Honkai Star Rail: I am Godzilla, domineering and rampant.

Chapter 155: Are you two really just chatting right after meeting like this?!

"Not only that, I also discovered… the dreamscape seems to be expanding!"

Silence…

"And this expansion trend is in which direction?!"

-----------------------------

The discussions of the Memokeepers drifted farther and farther.

Most Memokeepers were well-informed, knowledgeable about many secrets of the cosmos.

There were few things unknown to them, Godzilla's appearance was undoubtedly one of those.

"Do you think Godzilla might be able to connect to that star?" One Memokeeper voiced her opinion, and the hall fell silent.

The Garden of Recollection had once used the Mirror of Memories to reflect upon a distant hidden star, where three paths had stirred fluctuations of Emanator-level magnitude.

To this day, the garden did not know which Aeon sheltered that star region, nor had even Akilvils's footprints ever reached it.

Indeed, the universe contained many areas not yet incorporated into known charts. Just as the meaning of the Aeon of Trailblaze implied, those undiscovered worlds were precisely the regions meant to be reached.

As for speculations about Godzilla, opinions varied widely.

Some even guessed that Godzilla had a deep connection with the Aeons, the evidence being that so far, three Aeons had all maintained a favorable attitude toward him.

Even when Godzilla openly damaged Amber King's Celestial Comet Wall, He did not interfere, even seemed tolerant.

Although the Celestial Comet Wall had once been smashed open by Akivili, that was an Aeon, and a wandering one at that.

Perhaps the Amber King simply could not restrain Akivili, and so ignored such actions.

But Godzilla is different. At most, he could be considered harmless to people… though still a mighty being that deterred countless factions.

A single beast could influence the decisions of top powers across the cosmos, yet that did not change the fact that he was still beneath the Aeons.

So why didn't the Amber King just smash him with the hammer?

These, however, were all baseless conjectures. At this moment, the Memokeeper's speculation had only been raised, not fully deliberated.

A giant beast that had never appeared in the cosmos before, and that previously had never manifested within cosmic bounds, even now it could hardly be said he was observed by the cosmic factions at all.

And a star that had only been glimpsed by the Garden through the Mirror of Memories, which detected fluctuations of Emanator-level power erupting from that unknown star region.

"This topic has no definite answer for now. Even the one on the Astral Express who knows Godzilla best cannot speak of his origins. Idle speculation will yield no answer."

Others might rely on guesses and circumstantial evidence.

But within the Garden, that was not the way. They trusted memory. Memory would not lie.

Even altered memories would not, if one could not even recognize when a memory was tampered with, it would become an eternal joke within the Garden.

So Godzilla's origins could not be guessed.

Even if that unexplored star region truly was related to him, the Garden could not reach it for the time being. Even viewing that region had to be done through the Mirror, let alone surveying that region.

And Emanators were not to be trifled with.

...

Aside from the worries of the Garden of Recollection, the Interastral Peace Corporation had not gone unscathed from the war of the other day.

For this, the IPC had to allocate enormous manpower and resources to make up the losses.

After all, those star systems had signed trade agreements with the IPC, and were affected in this upheaval.

Since the damage came through the IPC, it would be unreasonable for the IPC not to compensate in some way. Even though it had already grown into a massive interstellar enterprise, reputation was still very important.

The only good news was perhaps that Himeko's words had been widely spread.

As a result, aside from the Antimatter Legion who still carried out destruction, many civilizations had become far more cautious in handling planetary issues, all for fear that a Godzilla might suddenly teleport through space and deliver a ruthless thrashing.

...

"Ah, chirp."

"Mm, recovery is going well."

Bailu held a little notebook, happily recording Hanya's physical condition.

As a competent healer, being responsible for patients was the most basic duty.

Mm and also to accumulate experience for when encountering similar cases in the future.

She paused her pen, and when she raised her head, she saw Xueyi stepping over the threshold carrying a bag.

"Miss Xueyi, off work so early today?"

"Mm… today's official tasks were relatively easy to resolve." Xueyi gave a slight nod.

Each Judge of the Shackling Prison had their own jurisdiction, but depending on circumstances, sometimes they could get a bit of rest.

Hanya's situation, however, was somewhat different.

"How's the leave?" Sitting down beside Hanya, Xueyi asked with concern.

Yes, because of Hanya's special physical condition, she had been granted leave. An indefinite kind, in fact.

For someone who had diligently, earnestly worked at her post for centuries, the feeling of leave was somewhat uncomfortable.

No need to handle those headache-inducing case files, stepping outside into sunlit streets.

It was a lightness she had never experienced before.

Xueyi listened quietly, occasionally offering a word. She was worried Hanya would not be able to adapt to ordinary life.

Yet in matters of ordinary life, she herself could not help much, after all, compared with Hanya, who at least still retained some human air, her own puppet body was even further removed.

"Sister, your body…" Hanya's eyes shifted slightly, worry faintly hidden in their depths.

"It's nothing. As long as you are well, my heart is at ease," Xueyi replied softly.

Now, Hanya felt unprecedented ease. With the lifespan of a Xianzhou native, as long as she lived peacefully, not straying onto battlefields beyond her reach, there was basically no danger.

She didn't know how long she might live, only that it would be longer than when they had both died together.

But the more she thought this way, the more it pained her to look at Xueyi's face.

The two sisters had died in the same battle, but due to various reasons had returned to the world again. Yet Xueyi's situation was not the same as hers.

If Xueyi's flesh body had remained, perhaps there might have been a way. But…

Even if a body is created, Xueyi cannot enter.

The realm of soul and flesh is a forbidden zone. Even those who understand would not rashly attempt it.

Do you not see that within the universe, so many geniuses, even if they wished to solve the problem of lifespan, would never dare to cut into their own souls?

Like Herta's method of rejuvenating, remaking one's body while preserving consciousness, there has never been anyone who freely swapped souls into different bodies.

Xueyi's situation is that her consciousness and soul are preserved; no matter how much damage the puppet body suffers, her soul can return at the fastest speed, to drive the body again.

That is why Hanya worries so much about Xueyi.

After hundreds of years, Xueyi has long since stopped caring about the damage to her body. If it weren't for Hanya always by her side reminding her not to take her body so lightly, she might have lost two or three bodies with every mission.

"Hmph hmph hmph, Miss Hanya, I again… eh? Miss Xueyi is here too."

Skipping lightly over the door's wooden threshold, Guinaifen mischievously kicked the old, worn threshold backward.

"Ah ow!" Sushang, with her radiant smile, hadn't even noticed Xueyi, mentioned by Guinaifen, before tripping clumsily over the loose wood.

"Sushang, are you alright?"

"You young ones just don't have strong bodies, unlike me, robust and sturdy. And you're supposed to be Cloud Knights, yet even dock workers would turn you away."

"Uuugh, shouldn't the Alchemy Commission fix this threshold?"

"Who knows whose pocket the repair funds went into."

Guinaifen bounced forward cheerfully, eyes mischievously glinting.

"Miss Gui," Xueyi gave a small nod.

Those three, Guinaifen included, were specifically invited to help Hanya relax.

...

Jarilo.

"What a beautiful view!"

"Hehe, I told you it was worth coming here, right?"

"Excuse me, how do I… get there?"

Travelers from across the universe carried their vibrant energy here, influencing the people of Jarilo.

This once remote frontier planet now greeted visitors with its own unique character.

Since Godzilla single-handedly suppressed both powers, the number of people coming to Jarilo had surged. Bronya was forced to assign more personnel to maintain order.

"Rub rub rub, I rub rub rub, such a cute baby must be rubbed by big sis!" Topaz said mischievously, hugging a polar bear and rubbing its fluffy belly.

The polar bear's round eyes stared wide at this human who suddenly appeared, tilting its head. Somewhere deep in memory… had it seen this human before?

"Topaz really does love polar bears," Serval chuckled.

"As long as it's cute, I love it," Topaz giggled.

When she saw the polar bear specimen in the Belobog museum, she had already wanted to bring one home. Of course such a precious animal must be protected!

The little bear waddled on short legs, searching for snacks Topaz had set aside.

Incidentally, this polar bear's status in Jarilo was anything but ordinary.

It was among the very first companions by Godzilla's side, initially lured here after discovery. Later, after growing up under Godzilla's intimidating aura, by now it had weathered every storm, a polar cub of unmatched composure.

"The IPC just swallowed such a huge loss?" Naturally, when two people were together, they had to chat about something interesting. Serval spoke first, curious.

"This kind of small loss is nothing to the IPC. Even I don't know the full extent of our profits, not even what the Strategic Investment Division truly earns. After all, I'm not in charge of that sector."Topaz shook her head with a smile.

She could only estimate with her experience and knowledge, but such estimates would surely be far off from reality.

Since its founding, the IPC's enormous capital chain was not something even a member of the Ten Stonehearts like her could possibly calculate.

Losing a few personnel and war machines, such things barely left a mark on such a colossal organization.

"Well, no wonder it's a mega-corporation spanning the universe. If only I could have that kind of foundation one day."

Lounging lazily in her chair, Serval sighed.

Only after witnessing the outside world did she realize how small her own had been. Without Godzilla, Jarilo would likely have been just another ordinary planet, probably destroyed in the Stellaron crisis. Though perhaps the Express Crew might have arrived before then… but who knew if she would still be alive by that time.

"Hehe, isn't it simple if you want that foundation? Just join the IPC, climb upward, hit certain performance goals, and promotion is automatic. For ordinary folks, if background holds them back from promotion, they'll receive other rewards instead."

Topaz suggested with a sly grin.

"Forget it, I'm not cut out for schemes and intrigue."

The thought of herself in such cutthroat struggles made Serval shake her head rapidly.

"Pity, I would have liked to see that scene." Topaz sighed in mock disappointment.

In truth, she really was curious what that would look like.

The IPC's promotion system was flawless, but only if you had someone backing you. Otherwise, once you accumulated enough achievements, promotion might instead be converted into some other form of reward.

Like Topaz, her current level left no room for further advancement.

Even if by some chance she did progress, the next step was already beyond her reach.

Not just anyone could enter the IPC's board of directors, the tangled web of relationships inside was enough to leave anyone dizzy, forged over countless hammer falls of the Amber Lord.

These people have long been entangled with each other, basically to the point where no one can move against anyone else.

Of course, if a huge blunder happens, the one meant to be sacrificed still has to be pushed out.

Such a huge corporation naturally makes many in the know covetous.

If she could be promoted without any risk, Topaz wouldn't mind. But if after climbing up she had to deal with endless scheming, where one sentence could be interpreted in eight hundred different ways, then Topaz would rather stay in her current position.

Anyway, at her level, making money has already become secondary. What matters is realizing her own life's value and fulfilling her dreams.

The reason the Ten Stonehearts gathered under Diamond wasn't just to join the IPC and struggle, each of them had essentially struck a deal with Diamond. Before achieving their own goals, they had to continue sailing on this great ship for a while.

...

Godzilla's dream.

In the dream, Godzilla was still roaming the starry seas.

Moving unerringly in one direction.

Miss Messenger didn't take it seriously at first. After all, traveling through dreams might sound a bit odd, but under the influence of many miraculous Fates, she didn't find it that strange.

After all, even immortality could be achieved, though at a price, but it was enough to- Until...

"This direction seems, maybe, kind of wrong?" Miss Messenger fell silent.

This direction felt somewhat familiar.

Not an illusion, truly familiar.

From her memory, if one kept going along this path, it would lead to the end of the explored cosmos...

"An unexplored star region!" Miss Messenger finally remembered what this place was.

The sanctuary of some unknown Aeon, a region of the cosmos that had never been heard of, exuding a strange ripple of destiny!

Being assigned to the Godzilla project, and due to the last trip, dear miss messenger of course had studied quite a lot about things involving the unexplored cosmos.

She also knew what was here. But why were you heading in this direction?!

Before Miss Messenger could speak, the dream before her suddenly became a little strange.

Looking closely, it faintly carried a girlish vibe.

...

"Over and over again, once after another. I said already, I won't... eh?"

Awoken from the dream by a sudden inexplicable tremor, the white haired girl sighed helplessly.

Provoked again and again, even if her temper had improved somewhat, wasn't this just too much!

As she was thinking about how to punish the rude intruder who barged into other people's dreams and casually preserved their memories, she opened her eyes.

It was dark.

Though she had experienced much, her usually clear eyes now looked blankly at the thing before her that had caused the darkness.

At a glance, it looked somewhat like tree bark, emanating a chilling aura.

Looking up, she saw giant vertical pupils staring straight at her.

"Eh, it's a person." Godzilla was disappointed.

Sensing unique energy fluctuations here, he thought it was something edible, or at least something to keep by the bedside, like Phantylia for company. Who would have guessed it was just a person.

And a familiar white haired girl-cat at that.

The white haired girl's eyes narrowed. She sensed it, the danger was real! Was this that so-called natural enemy of humanity, the Herrschers?!

No... she was just floating.

Through the reflection in the monster's vertical pupils, she saw herself rising into the air like a sprout shooting out of dry earth.

Why did this monster's eyes show disappointment?

Casting aside that strange thought for the moment, the white haired girl glanced at Miss Messenger sitting on Godzilla's shoulder, who seemed not yet aware of the situation, then turned her gaze back to Godzilla.

"...Is she, heavy(strong)?"

Godzilla shook his head.

"Oh."

'Are you two really just chatting right after meeting like this?!' Miss Messenger roared inwardly.

Human and beast locked eyes, staring directly at each other.

As time passed, the white haired girl gradually realized something was wrong.
