I Am Hades, Lord of the Underworld!

Chapter 266: Chapter 266: Hestia: Doesn’t Everyone Have Elders? The Root Cause of Two Ancient Gods Going All In!

Hestia left the Black Sea, and as soon as she did, she could sense two divine powers descending, sealing the crystal ball in her palm once again.

"Thank you, my lords!"

Hestia expressed her gratitude with respect. When facing Pontus, she had to maintain the dignity of her own Underworld. But when it came to her own elders, especially when they had helped her, it was only right to show proper respect.

To be honest, Hestia knew very well that if it weren't for Erebus and Nyx accompanying her, she wouldn't have dared to take the Black Sea Whale away so easily.

No joke!

The Black Sea Whale was a pet that Pontus kept in the Black Sea, and even Pontus only had one of these creatures. This alone shows that becoming a God-King is not something that can be achieved casually.

Even Gaia, the Earth Goddess, managed to create only one Earth Mother Serpent, which was pretty much her limit. This illustrates the uniqueness of the God-King—it's not something just anyone can achieve.

And the Black Sea Whale—if Hestia had taken it out of the Black Sea and the seal had somehow failed, things could have gotten really interesting!

Fortunately, nothing went wrong. After all, Hestia also had her elders to back her up, so she felt confident and fearless!

With a smile, Hestia prepared to leave the Sea Realm.

Erebus and Nyx, the couple of ancient gods, couldn't help but chuckle softly.

"Hehehe~~~"

Erebus, with a hint of amazement and helplessness, said, "This child Hestia... she really is like a little girl. Even though she's the eldest of the third-generation gods, she still behaves like a child."

The first generation of gods was led by Gaia, consisting of eight ancient gods. The second generation was led by Cronus. The third generation was led by Hades, but many third-generation gods were born before Hades.

However, Hades was the eldest, so the third-generation gods were still led by him. But Hestia's status was unique. Although Hades led the third generation, if we were to consider the first of the third generation, it would be Hestia.

Even though many third-generation gods like Metis and Prometheus were born before Hestia, they didn't have the same status. Only the children of Cronus and Rhea held that distinction.

Nyx, with a gentle smile, said, "With Hades spoiling her, if Hestia wants to remain a child, then she can just be a child."

"That's true," Erebus agreed with a nod and a smile.

Erebus and Nyx, this couple of ancient gods, why did they choose to go all in on Hades? Was it purely because of Hades' terrifying talent? Or was it because of his actions? Not entirely!

Hades had great luck, extraordinary talent, and an astonishing rate of growth!

But according to Erebus and Nyx, those weren't the main reasons. If they wanted, everything Hades had achieved, except for the Seven-Headed, Ten-Horned Red Dragon and the Perfect Specters, could be replicated.

The real reason lay in Hades' emotions. He was a god who perfectly controlled his rationality, yet he still possessed feelings. Whether it was his care for his subordinate gods or his affection for Hestia and Rhea, these all proved that Hades had emotions.

Rhea and Hestia—one a mother goddess, the other a sister. If it were Zeus, they'd be lucky not to be ignored, let alone treated with any affection. And expecting Zeus to treat Hestia like the little princess she is? That's just not happening!

Hades, on the other hand, was very protective of his subordinate gods. Often, just a word from him showed great care and support. This was evident when Hades took the initiative to bring up Mnemosyne's issue.

This is why Erebus and Nyx shamelessly went all in. In their eyes, Hades' emotions were the core reason. A god with emotions is more likely to lead all who follow him down the right path, rather than discarding them when they are no longer useful.

Yeah...

That's something Zeus would definitely do. As for Hades, he might not care much, but if you're no longer of use, you can just stay in the Underworld.

If one day you truly die in battle in the Underworld, Hades could bring you back. But if you repeatedly die, causing your soul to collapse entirely, there's nothing more that can be done.

At that point, Hades could only say that as a God-King, he had done his utmost. As for other God-Kings, they certainly wouldn't go to the lengths Hades would!

This is the fundamental reason why the two ancient gods decided to go all in.

In the chaotic Greek pantheon, finding a god who has humanity and is willing to take responsibility is rare. And finding a God-King like Hades? Even rarer.

Miss this opportunity, and there won't be another!

Hestia had no idea what the two ancient gods were thinking. She quickly left the Underworld.

"That is…"

Nereus watched Hestia's departing figure and softly murmured, "The Black Sea Whale…"

Born from the Black Sea, Nereus naturally knew about the Black Sea Whale. After pondering for a moment, he quickly understood the reason and thought to himself, "Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind. The Lord of the Underworld, how many divine beasts has he collected? If he's aiming to represent Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind with four God-King-level beasts…"

"Then…"

Nereus' expression suddenly became serious. He knew very well that if Hades were to step into the realm of the ancient gods, the current balance of power among the three rulers would be completely disrupted.

Nereus hurried toward Atlantis. Although he knew that Lord Poseidon must already be aware, he still needed to report it.

However!

Nereus also clearly felt that Rhea was indeed biased!

To be honest!

Rhea was blatantly biased, always helping Hades while not even glancing at Poseidon and Zeus. But Nereus also understood that if it were anyone else, they'd be just as biased.

After all!

Poseidon and Zeus, compared to Hades, the eldest son, were just too inferior. It's not that Hades is so great, but when you compare them…

Well...

There's no competition!
