Chapter 210: Chapter 210: The Outside World in Turmoil, While Mount Othrys Remains Calm
The terrestrial world!
Once again, it was thrown into great turmoil.
The gods under the three God-Kings of the Underworld, Ocean Realm, and Heavenly Realm launched another wave of chaos upon the terrestrial world. In a short amount of time, the chaos spread across the entire terrestrial realm, plunging it into massive upheaval.
The most crucial point is this:
This is the best opportunity. If this time is missed, it will not be easy to continue plundering the resources of the terrestrial world.
Moreover!
Both the Ocean Realm and the Heavenly Realm have suffered significant losses. If they don't seize this chance to plunder more, how will they replenish the lost resources?
As for the Underworld?
What a joke!
Who would ever complain about having too many resources? Clearly, that's out of the question. The entire Underworld found itself in this situation, with a large number of Underworld gods dispatched to cause widespread chaos across the terrestrial world.
However!
In the midst of this chaos, the new gods wisely hid themselves away. They couldn't afford to provoke these three powerful factions, so they quietly retreated, waiting for ten thousand, maybe even twenty thousand years, until everything had returned to normal. Only then would it be appropriate for them to reemerge.
As for the resources of the terrestrial world?
If there was a chance to snatch a little, they would take it; if not, they'd leave it be. Trying to snatch food from a tiger's mouth was never a good idea. Who knows what might happen—if something truly dangerous occurred, it could spell the end.
Their lives were their own, but resources were external. If they managed to plunder some, great; but if not, and they lost their lives in the process, that would be truly devastating.
In short, everything happened in the shortest time possible, leading to massive upheaval. The chaos in the terrestrial world wouldn't cease until the Mythical World recovered and a certain god resumed control.
Meanwhile,
Compared to the turmoil in the terrestrial world, Mount Othrys remained in a state of endless calm. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to describe it as completely tranquil.
...
Mount Othrys!
Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus sat quietly on their thrones.
Clearly,
The three God-Kings, now somewhat recovered, had recreated their thrones and sat silently. Though no words were exchanged, their attitude was clear: they would simply wait.
The contrast between the chaos of the terrestrial world and the calm of Mount Othrys made it feel as though they were in two different places. Yet the more serene it appeared, the more it signaled the calm before the storm.
"..."
Almost simultaneously, Poseidon and Zeus frowned slightly and turned their gaze towards Hades.
From start to finish,
Hades sat with his eyes closed, quietly resting. He could certainly feel the gazes of his two brothers, but he didn't care. What was the point? They were already a step behind; and since they were, discussing things further was meaningless. They would have to swallow this bitter pill, whether they liked it or not.
The two God-Kings soon regained their composure. They understood what was going on, and knowing this, they didn't show much emotional fluctuation.
"Hades."
"Poseidon."
Zeus spoke calmly, and Hades slowly opened his eyes, both gods silently looking at Zeus.
Zeus spoke in a steady tone: "The Titan God War has ended. The God-King Crown is sealed within the Heavenly Realm. I still need to discuss this matter with you."
"In my opinion, there's no rush," Poseidon replied calmly. "The significance of the God-King Crown is not great. It merely confirms the position of God-King. But a God-King has never been defined by a mere crown."
Poseidon's voice was indifferent, devoid of any emotion.
Clearly,
To Poseidon, what would it matter if Zeus obtained the God-King Crown? He would merely be the Heavenly Emperor of the Heavenly Realm. Did he think possessing the crown would make him the true God-King?
It was nothing but a joke!
Hades, on the other hand, didn't show any concern. Or rather, he had no intention of participating in the discussion at all. He sat quietly, exuding endless calm.
The God-King Crown?
This thing!
Well...
In Hades' eyes, it was something of no real value. To be blunt, what use did it have for him?
Hades had no interest in the so-called supreme position of God-King.
The reason is simple!
If you truly control the four realms—Underworld, Ocean, Heaven, and Earth—and possess the authority of four God-Kings, then holding the God-King Crown would indeed make you the true God-King, granting you the authority to control everything.
But the problem is!
If you could truly control everything, then the God-King Crown would be utterly meaningless, just like the imperial seal of a nation.
Is my rule legitimate or not? Can a mere seal determine that? No, it's decided by military might. If I can conquer the entire realm, I am the supreme emperor. If I can't, then even if you give me the imperial seal, does that make me emperor?
It's just a joke! Hades felt the same way. To put it bluntly, he didn't care at all. He wasn't interested in becoming the God-King of this Mythical World.
He had his own path to follow, though still in the exploration phase. His divine power continued to grow, and he was gradually finding his way.
Given that,
All he needed to do was continue on his path step by step. Why should he be interested in the God-King Crown?
Of course!
Despite what he said, Hades had other thoughts as well. He spoke quietly, "Zeus, you intend to use the God-King Crown to ascend and become the true God-King."
Poseidon maintained a calm expression, and the two gods quietly watched Zeus, as if waiting for his response.
"..."
Zeus felt a headache coming on. He did have ambitions, but he wasn't foolish. If he declared himself God-King, wouldn't these two simply kill him on the spot?
Or worse!
If two of them teamed up against one, it would create an incredibly awkward situation.
