I am an Alien in another reality.

Chapter 46: A Promise and Proposal

The sun hung high over Rivendell, casting its golden rays over the lush valley. Alex walked through the tranquil elven city, smiling as he saw a familiar figure.

Arwen sat beneath a flowering tree in the courtyard, a faint smile gracing her lips as she fiddled with an instrument. Her silky silver hair cascaded down her shoulders.

Sensing someone approaching, she raised her head. Her eyes widened slightly as she saw the man who had kept her awake at night and distracted her during her research.

"Alex," she called softly, her voice filled with warmth.

"Arwen," Alex replied, his heart leaping at the sight of her. He reached her side and took her hands in his. "It's good to see you again. I've missed you more than words can express."

"As have I," Arwen said, her eyes glistening.

He gently pulled her into an embrace, holding her close as the afternoon breeze rustled the leaves around them. For a moment, the world seemed to pause, leaving only the two of them in its stillness.

Alex looked at her face, her eyes misty as she met his gaze. He lowered his head, and their lips met. It wasn't hurried or driven by desire but soft and tender, a whisper of affection that spoke louder than words ever could.

Their lips lingered, neither rushing nor demanding, a perfect harmony of two souls touching. When they finally drew apart, their foreheads rested together, and their smiles carried the unspoken assurance that this moment was more than just a kiss, it was a bond unbreakable and true.

"Come," Alex said after a while. "I have something to show you."

"What is it?" Arwen asked, tilting her head in curiosity.

"Trust me," Alex said with a smile. "You'll love it."

Taking her hand, Alex removed the ring from his finger, placed it on the bench, and activated his ability. They disappeared from Rivendell, reappearing in Mín Heimr.

The afternoon sunlight in Mín Heimr was golden and soft, illuminating the vibrant landscapes of Alex's creation.

They Hovered above the plane, as Alex enveloped them both with his energy, taking in the view from above.

Arwen gasped as she took in the breathtaking landscape: rolling meadows, pristine forests, and mountains that touched the clouds.

"This... this is incredible, I always knew you are greater than what my Father suspected you to be." She whispered; her eyes wide with wonder.

Alex chuckled softly. "Welcome to Mín Heimr, a world within my ring, a realm I created to bring magic and life together in harmony."

Arwen walked forward, marveling at the beauty around her. "It's like a dream."

He guided her through the realm, showing her the elven settlement nestled within the great forest, their homes shaped into the trees.

The Fey settlements were equally enchanting, their crafts and vibrant designs blending seamlessly with their domains.

When they reached the Mermaid Island within the quiet ocean, Arwen was captivated by its shimmering shores and tranquil waters.

"They've created such a beautiful life here, I wish life was like this in Middle Earth," Arwen remarked.

"They have," Alex agreed. "Each group has made this world their home in unique ways."

Finally, Alex brought her to the heart of Mín Heimr, where the twin trees stood tall and radiant, their light bathing the area in a soft glow.

"These trees…" Arwen said, her voice trailing off as she stared in awe. "They remind me of the Two Trees of Valinor."

"They're inspired by them," Alex admitted. "A tribute to what was lost."

Arwen turned to him, her eyes filled with emotion. "Alex, can you bring one of these trees to Middle-earth? It would bring hope to our people."

Alex's expression grew serious. He reached for her hands and held them tightly. "I wish I could, Arwen. But I made a promise to Eru, the God of your world. I vowed not to disrupt the balance of Middle-earth."

Arwen sighed, nodding in understanding. "I see. Your word is sacred, and I won't ask you to break it."

They stood in silence for a moment, the light of the twin trees surrounding them. Alex lifted a hand to her cheek, brushing it gently as he leaned closer.

Their lips met beneath the glowing canopy of the radiant trees, painting a picturesque scene.

Later that day, Alex met with Elrond in Rivendell's grand hall. The elven lord greeted him warmly.

"Greetings to the Great Maia," Elrond began. "Arwen tells me you've returned to us. What brings you here this time?"

"I came to see Arwen," Alex said honestly. "And I also wish to speak with you."

Elrond's expression shifted slightly, sensing the seriousness in Alex's tone. "Please." He gestured toward a seat.

Alex straightened. "I wish to marry Arwen."

Elrond's eyes widened briefly in surprise, but he quickly composed himself. "You seek to marry my daughter?"

"Yes," Alex said, meeting his gaze steadily. "I also know the weight of what I'm asking."

Elrond was silent for a moment before he spoke. "You know that Arwen's fate was not meant to intertwine with yours."

"I do," Alex said. "Her original fate was to marry Aragorn, the future King of Gondor, and choose mortality. That path has already been altered. Eru allowed it to happen at a price I paid. He agreed to this change but bound me with a promise not to interfere further with the balance of Middle-earth."

Elrond studied Alex carefully. "So her love for you is the price?"

Alex shook his head. "Her love is a gift, not a price. The price is something else."

Elrond's face softened. "I've... seen your dedication."

"I would give everything for her," Alex said simply.

Elrond exhaled deeply. "As her father, my greatest wish is for her happiness. Yet, I cannot deny that I feared her love would lead her to an early end. If she chooses you, then I will give you my blessing."

Alex bowed his head. "Thank you."

"There is one more thing," Elrond said. "Middle-earth faces a growing threat. Sauron's shadow spreads, and his influence darkens the hearts of many. Will you aid us in this fight?"

Alex's expression grew somber. "I can't interfere directly. My promise binds me. But I can give you assistance in another way."

Elrond nodded slowly. "That will be enough. Thank you for your honesty."

As they parted, Elrond's final words stayed with Alex. "Take care of her, Alex. A father's love for his daughter transcends even the longest lives."

"I will," Alex replied calmly.
