I Am Hades, Lord of the Underworld!

Hestia left the Black Sea, and as soon as she did, she could sense two divine powers descending, sealing the crystal ball in her palm once again.

The first generation of gods was led by Gaia, consisting of eight ancient gods. The second generation was led by Cronus. The third generation was led by Hades, but many third-generation gods were born before Hades.

However, Hades was the eldest, so the third-generation gods were still led by him. But Hestia's status was unique. Although Hades led the third generation, if we were to consider the first of the third generation, it would be Hestia.

But according to Erebus and Nyx, those weren't the main reasons. If they wanted, everything Hades had achieved, except for the Seven-Headed, Ten-Horned Red Dragon and the Perfect Specters, could be replicated.

The real reason lay in Hades' emotions. He was a god who perfectly controlled his rationality, yet he still possessed feelings. Whether it was his care for his subordinate gods or his affection for Hestia and Rhea, these all proved that Hades had emotions.

Rhea and Hestia—one a mother goddess, the other a sister. If it were Zeus, they'd be lucky not to be ignored, let alone treated with any affection. And expecting Zeus to treat Hestia like the little princess she is? That's just not happening!

Hades, on the other hand, was very protective of his subordinate gods. Often, just a word from him showed great care and support. This was evident when Hades took the initiative to bring up Mnemosyne's issue.

This is why Erebus and Nyx shamelessly went all in. In their eyes, Hades' emotions were the core reason. A god with emotions is more likely to lead all who follow him down the right path, rather than discarding them when they are no longer useful.

That's something Zeus would definitely do. As for Hades, he might not care much, but if you're no longer of use, you can just stay in the Underworld.

If one day you truly die in battle in the Underworld, Hades could bring you back. But if you repeatedly die, causing your soul to collapse entirely, there's nothing more that can be done.

At that point, Hades could only say that as a God-King, he had done his utmost. As for other God-Kings, they certainly wouldn't go to the lengths Hades would!

This is the fundamental reason why the two ancient gods decided to go all in.

In the chaotic Greek pantheon, finding a god who has humanity and is willing to take responsibility is rare. And finding a God-King like Hades? Even rarer. 

Miss this opportunity, and there won't be another!

Hestia had no idea what the two ancient gods were thinking. She quickly left the Underworld.

Nereus watched Hestia's departing figure and softly murmured, "The Black Sea Whale…"
