“But I want to work on this project!”

“You’ve got a pretty bad attitude for someone who wants to work with you.”

I prodded, and he opened his mouth in exasperation.

“What’s wrong with him?

He was capable of working, he was driven, and he was got a good attitude. Were you going to criticize him because he didn’t greet me properly, or because he spoke back?

What did that have to do with the research?

As long as he was good at his job, he was good at his job! You were going to turn down someone as talented as me just because of that?

It seemed that Yu was a huge meritocrat. He didn’t understand that his attitude had gotten him kicked out.

“We need to communicate with each other to do our jobs properly. You’re so good, but you don’t know that basic thing?”

From her years of experience, Hee-Na knew all too well how frustrating it can be to work with a no-nonsense, bossy style.

“They may be easy for you, but they’re a pain in the ass to deal with!

Judging by his sarcasm, this alchemist named Han Yuhan had zero social skills and had a personality disorder.

He was the worst person to have as a coworker.

“Anyway, the head of HR said he’ll take care of it, so pack up and get out.”

He pointed to the door and announced.

At the stern tone of his voice, Yu Yunyi’s chewed his lip.

He could read her thoughts. She wanted to do this job, but her pride didn’t want to be bent again.

Hee-Na pouted and grumbled to herself.

‘If I keep this up, I’m going to be so proud of myself that I’m going to walk out of here…………

“I’m sorry. I don’t know what set you off so badly, but if you teach me, I won’t do it again.”

Hee-Na rolled her eyes at the meek apology.

Even though it was a bad way to say it, she hadn’t expected to hear it from a personality disorder.

Taking Hee-Na’s bewildered reaction in stride, Yu Yunyi’s -Yi chuckled and eventually snapped.

“Are your ears plugged? Mi, I’m sorry!”

Shamelessly saying sorry was a skill, if not a talent.

But despite his rude tone, I could tell that his pride had been wounded by the way the skin on his face, from his earlobes to his face to his neck, was reddening.

“You must be curious about your spinach.

Hee-Na smirked.

She felt like she had won a nervous battle with a bad-tempered wild animal. It was exhilarating.

“If you wanted to work with me so badly, you’d be good at it.”

“……profit!”

Another poke and I could see the veins popping out of Yu Yunyi’s ‘s forehead.

“Well, but he apologized, so I’ll give him a pass.”

Hee-Na graciously accepted his apology.

Yu Yunyi’s expression brightened slightly.

“Instead!”

He held up a finger in front of him.

“I’ll watch your attitude for two weeks, and if I don’t think you’re compatible with me, I’ll ask you to replace me with someone else.”

It was a conditional end.

As nice as Hee-Na was, she wasn’t going to change her mind after hearing a mere apology.

Her voice was almost pleading.

But Hee-Na shook her head firmly.

“No, I can’t. You can’t look at the spinach until I clean up my mess.”

“I didn’t make a mess, I just set up the right environment for my research……!”

“Quick!”

Yu Yunyi’s eyebrows furrowed at Hee-Na’s insistence.

“……Alright.”

He trudged toward the kitchen.

His back was a far cry from the triumphant figure of a few minutes ago.

The next day, Yu yunyi came to Hee-Na’s office, looking much more withered.

The stony-faced greeting seemed to have paid off yesterday.

Hee-Na and Yu-Yi sat across from each other at the office desk, looking just as they had yesterday.

She had a point. Hee-Na nodded.

Yu Yunyi’s anyi explained her plan in a still coy, but somewhat cerebral manner.

First, he said that he had brought a simple potion-brewing kit with him today, so he would try to brew the potion here.

“I can brew a potion in about an hour with the simple brewing kit. You can cook in the meantime. You can make something in an hour, right?”

“Sure. If I boil water, it takes me less than ten minutes to chop spinach.”

“Okay, then let’s get started.”

Today was relatively quiet compared to yesterday, except for a brief ruckus as Yu Yunyi’s Yi searched for a place to set up the potion-making kit in Hee Na’s kitchen.

Hee-Na glanced at Yu Yunyi’s work with disapproval.

Dull, dirty potion-making equipment sat on a tidy Irish kitchen table.

It was the space she had given up to cry and eat mustard because she had to make room for Yu Yunyi’s to work.

“If you cross the line, I’ll throw it all away.”

Hee-Na let go of her grip. What she gave up was only half of a large island dining table.

Instead, she drew a line on the table and told them that anything that crossed it would be thrown away.

“Chit. Chit.”

“What did you just say?”

“I said, ‘Thank you for letting me research …….'”

Yu Yunyi’s replied, not at all grateful.

He was finely chopping the two spinach roots that Hee-Na had handed him.

He checked the digital watch on his wrist and scribbled something in his notebook in between.

Dressed in a dark robe and fiddling with unknown gadgets, Yu looked at first glance like an evil wizard from a fairy tale.

Hee-Na watched him for a moment, then washed her hands thoroughly at the sink.

“Shall I get started?

Cleanliness is the foundation of cooking. She washed her hands and put on an apron and headband.

A message flashed in front of my eyes.

“Done.”

Hee-Na finished the three dishes in no time.

The spinach marinade, spinach miso soup, and spinach frittata took her only 30 minutes to make, as she’d been making them over and over again for days.

Once again, the ranks and effects of foods are arbitrary. The spinach frittata was even ranked lower than usual, with a B rating.

“The results are all over the place”.

We didn’t know what was causing the jagged results.

But it seemed clear that the higher the percentage increase or the more add-ons, the higher the ranking.

‘They should all be ranked S. It’s a pity.

Hee-na frowned.

I was planning to show off in front of Yuhan, but I was disappointed to see that all of my work was B-grade, not S-grade.

She took out another spinach and made another spinach frittata.
