Chapter 353: Chapter 354: Hammering a God online! (2)
"You, as a God King, are indeed powerful, but unfortunately, it's still far too difficult to win against me," Alexander said, thinking he was being modest. It wasn't out of humility, but rather a reflection of his confident nature.
However, Alexander didn't realize that such words came across as blatant arrogance to Melqart.
"Arrogant! Then feel the wrath of a god!" Melqart roared, and with a swift movement, a massive bolt of lightning pierced the sky, descending rapidly toward Alexander.
Seeing the lightning, Alexander couldn't help but shake his head in mild exasperation.
"Haven't you learned anything? Did you forget what happened to the God of War when he tried to strike me with lightning yesterday?" Alexander sighed. Well, it seems my lightning power is going to get even stronger today. Although I'm not sure how much it has grown, I doubt thunder and lightning will ever have an effect on me again.
With that thought, Alexander moved swiftly!
Crackling~
The lightning struck Alexander's outstretched hand. But against Alexander's mastery over lightning, this attack was far from being powerful enough to break through his control.
"As I said, lightning is useless against me." With a casual wave of his hand, Alexander played with the bolt of lightning as if it were a ball.
"Oh? Your control over lightning has reached this level already?" Melqart remarked, shaking his head. While thunder and lightning were ineffective, Melqart knew he possessed powers far greater than just thunder!
"Is it my turn now?" Alexander's voice suddenly rang in Melqart's ears. Melqart tried to react, but before he could, a massive ice hammer struck his face with tremendous force!
Boom!
Melqart's huge body was sent flying, skidding across the ground and leaving a deep trench in its wake.
The once-mighty God King had been knocked down by a single blow from Alexander!
The viewers in the live broadcast room were momentarily stunned by what they had just witnessed.
"Wait, does the God of War's power include ice?"
"Are you kidding? If it did, I would have known about it. The God of War never had the power to use ice!"
"Then what's going on? Can someone explain this?"
"I don't know, but why bother analyzing it? Just admit it—Lord Alexander is amazing!"
The audience was clearly in awe of Alexander's strength, and even Melqart, still reeling from the blow, was taken aback by the turn of events.
"Damn it! Why aren't you using the God of War's power!!" Melqart slowly rose to his feet, visibly shaken. He had always viewed Alexander as the inheritor of the God of War's power, never imagining that this man would possess so many unexpected abilities!
"Why should I listen to you? I'll use whatever power I like~" Alexander replied provocatively. For him, the only thing that mattered was winning.
"You'll pay for this!" Melqart roared, now visibly enraged. Perhaps it was the feeling of losing face that spurred him on.
He brandished his weapon, and instantly, dark clouds gathered over the entirety of Sardinia.
The ominous clouds rolled in quickly, and when Alexander saw their true nature, he realized that they weren't clouds at all!
The dark mass was composed entirely of locusts! Alexander had nearly forgotten that Melqart was also the god of agriculture, capable of controlling the growth and death of plants at will. Locusts were one of the many forces he could command.
If these locusts were to descend upon him, Alexander's body would be stripped to the bone in moments. Though locusts typically don't eat humans, the ones summoned by Melqart were far from ordinary.
"So many of them... It's really unsettling."
Even though Alexander didn't have trypophobia, the sheer density of the swarm would send chills down anyone's spine.
At that moment, Alexander opened his mouth wide, and a torrent of flames erupted from within!
Dragon's Breath + White Stallion Sunflame!
Boom!
A colossal flame surged from Alexander's mouth, and as it filled the sky, the locust swarm was instantly consumed in a sea of fire.
The crackling of flames echoed across Sardinia, accompanied by the faint scent of burning, though no one paid any attention to it.
Because they were all utterly captivated by the scene before them!
