Hunting MILFs in a Trash Eroge

Chapter 86: Elemental Resonance(A-rank)

Even though none of them were direct offensive skills, Damien didn't mind in the slightest.

Offense wouldn't be too much of a problem for him, especially with his current stats.

Combined with his class ability, he could always balance out his lack of direct attack skills.

He thought briefly of the other options he'd seen earlier—the elemental skills, the flashy ones that promised destruction through lightning or flame. He had skipped all of them deliberately.

He could have bought Lightning Spear, or even its upgraded version, Exploding Lightning Spear. But as the thought passed through his mind, a faint chuckle escaped his lips.

There was simply no point.

His class already gave him [Elemental Control]. That alone rendered most of those elemental skills redundant.

With Elemental control, he could freely conjure and control not just one, but all elements.

Why would he waste Hunter points on another elemental skill when he already had such an all round skill?

Fire, lightning, wind — they were all available to him as long as he had mana to spare. He didn't need to be limited to one attribute when he could wield them all at will.

Still, there was one small thing that made him frown — something that lingered in the back of his mind even as he looked over his new purchases.

The System Shop, despite its wide variety, still didn't have any S-rank skills listed.

That fact alone left him slightly disappointed.

He tilted his head, crossing his arms loosely as his eyes drifted across the system tabs.

Though he already possessed three of them, they were all charm-based skills tied to his MILF Hunter system. Useful, certainly, but not in battle.

A soft sigh escaped him again, his expression flattening into one of mild disappointment.

'At least this is better than nothing,' he thought finally.

The four new skills he had just purchased were enough for now. They filled the exact gaps he needed. S-rank skills could come later—and when they did, he would be ready for them.

The notifications finally vanished with a flick of his fingers.

He checked his remaining points briefly.

After purchasing these four skills, the total number below had changed drastically. The previous six-figure number was now reduced, leaving only a smaller figure glowing faintly at the bottom of his status window.

[Hunter Points: 26,580]

He stared at the number for a moment, expression unreadable.

Though it was significantly less than before, it didn't bother him too much.

He had spent every point wisely, making sure not to waste his chances.

'System,' he called inwardly. 'Open item shop.'

Another set of tabs materialised before him, and after reading through them, Damien finally decided on his choice.

'Purchase item.'

[You have purchased Elemental Resonance(A-rank)!]

Immediately, a sword appeared within the air, hovering for a few seconds before dropping.

Damien's hand moved instinctively, catching it mid-air with a smooth motion.

He stared at the weapon in his hands, which was still covered in its sheath.

Its sheath was pitch black, with thin, yellow lines running along the surface like veins.

Damien turned it slightly in his hand, watching how the faint yellow lines followed the motion, tracing along the sheath in mesmerizing arcs.

The handle of the sword shared the same pitch-black design, perfectly matching the sheath.

Damien then gently gripped the handle, and the moment he did, a strange surge rushed through him, spreading from his palm all through his body in an instant.

It wasn't painful — rather, it was intense, sharp, and exhilarating.

Damien shifted his stance slightly, his right hand pressing lightly against the sheath as his left hand gripped the handle.

Slowly, he began to draw the blade out.

The sound of metal sliding free filled the air, carrying a strangely soothing tone.

The dark sheath released the sword almost reluctantly, as though it recognized the hand that now wielded it.

When the blade finally came free, Damien's eyes immediately widened.

A smooth, pitch-black blade gleamed before him, perfectly reflecting the faint light around the room.

Unlike normal steel, this blade seemed to absorb light rather than reflect it, giving it a hauntingly elegant presence.

Across its surface, faint yellow lines stretched in thin, uneven patterns.

They looked like cracks spreading across tempered glass, glowing dimly.

Despite the cracked appearance, the sword itself looked flawless.

The yellow lines weren't flaws but rather part of its design—intricate veins of energy running through its core, pulsing faintly with every second.

It was… beautiful.

Even though it carried an ominous air, Damien couldn't take his eyes off it. The craftsmanship was unlike anything he had ever seen—the kind of artistry that felt ancient and beyond human.

He turned the blade slightly, observing how the yellow veins shimmered faintly under his movement.

The edge of the blade glowed faintly, its surface so sharp it almost hurt to look at.

He could tell with just a glance that it was sharp enough to cut through solid steel like paper.

[Elemental Resonance(A-rank)]

[Description: A powerful blade known for its incredible sharpness, lightness and toughness. Grants 80% boost in mana, and 60% reduction in mana consumption. Has high resonance and affinity with all elements, can also greatly boost elemental power.]

Damien's lips curved upward into a smirk as he read through the glowing text again.

This sword… it was perfect for him.

Everything about it matched his fighting style, his abilities, and his class.

Especially as a Spellblade, it was as though the weapon had been designed specifically for him—a perfect extension of both his physical and magical prowess.

The moment his eyes lingered again on the part of the description mentioning "Grants 80% boost in mana, and 60% reduction in mana consumption," a low chuckle escaped him.

He could hardly believe how absurdly powerful that was.

And on top of that, a sixty percent reduction in mana consumption meant that every spell, every technique, every enhancement he used would now cost less than half what it normally did.

The earlier surge he had felt, was simply his mana skyrocketing in response to the weapon's effect.

He turned his gaze back to the blade, admiring its dark surface one more time.

It had costed him nearly all he had left to purchase this weapon, a whopping twenty-five thousand points!

[Hunter Points: 2580]

All he had remaining now was a measly 2580 points.

But Damien didn't regret it.

The Elemental Resonance blade was the most expensive item in the shop, and now that he held it, he understood why.

With a smooth motion, he lifted the weapon and carefully slid it back into its sheath.

The blade fit perfectly, sliding in with a soft metallic whisper. The faint yellow veins on both the blade and sheath pulsed in sync one last time before dimming completely.

The moment it was fully sheathed, the entire sword shimmered faintly, then vanished in a single flash of light into his inventory.

'An A-rank sword...' Damien thought, still in disbelief he now possessed such a powerful weapon.

In this world, A-rank weapons or items were considered legendary.

They were rare—extremely rare — often treated as priceless treasures. Only nobles, high-ranking hunters, or royal knights could ever hope to possess such artifacts.

Their power was unrivaled, their value beyond imagination.

And yet, now, he—a supposed nobody—held one effortlessly.

If others learned that someone like him possessed an A-rank weapon, it would cause chaos.

The nobles would fight tooth and nail to seize it from him—some out of greed, others out of fear.

To them, someone of his rank, someone without status or lineage, having something that valuable was unthinkable.
