Chapter 208: Go
"We will use your speed so that we would be able to outrun the goblins and meet Papi first. We would leave behind the monsters here, and focus on meeting Rabi." Papi said as he looked at Mabi straight in the eyes.
Papi was serious about what he said as this was the move that he thought best after calculating so many things in his mind.
Of course, he also calculated about what they would do right after meeting with Rabi and anything else that they needed to do right after meeting with him.
Papi was meticulous indeed as he even thought about what he would do right after meeting with Rabi, however, that was not the main point as asking Mabi to run at full speed to meet with Rabi in this situation was asking for too much.
Mabi just fought against Dawn and as a result, he suffered a great deal amount of damage on his body, and he was getting tired as well. Even though running was definitely Mabi's forte, asking for his full speed for a decent amount of time and distance was definitely asking for too much.
What's more, Papi also said that Mabi should use his full speed so that they would be able to get to Rabi faster than the goblins could get to their other allies or whoever they had that were destroying the fortresses around the center of the southeast of the forest.
That was definitely asking for too much, and Mabi would have to burn himself out just to run at full speed.
That was how bad his situation was, and that was also why Mabi was staring at Papi straight in the eyes.
He didn't know what to say, he didn't know what to do. He just let his thoughts roam around his mind as confusion took over his brain.
After all, there was just no way that Papi would say something like this to him.
Although Mabi really trusted Papi and would do everything that he says in any situation, this time was just too weird and bizarre that even Mabi had to think twice and think for himself before doing what Papi just told him to do.
After all, if Mabi really did do as Papi says, that would mean that Mabi would be out of gas before they even fight the goblin again, and he would be out of the fight and end up just resting on some other random place as the goblins and Rabi and Papi fight against each other.
That was basically saying that Mabi was useless for other things and that he should just use his legs for Papi to meet Rabi as soon as possible, and...that was something rude, even though they knew each other for a long time now.
"Are you saying that I should just stay out of this battle, for now, Papi?" Mabi said with a rough tone with his heavy voice.
He didn't like that Papi even suggested something like this, but...Mabi couldn't afford to be angry at Papi for something like this.
Why? It was because it was Papi. Papi was the hyena who thinks for the group, and if he said that Mabi should just run for him and then go out of battle and do whatever, that means that...it was for the group of the three legendary hyenas.
Meaning, Mabi running for Papi and then going out of battle and doing whatever he wanted was something that would benefit the group, and that was an absolute fact and truth as it was Papi who recommended it.
That was why Mabi couldn't afford to get mad at Papi as Papi was just thinking for the group's sake and its sake alone.
And it seems that was correct as Papi spoke once more as he looked at Mabi straight in the eyes.
"That's right. It was already proven in the fight before that you can't do anything against the white goblin, so it's better if you can just use your speed to make me and Rabi meet as soon as possible."
"Of course, it would be even better if you can run faster than the goblins could run towards their other allies at the fortresses or whatever."
"However, what I am asking you from now on is that you just need to make me meet Rabi, and we will take care of the rest."
"We both know that once you run out of gas, you're practically useless."
"So being in a cruel battlefield where anyone could die would just endanger your life, so this is me being considerate of you."
Papi said as he looked at Mabi straight in the eyes. His voice resounded out in Mabi's ears and his deep voice made it clear for Mabi.
It made it clear for Mabi that Papi was not hesitating or was he joking around in this situation.
It was clear as day for Mabi now that Papi was serious about this and that was why Mabi spoke again as he looked at Papi straight in the eyes.
"Alright, I will do it." Mabi said as he decided to do what Papi told him before.
Mabi would run for Papi and leave away the monsters behind in this place since that was what Papi told him, and now that Papi explained himself, it didn't take long for Mabi to end up agreeing on it.
After all, it was basically Papi being considerate of him, and that was indeed the truth as Mabi was only useful if he is with gas.
Once he runs out of gas, Mabi was just like any other monster in the forest, and that was why Mabi couldn't really say anything about this, which is perfectly reasonable as well.
As it was explained by Papi, the guy with the brains in the group of the three legendary hyenas, it was only reasonable that the reason would be reasonable.
"Just like how we run away from the river of blood?" Mabi said as he began to stretch his body and legs.
He stretched his body and legs to prepare himself. He didn't want to strain his body while running as that would beat the point of him running towards Rabi at full speed.
It wouldn't be even funny if Mabi suddenly ran out of gas and couldn't run anymore when Papi had still not met up with Rabi.
That was why Mabi was taking this stretching thing seriously as even his knees and legs started to light up with some kind of light, and this light came from Mabi's power, Faster.
Mabi's power, Faster, was a power that lets him run literally faster. This was something that Mabi created over his long years of running, and this was something that was natural to him as well.
As he was fast before in his natural form, when Mabi trained for a little bit, the Fast became Faster.
Since it was Faster, it definitely means that Faster could become the Fastest. At least, that's what Mabi thought of himself.
Anyway, when Mabi asked him how they will run together, Papi just nodded his head as he spoke, "Whatever will make you run faster and whatever you are comfortable with."
"It's not like it would be me who would be running with another hyena, right? So do whatever you want."
Indeed. What Papi said was indeed the truth. Since Mabi was the one who would be running at full speed and for a long amount of time, he should be the one to decide what position they would take when they start running.
After all, if Papi was the one to decide even in this...type of action, it would beat the point.
Papi was not the run; Mabi was. So it was only reasonable for Mabi to decide on that.
After all, it's not like Mabi was born yesterday. He should know what running form and such things he should take when running together with someone and it seems that he really does have some ideas about how he would run as he spoke again.
"Alright, I will do just that," Mabi said as he straightened up his body.
His whole body started to emit smoke now, and that smoke was being blown away by the wind.
It wasn't really that strong or thick, but the smoke was still noticeable even if one is looking at Mabi from a far away distance.
And this smoke means that Mabi's body has warmed up and he could run at full speed now.
What's more, this smoke also means that Mabi's body has regenerated to its fullest and he...used up all of his powers to do something so crazy.
After all, everything has a price, and since Papi himself said that he would just watch the forest burn from the sidelines, there was nothing to lose by using all of his powers now.
He just needed to make sure that Papi would be able to meet Rabi in the middle of the forest.
"Shall we go?" Mabi said as he looked at Papi straight in the eyes.
