I alone am the Honoured One!

Chapter 820: Who am I?

Qian Shi's gaze remained steady as her spear trembled faintly in Zhao Tian's grip.

Then, with a fluid motion, she pulled it back, and the tip of her silver spear twirled once through the air before it came to rest diagonally across her back.

She hovered above the shattered earth, her long white hair billowing gently behind her.

Her lips parted and she spoke in a calm tone "…Your name."

Zhao Tian stood still and he exhaled, steadying himself "Zhao Tian..."

Qian Shi's eyes narrowed slightly and she spoke again, "You have broken the divine clause of the Heavens and killed one born with the trait of the Qorrathi race."

Her gaze didn't waver "And so… you are to receive Heaven's Judgment."

Upon hearing this, Zhao Tian gripped his sword tightly, and his gaze narrowed further.

But then, Qian Shi lowered her spear slightly… and her tone softened "But this time…"

Her golden eyes looked into his calm blue eyes "I will let you go."

Huh? Zhao Tian's eyes remained fixed on her and Ji Shuang, standing a distance away, stared in confusion.

Qian Shi turned away slowly, her white robes trailing in the air as she hovered "I saw no corruption in your intent. Only defiance... and pain."

She hovered in the air for a few moments longer, and then she disappeared as the golden rift above began to close.

The light faded, and the pressure on the battlefield lifted.

He stared at the air blankly 'She could have killed me, but she didn't. Is something restricting herself from killing me?'

'My Arch Nemesis...'

Just then, Ji Shuang's boots crunched softly across the rubble as she rushed to his side "Tian, are you alright?"

He turned to her and nodded. "Yeah… I'm alright."

There were cuts on his arms and scorch marks across his chest, but he looked more tired than injured.

He stored the sword in his storage ring and let out a deep sigh sigh "What was her deal... just came to warn me indirectly? That I stepped too far?"

Ji Shuang patted his shoulder and muttered "Maybe.. but surely she doesn't have killing intentions towards you."

Zhao Tian's gaze lowered in contemplation 'The Heavenly One... She had a chance but she didn't even try to hurt me.'

Ji Shuang looked at him for a moment before stepping away, giving him some space.

Zhao Tian stared ahead again, looking at the fading golden clouds 'We are surely destined to meet again...'

...

*thud*

Qian Shi collapsed onto the floor of her private chamber and the air around her shimmered faintly, rippling from the residual divine energy she had brought back with her.

"Aughhh!!"

She groaned and her fingers trembled as they gripped the sides of her head.

A sharp, blinding pain throbbed deep in her skull and her lips quivered in paon "Ugh..."

Her breath came in short, rapid gasps as she staggered forward on her hands and knees.

Her golden eyes widened and flickered violently with threads of light, unable to focus correctly.

"W-What's happening..."

She clenched her teeth, trying to hold herself together, but it was as if something buried for eons had suddenly begun clawing its way to the surface.

"Ughh… wh-what is this?"

Since the moment she directly confronted Zhao Tian, she started getting this headache, and that's why she had to leave quickly from there.

A sharp, needle-like pain stabbed through her temples.

Her vision twisted, and reality around her blurred before refocusing.

A vision?

A sudden image exploded across her consciousness.

The first thing she noticed was the silence.

A scorched battlefield stretched across the void of space with ripped stars, shattered moons, and the remains of dead stars burned like scattered coals in the distance.

The heavens themselves were torn asunder, and time rippled with every pulse of residual force still lingering in that forsaken arena.

Entire planets floated broken, bleeding magma and debris.

And amid the chaos… was her.

She hovered above the ruins, and her white hair fluttered in the galactic wind as her aura made the very fabric of space tremble around her.

Her eyes are sharp and determined... with the blue hue.

The same shade as Zhao Tian's.

Qian Shi's heart clenched, and she stared at the woman as if drawn by her.

"I… know her…" she whispered shakily, and her voice trembled with fear.

"Lilith Maverick... The F-First Honoured One."

The bane of the Heavens.

'But how… why am I seeing this…?'

Qian Shi gasped and her body convulsed as pain lanced through her skull again.

But more than pain… she felt familiarity. Recognition.

These weren't just visions.

They were memories.

More images flashed...

Her fingers dug into the floor as she gasped again and her vision flickered like a broken mirror reflecting multiple lives at once.

Memories rushed into her mind like a flood breaching its dam.

Voices. Faces.

A gentle smile from a woman with amethyst eyes and long golden hair. A man cloaked in black flames with his hand resting atop her head fondly.

"Eleanor," the woman whispered, brushing her daughter's hair.

"Mother… Father…" Qian Shi choked out.

But they weren't her parents.

They were Eleanor's, the First Heavenly One's.

"No… wait…"

She fell fully to the floor, and her face pressed against the cold stone.

"No… what is this… who… who am I?" she whispered hoarsely and her breath trembled.

'Why am I getting the First Heavenly One's memories?'

The memories wouldn't stop.

Battles. Betrayals. Coronation as the first Heavenly One. Endless years of divine duty. Watching the rise and fall of civilizations.

Her fingers curled into the floor as she struggled to breathe and cold sweat soaked her back.

"I… I am the First Heavenly One…?" she whispered in utter shock.

She was Eleanor, the one who stood against Lilith Maverick, the First Honoured One.

The woman who had led the heavens at their genesis, shaped the laws of divine balance, and vanished mysteriously from all records.

The woman who had died… or so everyone believed.

Her trembling hand clutched her chest as the pain finally began to subside. But her body still trembled under the aftershocks of truth.

Then she sat up slowly, pressing her back against the pillar and her eyes trembled with disbelief.

"I… am her."

Eleanor Di Laurentia.

The First Heavenly One.

She let out a shuddering gasp, staring at her own hands like they belonged to someone else.

'There was never a Second Heavenly One...'

She closed her eyes, wincing in pain 'Meeting the Honoured One has triggered my soul and memories it seems...'

The memories of Eleanor and Qian Shi are clashing inside her mind.

'Or... is it because Zhao Tian has soul shards of Eleanor, that is reacting with me?'

Huh? But then Qian Shi's eyes widened in realization.

It's been so long that she forgot the memories of her earlier days.

All she remembers is that she is the Heavenly One, the face of Zhao Tian... and half of her soul is missing.

'Somehow my soul and memories are split from me during the battle with the first Honoured One... and only my body and half of my soul remains.'

'With no memories, I gave myself a new name, Qian Shi and thought the First heavenly One is dead and considered myself as the Second Heavenly One...'

'But in truth, the first Heavenly One was never dead...'

She clutched her head 'The First Heavenly One was split by the First Honoured One during the battle... my memories, my body and soul.'

'And some of my remaining souls shards are in Zhao Tian's hand.'

She remembers Ji Shuang's words 'He wants to revive Yao Jing, so he is collecting Elanor's soul shards and memories.'

'Ughh... this is messed up.'

'Am I Qian Shi or Eleanor?'
