table.

"I challenge you to a duel. The winner took the most precious woman in the underworld."

"You!"

Riser was shocked that someone dared to throw something on his face. And for some reason he could not dodge it.

"Do you think you are worthy enough to be Riser's opponent!"

He didn't think that someone would dare to challenge him and even throw something on his face.

Everyone knew how strong he was in High Class level.

And a mere low class Yokai dared to challenge him!

"As the tradition, Riser Phenex of the great noble house Phenex could not avoid the duel. 

If refused it would be taken as a given up on the duel and the winner would be the challenger."

Grayfia said with a cold smile. If Riser refused to have a duel. It would be very good as they didn't have to do anything more.

But with his personality. He would never refuse it and he was very confident that he could beat Sullivan.

He could only feel the little leak but not the full power of his.

Riser gritted his teeth even though duel with someone weaker than him was an insult but he didn't want to give up on Rias.

He wanted to collect every beautiful woman in the underworld. 

And Rias was one of the rare beauties in the underworld.

He would never let her go no matter what.

"Riser accepts the challenge. Riser will teach the mongrel his place."

Sullivan when he heard the word mongrel then the blonde hair he couldn't help but laughed out loud.

Riser's personality was close to Gilagmesh but with a hundred percent trash in ability.

"The duel would be appointed at a later date by the maous. Riser-sama please go back to the underworld first."

"Why does Riser have to go back? Riser will–"

"Your sister Ravel Phenex has made a call to me this morning. If you don't go back today. She will be very angry and won't speak to you anymore."

Riser was shocked. He gritted his teeth. Then Riser gave up.

He didn't want to have a problem with his little sister.

"Riser will go back. But not because Riser is afraid of you!"

Riser looked at his servants. They knew that Riser was a siscon so they tried to not show anything on their face.

"Let's go."

They then went back to the underworld by magic.

When they were gone. Everything went back to normal except for Grayfia.

She was now staring intensely at Sullivan. She tried to check how strong he was.

But no matter what she could only feel that he was as strong as a low class level devil.

"Hey, You are very rude right now you know."

Sullivan said with a smile. Grayfia then stopped staring. She then apologized to him for her rudeness.

"Don't worry Grayfia Onee-sama. He is very strong. Even me, Koneko, and Akeno had ganged up on him. He didn't even break a sweat."

"Please use a different phrase, Rias-sama."

Grayfia, She couldn't change her at all.

"Well, that's aside. Let's talk about what should be done from now."

Grayfia looked at Sullivan then told him what he had to do from now on.

The duel would take place in a month, One on One. He could not use any holy item in the fight either.

He could only use his personal power.

"I don't have a problem with that but can I kill him?"

Grayfia thought about it a little then she nodded.

"You can kill him."

"You seem to not truly understand what I meant. I mean truly unalive him like he would never wake up or rebirth from his ashes. True death, something like that."

Grayfia was shocked to hear that. If it was other people she would doubt it but if it was someone who related to Gabriel of the heaven.

He might be able to truly kill Riser Phenex.

"Please refrain from killing him as it might create a big problem for you and Rias-sama in the future. Just beat him up."

Sullivan nodded. He will kill him and bring him back with the true power of Phoenix.
