Chapter 138: Chapter 138: LiveWire
[Third Person's PoV]
"We? Tony, your mind isn't being taken over by that thing, is it?" Melissa asked warily.
Tony shrank back down and began withdrawing the symbiote suit, which seemed to disappear into his skin. "Nah, I just said that to be funny."
He then stretched as he exited the containment chamber. "Urghhh~ I feel like a trillion bucks!"
"Isn't the saying a million bucks?" Melissa asked, giving Tony a funny look.
"Come on, babe, you should know me by now. If I felt like a million bucks, I wouldn't feel good at all."
Melissa rolled her eyes but looked at Tony worriedly. "Are you sure you're alright? There's nothing wrong with you?"
"I honestly feel a lot healthier. Remember, symbiotes have body chemistry manipulation, so it knows what to do to keep me in top shape," Tony said as he pulled Melissa into a hug.
"I suppose that makes sense…" Melissa muttered.
"So, how would you like one for yourself?" Tony asked.
"Sure, I wouldn't mind. It did look kinda cool," Melissa muttered.
Tony nodded. "I'll have Friday send you what you need to customize your own."
He suddenly chuckled as a funny idea came to mind. "Want to see something cool?" he asked, stepping back slightly.
Melissa tilted her head in confusion and motioned for him to go ahead.
Tony opened his mouth and stuck out his tongue, which was unnaturally long.
Melissa stood there with wide eyes and reddening cheeks. "That is... wow."
Tony smirked teasingly. "You naughty girl~ What are you thinking about that's got you blushing?"
Melissa smacked him on the chest, still blushing. "You know what you're doing, you perv!" she said before walking away with a blush.
Tony laughed and shook his head, then looked at his hands, summoning small tendrils from his fingertips. He walked over to his workstation and grabbed a small casing that held the Techno-vision lenses.
Tony sent his finger tendrils to wrap around the casing, and the tendrils started gaining red circuitry lines as energy pulsed through them. His eyes began to glow red as black tendrils wrapped around his eyeballs, darkening his vision.
"Urgh!" Tony grunted in pain as he held his eyes.
His entire eyeballs turned pitch black, without any pupils. The blackness split open and retreated, revealing Tony's red glowing eyes, which resembled systemic gears, constantly shifting and spinning.
Tony looked around with a smirk as everything in his sight was highlighted, showing ways to upgrade them.
His eyes twitched and briefly returned to normal before twitching again, causing the red glow to reappear. "Nice~ now I have them permanently," Tony muttered.
...
It was close to nighttime, and Tony and Melissa were standing in front of their home, with Mei standing before them, holding a large suitcase filled with everything she had made during their time together.
Mei hugged both Tony and Melissa. "Thank you for the opportunity you both gave me. I learned a lot—things I never thought were possible."
"Don't mention it," Tony said, patting her back.
"Your company was enjoyable," Melissa added.
After one last round of goodbyes, Mei grabbed her bags, got into her ride, and waved one final time before being driven away.
Tony looked over at Melissa. "Shall we begin with your symbiote now?"
Melissa nodded. "Friday already has the changes I made. She should have finished creating it by now."
A few minutes later…
Melissa found herself in the same containment chamber Tony had used, looking down at the black-and-yellow symbiote before her.
"Here goes nothing…"
"Wait!" Tony called, causing Melissa to pause and look at him in confusion.
"What did you decide to call it?"
"Are you serious?" Melissa asked, her expression deadpan.
"Dead serious. It's essential that they get a name related to something bad or deadly," Tony nodded.
"Ugh," Melissa groaned, rolling her eyes. "Let's see… I'll name it... Livewire."
"Lame!"
"Malware isn't any better!"
Tony gasped dramatically, clutching his chest in mock shock. "You did not just say that! Don't listen to the haters, baby. They only want to bring you down," he said, addressing his symbiote.
"Should I give my partner a name as well?" Master Splinter asked, sitting on Tony's shoulders.
"Absolutely," Tony nodded.
"You said something deadly, right? Then I'll name mine... Mousetrap. There's nothing deadlier than that," Master Splinter said in a low, gravelly voice.
Melissa let out an exasperated sigh and looked down at her symbiote. "Take two. Let's do this," she said, placing her hands on the symbiote.
Melissa cried out as the symbiote began to wrap around her body, bonding at a fundamental level. The markings around her suit formed the shape of lightning bolts as she grew in size, her face fully covered.
When the transformation was complete, Melissa let out a breath and stood up, now towering at 2.8 meters tall.
"Now, I get what you meant. I feel incredible!"
Bolts of yellow electricity crackled all over Melissa's figure.
"So, care to explain what changes you made?" Tony asked, as he hadn't been privy to the abilities.
"The first ability is something I'm calling Bio-Electric Discharge. The symbiote enhances my nervous system, allowing me to generate and channel electricity directly through my body," Melissa smirked.
She then turned her fingertips into large circular cable ports. "The second ability is Energy Absorption. My symbiote can absorb most energy directed at me—turning it into fuel for my attacks or healing any injuries I might get."
Tony almost laughed, as her fingers reminded him of Feedback from Ben 10.
The cable ports crackled as bio-electricity charged up. Melissa looked at her hands in awe before smirking and thrusting them forward. Beams of bio-electricity shot out from her fingertips.
"Haha! That was awesome!" Melissa exclaimed.
Tony looked at her, confused. "We have cooler suits than that…"
"Yeah, but none of them involve us creating the attacks. That charge of electricity came directly from me, which was awesome."
Melissa aimed her cable ports at each other, forming a web of crackling lightning between her fingers.
Tony and Melissa continued testing the symbiote's powers, with Tony eventually joining in. They experimented late into the night.
As they headed to bed, Melissa leaned against Tony. "You know, it feels like forever since we've been to school with everything that's happened."
"I know what you mean, but I'm honestly glad the internships are over for now," Tony nodded.
"Hehe, I can't wait to see how everyone's changed after their internships. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm actually excited to go to school tomorrow," Melissa giggled.
Tony chuckled. "I know what you mean... Neither can I."
End of Volume 2

A/N: As everyone here knows by now, after the end of ever volume I like to ask my readers what was your most favorite part of the story, now I would like to add a twist, I'm curious to know what your favorite parts were and what you didn't like or outright hated.
For example my favorite part was When Star and Stripes found them beaten and blood with defeated villains everyone and just them sitting on the throne.
The part I disliked was the doctor part that followed as I felt I could have done a better job at portraiting the scene better.
