The contestants from both teams were seated in their respective positions, preparing for the hero selection phase of the game.
"Yasuo, are you sure about this? If not, let Schwi take over!"
On one side, Gilgamesh turned to Yasuo beside him and asked bluntly. Hearing Gilgamesh's words, Yasuo responded with a confident expression.
"Don't worry, leave it to me! I've been practicing Yasuo like crazy lately—I've perfected him!"
"Alright, let's see… Team RB bans Yasuo as their first pick!"
Yasuo: "..."
Gilgamesh: "..."
"Wait, do you… even know how to play other heroes?"
"This... no," Yasuo stammered, shaking his head frantically.
Seeing this, Gilgamesh felt an immediate headache.
"Damn it! I want a substitution!"
"It's already hero selection—no substitutions allowed," the referee declared.
Gilgamesh let out a deep sigh of frustration.
"Fine. We're playing 4-protect-1 anyway. No way we lose with that!" he said, exhaling as the game began.
The lineup:
- Top: Volibear.
- Mid: Yone.
- Bot lane: Lulu and Xayah.
- Jungle: Lee Sin.
It was a fairly standard lineup, and the match quickly kicked off with both sides diving straight into action. The battles were intense—until suddenly:
"First blood!"
All at once, four pairs of eyes darted to Yasuo, and collectively, the team sighed.
Mikoto: "Forget it. I'm used to this."
Sora: "It's fine. Leave it to me—we'll win this, no matter what."
Shiro: "Yeah, just let us handle it."
Moments later:
"Attention, everyone! Yasuo is a liability—focus him down!"
"Got it!"
The entire team's energy shifted into overdrive. Yet, despite RJ's efforts, the tide of battle quickly turned into a one-sided massacre.
Top lane: Two towers down in ten minutes!
Bot lane: The inhibitor turret was breached in ten minutes!
Jungle: Two dragons secured!
Mid lane: Yone camped defensively under the tower, refusing to engage!
"Yes, that's right—Yone has gone full turtle mode!"
Commentary erupted from the crowd:
"Wow! Sister Biribiri is incredible! She's completely shutting down the enemy top laner!"
"Forget Sister Biribiri, look at the Blank lane! Teemo's taking on two or three players at a time—what kind of madness is this?"
"Gilgamesh's macro play is also on point!"
And then, someone cheered:
"Yasuo! Come on! You've got this—we believe in you!"
Encouraged by their words, ten minutes later, the game officially concluded.
The First Game: 1:0
In the second game, Schwi replaced Yasuo, and the match turned into complete domination. The opposing team attempted to play defensively to withstand the pressure, but the skill gap was insurmountable under such an overwhelming advantage.
In just thirty minutes, the kill score was 15:1. The only casualty on their side was Gilgamesh, who was caught off guard in an ambush.
In the third game, the opponent no longer banned Yasuo. Filled with confidence, Yasuo showcased his so-called "200 games of mastery" with Hero Yasuo. However, the result was a humiliating 1/7/2 performance, which left him fuming to the point of nearly challenging the opposing player to a real-life duel.
Fortunately, the team still secured the win. The final score: 3:0. This absolute victory sparked cheers from everyone present.
When Gilgamesh received the trophy from the presenter, he examined it with a look of disdain.
"What a crude thing," he remarked.
Hearing this, the audience was momentarily speechless. In truth, compared to the grandeur of Gilgamesh's past experiences with the Holy Grail, this alloy trophy did seem rather unimpressive.
"Many of us are huge fans of yours. How about sending a representative to deliver a victory speech?"
The host approached Gilgamesh enthusiastically, brimming with excitement. He was already imagining tomorrow's headlines—the match would undoubtedly be splashed across every major platform. For the host, this was an opportunity to raise his own status, and the thought made him giddy. He even considered taking a photo with the victors, knowing it would significantly boost his own worth. But then...
"Tch. This king only speaks to his own people. As for you random peasants…"
"Well, thank you, Gilgamesh, for your speech!" the host interrupted hastily, deftly changing the topic. 'If I actually let him finish, wouldn't I be cursed out of existence?'
The host quickly turned to another pair of players. "Blank, hello! Many of us here are huge fans of yours. Do you have anything you'd like to say to everyone?"
Sora: "There's nothing much to say. Isn't it normal for us to win a match at this level?"
Shiro: "Um..."
"Alright! Let's give another round of applause for Blank!"
Then, turning to Yasuo, the host asked, "Mr. Yasuo, what are your thoughts on today's victory with the four-protect-one strategy?"
Clearly, the host wasn't skilled at framing questions.
