Chapter 380: Chapter 382: The Eternal Eighteen, Yakumo Yukari
"You! Put Fran down!" Remilia shouted furiously at Alexander. She had tried to pull Fran away, but failed miserably. Yet, to her dismay…
Alexander calmly turned his head, ignoring her outburst, as if he hadn't heard a word.
'Are you kidding me? I'm not some pushover. If I let go just because you told me to, wouldn't that be humiliating?'
In fact, instead of releasing Little Fran, Alexander tightened his hold and smiled. "Little Fran, how about big brother takes you out to play?"
"Ah? No, my sister won't let Fran go outside."
Though Fran adored Alexander, she knew her sister's stance on leaving the basement.
'How terrifying is Fran's strength?' A tiny basement, a fragile door—if Fran wanted to leave, nothing could stop her. But she understood one thing clearly: her sister didn't allow it, so she never tried.
"Oh… your sister won't let you leave, huh? Then... I'll take you away myself."
Without hesitation, Alexander activated a teleportation magic circle beneath his feet. In an instant, he vanished, taking Little Fran with him.
Remilia's eyes widened in horror as they disappeared. Her mind raced, filled with one terrifying thought:
'It's over!'
Fran had escaped.
In her mind's eye, she envisioned Fran going on a violent rampage. One master after another would appear to stop her. Her sister, once unleashed, might be suppressed—or worse, killed.
"Nooooo!!! Sakuya! Quickly! Go find Fran!"
"Miss, please don't worry. Second Miss will be fine with Alexander."
Sakuya tried to reassure her, though Remilia's panic was evident. At the mention of Alexander's name, Remilia froze for a moment, realizing that this was the man Sakuya had spoken of earlier.
"Wait, 'that's' the Alexander you were talking about? Never mind that! We have to find Fran immediately!"
"Understood, Miss!"
Without wasting a moment, Sakuya dashed off to summon Patchouli(Head Librarian), Koakuma(Assistant Librarian), and Hong Meiling(Door Guard). As she ran, she muttered under her breath, "That Alexander sure knows how to cause trouble!"
Meanwhile, on a serene, beautiful plain, Alexander appeared holding Little Fran in his arms.
Suddenly finding herself outside the basement, Fran's expression shifted from excitement to anxiety.
"This... Big Brother, if we leave here, my sister will be angry!"
Little Fran's voice trembled slightly, nervous about the consequences. Alexander, however, simply chuckled. Gently stroking her head, he replied,
"Don't worry. Your sister only keeps you locked up because she's afraid you might hurt others or that others might hurt you. But if you can control your power and receive the right guidance, you'll be fine."
As he spoke, Alexander suddenly recalled the importance of controlling Fran's power. 'I'm not afraid of Fran because I'm strong, but what about everyone else? What if her emotions spiral out of control, and she starts killing again? That would be... problematic.'
With that thought, Alexander turned to the system.
"System, do you have anything that can help control Fran's power?"
Ding!
"Master, the system has prepared a professional sealing magic circle tailored to your needs. Engraving this magic circle on her body will seal her power, allowing it to be released only when necessary."
"Sounds useful. But... it must be expensive, right?"
"Not at all! Not 18,000, not 1,800—only 998 points! And if you buy now, you'll get a free gift!"
Alexander sighed. "System, have you been watching corny live streams lately?"
System: "..."
"Master, does this mean you're not interested in buying?"
"No, it's just... embarrassing."
System: "..."
"Fine. 999 points for the sealing technique."
"I'll take it."
"Good choice, Master."
The moment the system confirmed the purchase, a surge of knowledge about the sealing technique filled Alexander's mind. Following this newfound knowledge, Alexander carefully traced a few symbols onto the back of Little Fran's hand, successfully sealing her power.
Fran gazed curiously at the intricate magic circle on her hand, tilting her head in confusion. She noticed something immediately: the countless "eyes" she used to see were gone.
"Big Brother, I can't see those strange eyes anymore. Does that mean my sister won't lock me up again?" Little Fran asked, her voice full of innocent hope.
"Exactly," Alexander reassured her with a warm smile. "From now on, you won't have to be locked up in that small basement."
Satisfied, Alexander nodded to himself. But just as he was basking in the moment, a figure silently emerged from the void behind him.
"Impressive," a calm voice remarked. "This little girl has always been a volatile presence in Gensokyo. I didn't expect you to solve the issue so easily."
Alexander turned slowly toward the voice. A beautiful girl with flowing blonde hair, dressed in white and holding a parasol, stepped forward from the shadows.
The moment he saw her, Alexander grinned knowingly. He recognized her instantly.
'Isn't this the eternally eighteen of Gensokyo—Yakumo Yukari?'
