I Am Chaos Incarnate

Chapter 4: The System 2

Kael stood frozen for a moment, unsure of what was happening. The air around him felt heavier, and there was a strange buzz in his mind, like something had just clicked into place.

[System Synchronized. Initializing...]

A new wave of information flooded his senses. He instinctively looked down at his hands, as if they could somehow tell him what was going on. There was no sign of magic, no flashing lights or grand revelations—just a deep, quiet sensation that something had changed.

The soft chime came again, followed by a sudden influx of information. It appeared as if some kind of system interface had opened in his mind, displaying details he hadn't asked for.

Name: Kael Albert

Race: Human (Formerly Pathless)

Existence Tier: Low-Tier Mortal

Main Abilities: Creation and Destruction

Physique: 0.3

Soul: 0.5

Mental State: 1

Ability Level: 1

Kael blinked at the display, his mind reeling. His eyes darted over the details. It wasn't a dream, and it wasn't some joke. The words were there, as clear as anything. But Creation and Destruction? What kind of powers were those? And why was his ability level at zero?

His heart pounded in his chest as he reread the details. Was this the beginning of his awakening? Was this why the system had appeared?

But there was no time for answers. Kael's head felt heavy as more information flowed in, adjusting itself in his mind. The weight of it all almost made him sit down again, but he kept his feet planted firmly on the ground.

The sun outside was setting, the shadows growing long across the garden. Kael stared at his hands again, trying to make sense of it all.

"Creation... Destruction..." he whispered, testing the words. It felt strange, like they had a weight to them, something beyond just ordinary magic or power.

Kael's mind was spinning, the words "Creation" and "Destruction" echoing in his thoughts. The idea of having such powerful abilities was overwhelming, but it didn't feel like a dream or some fantasy. It felt real. And then, just as his thoughts began to race, a calm voice cut through the noise in his mind.

[System: Explanation of Creation and Destruction]

The words appeared in his mind, clear and steady, like a gentle voice that he could feel deep inside his chest.

[Creation: The ability to bring into existence anything you imagine. From objects to living creatures, Creation allows you to manifest forms out of nothing. The key is understanding the nature of what you're creating. At your current level, you can create simple objects—things like tools, weapons, or structures. The more energy you put into the creation, the more powerful and complex it can become.]

[Destruction: The opposite of Creation. Destruction allows you to erase or break down anything—physical, magical, or even abstract. At your current level, you can break down simple things like rocks or wooden objects. The more energy you use, the more you can destroy, including elements of magic or even the laws that govern certain things.]

[Both abilities operate based on your Primordial Chaos energy. This unique energy comes from the very fabric of existence, a force that transcends time and space. It is the energy of creation and entropy—the balance between life and death, growth and decay. You have perfect control over these abilities. They are yours to wield, like they've been with you since the dawn of time.]

Kael stood still, absorbing the explanation. It felt like a lot to take in, but there was something about it that made sense. He could create things... and destroy them. Simple at first, but the more he thought about it, the more he realized how immense the potential was. If he truly had control over these powers, it was like he could reshape the world.

But there was a problem. He could feel it, like a weight in his chest. His energy—this "Primordial Chaos energy"—wasn't fully aligned with him yet. It was like a wild force inside, constantly shifting and restless, not quite under his control.

[System: Your current Primordial Chaos energy is unstable. The more you use it, the more refined it will become. But for now, any creation you make will be permanent, and the energy used to create or destroy will be absorbed into the process. Keep in mind, the more chaotic your creation or destruction, the more chaotic the energy will be.]

Kael frowned, staring at his hands again. So, his energy wasn't completely synced with him yet. That could be a problem. If it was unstable, he might not be able to fully control the magnitude of his abilities. One wrong move, and things could get out of hand.

Still, it was hard to ignore the excitement bubbling up inside him. He wasn't just some pathless prince anymore. He had powers. Real powers.

[System: At your current level, your abilities are limited. You can only create basic items, and your destructive abilities are weak. But over time, as your energy stabilizes, your powers will grow.]

Kael took a deep breath. He didn't feel like testing them just yet, not with the energy still feeling so off. But the idea that his abilities would grow, that he could refine them, was something to look forward to. For now, he needed to focus on getting his energy under control.

"Creation and Destruction..." he muttered again, his mind starting to piece things together. "I guess I've got a long road ahead."

For now, though, he would just take it one step at a time. He didn't need to rush. The power was his, and he'd figure out how to use it properly. And maybe, just maybe, he could start changing things around here.
