Chapter 239: Chapter 236 – Battle Between Special Grade Wizards (3)
Just as Asterion finished speaking, an explosion happened not far from him, it was the fight between Ouroboros and Oyama, both Special Grade Cursed Spirits.
Looking at the scene, Asterion raised his lips, it wasn't a fight, but a one-sided massacre by Ouroboros. The Cursed Spirit called Oyama didn't stand a chance against the silver serpent. Every time he attacked it with Meteors, the meteors themselves never hit Ouroboros' body once.
Which was no surprise, after all, his snake was made to control fate and in order to break this ability, he had to spend large amounts of magical energy every time he tried to land an attack.
Oyama, who had just received a blow from the Silver Serpent's tail, had half his body shattered, he regenerated in an instant, but there was no sign of happiness on his stony face. He had less than half of his initial Negative Magic Energy and still couldn't even scratch his enemy.
Ever since he was conceived, he had never felt so angry, no matter how many attacks he launched, the enemy didn't even need to dodge, his own attacks dodged of their own accord, as if nothing could hit the damned silver serpent.
Clasping his hands together, Oyama muttered, staring coldly at the silver serpent.
"Domain Expansion - Sea of Chaotic Stars."
In an instant, black barriers rose up around two hundred meters, Oyama's own will forcing him to distort reality as a completely new world was created within the barrier.
Noticing the expanding domain, appearing and covering Ouroboros, Asterion clucked his tongue in annoyance. If there was one flaw in his Cursed Spirits, it was that they all lacked advanced intelligence and were impossible to conjure a Domain Expansion.
However, he didn't think Ouroboros would lose to a mere ordinary Special Grade Cursed Spirit, after all, he was his own masterpiece.
"Let me show you true despair in the face of your inevitable death." Asterion no longer looked at the black dome of darkness and made a seal with his hands.
From the 19 Suns above him, two completely different beings gradually emerged from the gigantic balls of darkness.
One was a gigantic humanoid being, his skin was blue and horns grew around his head, his arms were large and muscular, which would make a bodybuilder envious. Lightning and wind surrounded the gigantic, kilometer-high figure. It looked as if Zeus himself had arrived in the world once again.
Obelisk - The Tormentor.
Next to the Obelisk, a small, adorable creature floated in the air and instantly appeared on Asterion's shoulder.
"Fou!!!"
He cried out in a cute and impressively adorable tone. He looked like a mixture of squirrel and dog, his fur was white while two ears that resembled rabbits were on his head. He looked around with his innocent, harmless eyes.
Herpo looked confusedly at Asterion, he could understand the blue titan, he looked very powerful, but looking at the creature that looked like a mixture of dog, squirrel and rabbit, looking extremely adorable, no matter how he looked at it, it didn't seem like a big deal.
Stroking Fou's white fur, Asterion saw Herpo's skepticism and raised his lips in a mischievous smile tinged with a cold, sadistic feeling.
"Fou, it seems that everyone despises you." Asterion commented, his voice gentle, despite the situation he was in at the moment.
Fou was a Cursed Spirit created in his early years, but after seeing Herpo, he modified him to make Fou the Greek wizard's mortal enemy, the little boy might look cute, but he was a grotesque abomination of chaos and madness.
His ability was called Envy of Men. These characteristics created a rather special ability for Fou. - He could always exceed an opponent's strength. -
Fou blinked his innocent eyes, he looked at Herpo and instantly appeared in front of the Greek Wizard, who immediately stepped back, looking at the adorable creature cautiously.
Although he didn't know what Asterion was planning, Herpo didn't stick around to find out, if there was one thing he did know about Asterion, it was that the boy was especially studious, despite being only fourteen.
"Fou?" Seeing the Wizard walking away, Fou tilted his head to the side in confusion, but his confusion disappeared when he noticed the caution in the enemy Wizard's gaze.
In an instant, the magical aura that easily overcame Herpo exploded from Fou's small body, causing Herpo to tighten his lips.
At that moment, Herpo wanted to crack Asterion's head open and see why the boy could always come up with things that were so strange and outside normal logic. Who in their right mind would make such a monster look so adorable.
When Fou moved, Obelisk moved too, his huge body like a pillar, the winds and lightning surrounding his figure as he raised his hand.
Philip and Victor's expressions changed dramatically when they saw the giant approaching, they moved into combat position without hesitation, at the same time as their eyes wandered between the Cursed Spirit and Asterion. They watched as Clarisse died in front of them. They both didn't want to suffer the same fate.
"It's been two minutes, as long as we can last three minutes, he'll be riddled with after-effects from this strange technique of using Negative Magical Energy." Victor commented, snapping his fingers and craning his neck as he looked at both enemies.
It would be eighty years since he had fought with such great risks, but for some reason, faced with the situation, he felt young again, his heart beating faster as he showed a bright look full of anticipation for the fight against someone so powerful.
Throwing his overcoat in the air, Victor, despite being almost 150 years old, revealed himself to be a muscular and strong physique, two iron gauntlets appeared on both his arms.
"Kid, I'm assuming you already know my Innate Technique, but my Innate Technique is simple, Accumulation of Force, every blow of mine, the power of the blow doubles." Victor spoke, his eyes focused on Asterion. As for the blue giant, he left it to Philip to take care of.
Asterion raised an eyebrow at the ancient nobleman's ritual of talking about his Innate Technique before the fight. A smile appeared on Patriarch Black's lips.
"Asterion Black, Creation and Manipulation of Cursed Spirits and Imperfect Destruction of Truth. I don't need to tell you what the first one does, because the name already explains it. The second analyzes your attacks and builds a countermeasure in the form of extremely destructive red rays, reducing you to an atomic level."
The Imperfect Destruction of Truth had other abilities, such as analyzing information and arriving at results at incredible speed, but it was a primary ability.
Victor frowned listening to the two Innate Techniques, what Asterion had just said practically overturned every law and logic he had about magic, but he wasn't intimidated.
He knew that the stronger an Innate Technique was, it always came with a weakness, just like his own. Having a weakness was a natural part of the universe, the strongest could never escape this iron law created even before the Creation of the Universe.
Victor took a deep breath and got into a fighting stance, instantly disappearing from where he was and reappearing in front of Patriarch Black.
Asterion just blinked and saw a punch covered by a gauntlet in front of him. He raised his arms in defense of the punch, but the force of it wasn't even enough to push him back.
Attacking with his sword, Asterion made a horizontal slash, which Victor easily deflected with quick reflexes and returned the attack with a punch. Asterion used his sword to block the attack, causing sparks to fly in the air around him.
Blow after blow, sword versus gauntlet. Each impact was enough to sink a twenty-storey building with ease.
As he used his sword to dodge another attack, Asterion noticed the gap in fighting experience between him and Victor. The man had relentless attacks and no flashy or flowery moves, every attack was for the kill. The man's footwork was something Asterion had never seen in his life. It was so random and effective that it was hard to predict.
Stepping back, Asterion looked at his trembling hands and couldn't help but cluck his tongue in admiration. If Victor's first attack had been worth one strength, it had now multiplied countless times. This was such a huge amount of force that each blow seemed to break his arms.
Even so, Asterion didn't think that this powerful Innate Technique was without its weaknesses. To accumulate such a large amount of strength, Victor's body would have to be very resistant, and once the limit was exceeded, wounds were inflicted on the wizard's body.
Asterion looked at Victor. The man was breathing heavily, releasing a large amount of steam from his mouth, his gaze fixed on him. He noticed that after the tenth blow, Victor's power didn't increase, showing that he had stopped doubling his strength, probably not using his Innate Technique anymore.
