Husband, Spend Some Gold Coins

Chapter 90 - II

After riding in the car for more than half an hour, they finally arrived near Qin family’s house.

Xie Qi still had some sense of safety and didn’t let the driver take him directly to the door. The rest of the way wasn’t far, and it took him about ten minutes to walk to the big iron gate of the manor.

The maid came to open the door, welcomed him in, and asked in confusion, “Young master, why are you the only one coming back?”

Xie Qi said something casually and went straight to the bedroom.

Qin Yizhi’s beadroom was connected to the living room. It had a large space and good lighting. However, because it was evening, the room was a little dark, so Xie Qi turned on the lights.

He searched around but couldn’t find the photo Yao Wenzhu had mentioned.

He finally lost his temper and sent a message to Qin Yizhi: [Honey, are you interested in photography?]

Qin Yizhi took a while to reply: [No.]

Xie Qi: [Really?]

Qin Yizhi: [Yeah.]

He seemed to notice something and asked, [Did you really going back to get the badminton racket?]

Xie Qi replied, [Yes.]

Xie Qi had a straightforward temper. He wanted to hide it, but it was difficult to keep hiding it. He wanted to ask directly, but he was also a little embarrassed. If there was a real meeting, then he really had no memory of it, it would be embarrassing.

Xie Qi had originally thought it was unlikely, but the small details Yao Wenzhu had said were right, so he couldn’t help but not believe it.

After all, Yao Wenzhu’s home was in A City, and there was indeed a chance that he and Qin Yizhi had met.

Didn’t these clues match up?

But Xie Qi didn’t understand why Qin Yizhi had said he didn’t know him, even though he had known him.

Anyway, he was embarrassed to ask.

Xie Qi thought that Qin Yizhi also had a study, so he asked a maid. The maid said, “Only the young master and the housekeeper can enter Mr. Qin’s study. We can’t even go in for cleaning.”

Well, the study was inaccessible. Xie Qi couldn’t take Qin Yizhi into the study with him, so there was no chance of finding it on his own.

Xie Qi felt a little aggrieved. He immediately called Qin Yizhi as soon as his brain twitched. Qin Yizhi answered the call quickly, “Is something wrong?”

Xie Qi asked directly, “Can I come into your study?”

Qin Yizhi asked Xie Qi in a deep voice, “Why do you want to enter the study?”

Xie Qi said bravely, “…I want to see your study.”

Qin Yizhi: “I want to hear the truth.”

“…” Xie Qi said, “I want to see if there are any photos of me in your study.”

Qin Yizhi: “!”

He was silent for a while and then said in a low voice, “Ask the housekeeper for the key.”

Xie Qi was stunned and said in disbelief, “You let me in?”

Qin Yizhi said in a calm tone, “You can go in if you want. After all, it is your home too.”

After hearing this, Xie Qi felt an unspeakable feeling in his heart, and his voice couldn’t help but lower, “…Are you for real? Can I really go in?”

Qin Yizhi: “Yeah.”

Xie Qi felt that his attitude was quite strange. Since he had asked for Qin Yizhi’s consent, he wouldn’t look back.

He asked the housekeeper for the key, opened the door to the study, and with the phone in his ear, he talked to Qin Yizhi, “Since you let me in, just tell me where you put the photos.”

Qin Yizhi replied, “…there are 36 books in the third row from the left on the bookshelf.”

Xie Qi got a thick photo album as he had been told. He opened it and saw that it was full of scenery photos. But as he flipped through it, people gradually started to appear. Some were foreigners, and most of them were old men. There were also some middle-aged men and women, with few young and beautiful ones. The photographer took pictures of them as if they were recording a kind of scenery.

Finally, Xie Qi turned to his own photo. He was talking to the person next to him, squinting slightly and smiling, with a face that looked a bit childish. He was also wearing a white splattered printed T-shirt—this piece of clothing he had an impression of, as he wore it for three years in junior high school.

So that was it, Xie Qi thought. He was just a scenery photographed by Qin Yizhi.

Qin Yizhi asked in a low voice, “Have you found it?”

Xie Qi said slowly, “Found it.”

Qin Yizhi’s throat was slightly astringent, and his voice was slightly hoarse. “You can ask whatever you want.”

Xie Qi spoke unceremoniously, “You also said you don’t understand photography. If you don’t understand, why do you take photos with symmetrical compositions?”

Qin Yizhi: “…”

Xie Qi continued, “Look at the character you photographed. Either it occupies the middle, and the surrounding scenery is wrapped around the character, or it has a symmetrical structure. You still pretend not to understand.”

Perhaps feeling that his words were too intense, Xie Qi softened his tone and said to Qin Yizhi, “But your photography skills are still very good. We will have time to talk more in common.”

Qin Yizhi: “…”
