Chen Jiayu was deeply engrossed in the technological applications of the Stairway to Galaxy Project. After understanding some data, Xia Chen decided not to disturb him further.

In reality, there wasn't much Xia Chen could do on Coral Island. Similar to most dispatched Valkyries, his primary duty was simply clearing Honkai Beasts.

The life of a garrisoned Valkyrie is often more monotonous than at Headquarters.

At least Headquarters remains at the forefront of information; whether it's gossip or urgent missions, Valkyries stationed there are typically prioritized for assignments. Each day can bring new experiences.

For Valkyrie squads deployed to garrisons, their daily routine revolves around familiar faces - just the captain and squad members. Apart from interactions with local elites, they have limited contact with others.

Most garrisons experience few Honkai incidents throughout the year, making each day predominantly focused on training after training.

Xia Chen's situation is even worse; although he has teammates, none of them are currently stationed on Coral Island.

Essentially, whatever he does here goes largely unnoticed.

This lifestyle offers considerable freedom but also immense boredom.

Coral Island lacks proper facilities for training. Aside from the Valkyrie Dormitory provided by the local government, everything else must be arranged independently.

Since the departure of Gray Serpent that fateful day, Coral Island has fallen into tranquility, which feels somewhat unsettling to Xia Chen.

To maintain his fitness, he would typically run about thirty kilometers daily and spend time fishing to cultivate inner tranquility.

After two such days, Fu Hua arrived.

"I didn't expect you to enjoy fishing." Surprise flickered in Fu Hua's eyes as she saw Xia Chen. "I thought you'd prefer watching movies or dining out in the city."

Coral Island was not only a monumental engineering project showcasing human technological advancements but also a thriving commercial hub during this period. It boasted all the amenities found in other major cities.

"Just practicing mindfulness," Xia Chen replied, initially taken aback by Fu Hua's presence. Then, somewhat unexpectedly, he asked, "Did something happen on Coral Island for you to come here?"

"On someone's request." Fu Hua smiled, saying, "I've been tasked with keeping an eye on you."

She did not hide her mission from him.

Unlike Kiana, Xia Chen possessed greater perceptiveness. Moreover, their relationship hadn't reached a point where Fu Hua would visit solely out of concern. Thus, it was better to be upfront from the start.

As for Xia Chen's reaction, that should be Otto's headache.

Xia Chen felt slightly surprised, not because of Otto's suspicion, but due to Fu Hua's directness.

Shaking his head, Xia Chen didn't dwell on the topic and instead invited Fu Hua, "Want to give it a try?"

"Fishing is like opening a mystery box; you never know what surprises await."

Xia Chen wasn't particularly skilled at fishing, but Coral Island's waters were abundant with marine life. He managed to reel in several peculiar-looking fish and shrimp, even a bucket of instant noodles.

It was flavored as 'Beautiful Young Girl' and still unopened. One could only wonder who wasted such an item, allowing it to drift all the way here.

"Mystery box..." Fu Hua recalled unpleasant memories.

She shook her head, "No thanks, I'm not very good at this."

Given her luck, she might not catch anything, which would not be calming but rather disheartening.

Fu Hua adjusted her rimless glasses and said, "You continue fishing, while I'll practice my techniques nearby."

"Sounds good."

They weren't really close acquaintances, so engaging in awkward conversation seemed less preferable than focusing on their own activities.

Thus, Xia Chen caught a large basketful of fish, cooked a pot of delicious seafood soup, and invited Fu Hua to share the meal.

Although lacking seasonings, the freshness of the fish itself made up for it. Being coastal species, they contained minimal toxins, ensuring a safe and enjoyable feast.

Xia Chen, being able to consume any form of energy, wasn't picky about his food.

And Fu Hua... well, she wasn't particular either.

Unlike Kiana who had tried everything, Fu Hua could still eat almost anything due to her MANTIS physiology.

She silently enjoyed the seafood soup while observing Xia Chen savoring it enthusiastically. Unable to resist, she spoke up:

"Although there are some things I'd rather not discuss now, I feel compelled to warn you. Continuing to stay with Schicksal may not be your best choice."

After sharing this, Fu Hua let out a sigh of relief.

She was not truly part of Schicksal but rather Otto's partner. Witnessing someone with such immense potential spending valuable time merely cooking seafood soup instead of pursuing greater achievements troubled her deeply.

Xia Chen's talents should not go to waste like this.

However, Xia Chen, slightly taken aback, simply shook his head.

"Class Representative Fu Hua... actually, can I just call you by your name?"

"That's fine," Fu Hua responded without hesitation.

"Hmm, then Fu Hua, please tell me, where can I go?"

"Shenzhou," Fu Hua replied calmly. "Although Shenzhou lacks the power of Schicksal, it still possesses some hidden resources."

This was no lie.

The World Serpent inherited numerous legacies from the previous civilization era, but Kevin had shared some with Fu Hua.

"I have reserves at Taixuan Mountain, making it possible to teach you the Taixuan Sword Qi without issue. Additionally, regarding your Stigmata..." Fu Hua hesitated briefly before continuing, "Even though it's been a long time since I've contacted anyone from the World Serpent, arranging for your entry there should not be a problem."

The place she referred to was the Elysian Realm of the World Serpent.

Within that realm, imprints could greatly enhance the power of one's Stigmata.

During her time in Shenzhou, Fu Hua did not completely sever ties with Kevin. In fact, she had previously sent her most promising disciple to the World Serpent.

Cheng Lingshuang was the first person to collect all Heroic Spirit imprints within the Elysian Realm. To this day, Fu Hua remains uncertain about her fate and whether she truly perished.

Although Fu Hua's physical condition was declining, her perception remained sharp. Even current S-rank Valkyries fell short compared to the former MANTIS warriors, let alone the Thirteen Heroes.

Thus, suggesting Xia Chen enter the Elysian Realm truly stemmed from Fu Hua's goodwill.

However, Xia Chen shook his head.

"I can't leave yet, at least not now."

With Coral Island's impending Honkai eruption, he couldn't find peace until it was resolved.

Fu Hua didn't press him further.

"Whenever you're ready, just let me know."

She wasn't in any rush; she had already waited for so many years, and a little more time wouldn't matter.

Xia Chen found this somewhat intriguing. "But I must admit, Fu Hua, your identity piques my curiosity."

"It's not convenient to reveal right now, but rest assured, we are not enemies." She smiled and added, "You can consider me as one among the defeated."

"And what about that place you mentioned earlier?"

"A graveyard for a group of vanquished heroes," Fu Hua replied casually.

No matter how glorious their past might have been, ultimately, they all became mere gravestones.
