Chapter 128: off to another world and another dream(chapter 127)
Chapter 127
"You had your chance," he said, his voice still calm, still composed. "Now, it's my turn." He held her down before Grey asked, "Rachel, drain her blood, please." Rachel got up and did just that, saying, "Huh. Guess that mutation was worth it." As she drained Erzsebet's blood, before gray finished her off but rachel had nothing to say as he killed her. Grey was surprised and said, "She must have been a monster, given that you are letting me do this." Rachel sighed as she replied, "I have no mercy for murderers."
Grey returned to his human form before taking the blood. Everyone else, aside from the vampires who were long gone, looked at the strange couple that had just taken down a creature who drank the blood of a goddess. They were rendered speechless. "So what's next? Do we go back to the wizarding world?" Rachel asked as she stood beside Grey. "No, I still need more materials. It's time I started to think about the final potion," he said, making Rachel pause.
"But didn't you just reach demigod grade? God grade should be far off, right?" she asked. Grey shrugged and said, "It is far off, but you should know by now—" He paused as he took out the TARDIS, expanding it to its full size, much to the amusement of everyone present. "I like to prepare several steps ahead." Alucard mumbled, "And here I thought my moving castle was a wonder, but mine is much bigger." Grey, who heard it, ignored him, while Rachel smiled.
"Really, I thought you charged ahead with a nonchalant attitude, you know, thinking about it when you got there mentally?" she chuckled. Grey quickly ruined the mood by saying, "That was until you died." He entered the TARDIS with Rachel following him although just a bit sad as she didnt like the fact that gray was losing part of himself because of her, but before leaving, he peeked his head out and threw a small potion toward Maria, who caught it.
"That should help you summon stronger monsters. Use it wisely," he yelled before waving goodbye. Everyone else was too stunned by what had just happened. In fact, they were so stunned that Tera finally spoke, saying, "What in the fucking Jesus' name just happened?" But then again, everyone was too stunned to speak.
-scene change-
The TARDIS could be seen flying high up in the empty cosmic webs of space, with nebulas and countless stars passing by them. The surroundings looked breathtaking, a masterpiece of celestial beauty with vibrant colors dancing across the vastness of space. On the observatory glass below the captain's deck, Grey and Rachel watched the stars in silence. Breaking the quiet, Grey spoke, "We must be traveling to a very distant place, given how far we are from the wizarding world." Rachel nodded in agreement, "Yeah, it must be quite far, but it's allowing us to watch this scenery, which I am quite happy about."
Rachel then rotated her head so that she laid down where her legs were, giving her the perfect view of the distant stars, and Grey did the same. Both lay there silently, their white hair sprawled on the cold but comfortable wooden floor. "What is wrong?" she asked as Grey turned his head towards her. "What do you mean?" he asked. She hesitated before saying, "I don't know. You seem distant for some reason. You are not, you know..." She hinted for him to finish her sentence, but all she got was a confused look from him.
"I am not what?" he repeated her query, making her hesitate before saying, "You are not hitting on me, you know." She paused before asking, "Are you mad at me? Did I say or do something wrong?" She seemed panicked—literally—until Grey burst into laughter. "Did I do something wrong?" she asked again as Grey sighed before pulling her into his embrace. "I am just being patient," he said, taking a deep breath. Rachel seemed to calm down, but as she tried to wiggle her way out, he simply said, "Don't worry, I am not trying to do anything. Just stay like this for a second." which she accepted as they stayed like that for a while before he asked, "Were you worried?" to which Rachel answered, "No," though it was clearly a lie. They stayed like that for minutes more before Grey fell asleep, only to wake up in the body of another Grey—Grey Snape, to be exact.
Grey Knight found himself inside the body of an older Grey Snape, probably in his late teens. His hair was long and black with red streaks. "Fuck," Grey Knight swore in his mind as he watched everything from Grey Snape's perspective without being able to do anything, like a mere passenger. He observed as Grey Snape finished showering, dried himself, and looked into the mirror. His reflection displayed a chiseled body with high-definition muscles—not too bulky but a perfect balance of lean and strength. A red snake tattoo coiled around his back, wrapping onto his chest, its tail ending on the lower part of his stomach. Just then, Hermione entered the bathroom, wrapping her hands around Grey Snape. "What are you doing?" she asked. "I was just drying myself," he responded as she kissed his back, attempting to reach into his groin area.
Grey Snape stopped her, saying, "We have an ancient temple to ravage." Hermione moaned softly into his ear. "Really? Because I was hoping you would ravage something else," she teased, making Grey scoff before removing her hands. "Come on, we have work to do," he said, chasing her out of the bathroom. As they exited into their office, they saw a single figure. Clad in simple black leather armor designed to dampen sound, the intruder wore a mask made of dull steel with no facial features. Their cloak shimmered faintly, allowing them to blend into the shadows. They were ravaging through paperwork, searching for something. Immediately, Grey Snape and Hermione reacted, casting wandless and non-verbal spells. However, the figure blended into the shadows, using enhanced agility—to evade them.
Gray Snape and Hermione moved in unison, hands snapping up with silent precision. Raw, potent magic surged through the air, invisible yet crackling with intent. Gray Snape's fingers curled subtly, and a wandless Stupefy shot forward, a concentrated blast of concussive force aimed directly at the intruder's chest. At the same time, Hermione unleashed Incarcerous, conjuring spectral ropes from thin air, which lashed toward the intruder like striking vipers.
The figure, however, was no amateur. With inhuman reflexes, they twisted, their form seeming to distort as they melted into the surrounding shadows. Gray Snape's stunning spell struck the desk instead, blasting it into splinters, while Hermione's ropes coiled around nothing but air. The assassin had vanished.
A whisper of movement—Gray barely caught it in his peripheral vision. He pivoted just in time, throwing up a shield charm as a dagger coated in a glistening alchemical poison shot toward his throat. The blade bounced off his barrier with a sharp clang, but the moment of distraction cost him. The assassin reappeared behind Hermione, striking low. She barely had time to spin, deflecting the attack with a hastily conjured Protego, but the force of the strike sent her skidding back, toppling a chair in the process.
