"I'll send someone to investigate," Shinobu said, immediately getting up to leave. Before leaving, she told Kanao, "Kanao, make a cup of tea and treat Alexander for me. He is my good friend."

Listening to Shinobu's words, Kanao tilted her head and looked at Alexander. She didn't understand when her sister Shinobu had made such a friend.

Watching the dazed Kanao, Alexander smiled. The two then sat in the living room.

The tea made by Kanao was good, and the world, which had not experienced industrial pollution, still had an advantage in this respect.

As Alexander sipped tea, Kanao picked up her Sun Wheel sword and wanted to practice outside.

Seeing Kanao about to leave, Alexander said, "From now on, you don't have to work so hard because soon, the Demon Slayer Squad will be disbanded."

Alexander's meaning was simple: he would soon solve the problem by killing Muzan. When the demons were gone, the Demon Slayer Squad would naturally disband. But, why does this sound so wrong?

Listening to Alexander's words, Kanao looked at him angrily. Seeing her expression, Alexander realized the loophole in his words.

"Don't get me wrong, I'm talking about good things."

Alexander felt he had said something very serious because even Kanao's expression had changed. Kanao, who typically showed no emotion, was visibly upset. This was enough to prove how important the Demon Slayer Squad was to her.

Alexander knew that Kanao rarely showed emotion, but her lack of expression did not mean she had no feelings. The only time her emotions had fluctuated obviously was when Shinobu was killed by Doma. This was enough to prove that Kanao cared deeply about her teammates and the Demon Slayer Squad.

"Forget it, it seems Shinobu won't be back for a while. Can you go out with me for a walk?" Alexander wanted to explore this world. It wasn't every day one got to visit another world, and he wanted to take pictures as souvenirs.

Kanao was torn. She wanted to practice swordsmanship, but her Sister Shinobu had asked her to entertain Alexander. So, she silently took out a small coin from her pocket.

Back then, she was rescued from her abusive father by Kanae and Shinobu and brought back to the Butterfly Mansion. Her past experiences made her unsure of what to do, so Kanae had given her a coin to help her make decisions. If she didn't know what to do, she would flip the coin.

Seeing Kanao's dilemma, Alexander laughed. He stretched out his hand and said, "Lend me the coin. Can I flip it for you?"

Reluctantly, Kanao handed the coin to Alexander, staring at it with her big eyes as if afraid he would lose it.

"Front means yes, back means no, right?" Alexander said, tossing the coin into the air. The coin spun and landed in his hand—heads.

Seeing this, Kanao nodded and got up to leave. However, Alexander wasn't satisfied. "Let's try again," he said, flipping the coin again. Heads.

And again, heads. Alexander kept flipping the coin, and it kept landing on heads.

Kanao was at a loss. Finally, she spoke for the first time since meeting Alexander. "Why is this happening?"
