Honkai: Man(Sludge) From Future

Chapter 70: Tesla: My Head is Full of Tentacles

"It's really strange. Why can I do this without a vacuum? Is it because controlling Honkai energy doesn't require a vacuum?"

Tesla didn't need things like lenses now. As a Herrscher, she could directly use her will to control electromagnetism.

The most important vacuum device was to keep electrons from being absorbed or deflected.

But...

'I don't need that either. Wherever Honkai energy exists, I can ignore spatial distance to achieve the purpose of manipulation. This manipulation distance is only related to my perception distance...'

The eyeball on Tesla's head wriggled back and forth. It seemed extremely excited and active, which allowed Tesla to concentrate her mind more to manipulate smaller, nanometer-level work.

She could even directly observe her own protein structure and use electromagnetic forces to change it.

Unfortunately...

Tesla didn't know what would happen after her own proteins changed. She felt that if she messed around, it would definitely cause a strange diseased protein to appear, or cause irreversible genetic mutations.

'But how can such an ability only be used to kill people?'

That's what she was thinking...

'Honkai energy research... the range covered allows me to directly manipulate electrons. Then, theoretically, I can directly engrave nanometer-level circuits on Honkai energy crystals?'

Tesla casually picked up a Honkai energy crystal that she had prepared long ago. Layers of glowing light flashed within the crystal. She even engraved an on/off symbol on the outer layer of the crystal.

The eighty-year-old electrical girl gently placed her finger on the symbol. As a surge of electricity flowed, the Honkai energy crystal emitted a faint glow, directly projecting a snowy image onto the wall next to it.

'When it's not powered, it's the same as a normal Honkai energy crystal. If I engrave a small Honkai energy-to-electrical energy system inside...'

Tesla did what she wanted to do and quickly made a temporary Honkai energy crystal version of a projector.

A projector that could produce its own electricity and play its own images, without even needing to be connected to a power cord.

"Power cord, oh, right, can I make an interface? No, I can directly engrave a wireless device with electrons."

These things were simpler than she had imagined. Even the circuit diagrams were readily available in Tesla's mind.

"High performance, long stability, and even self-generating energy..."

"Apart from the fact that it erodes humans, it's simply the perfect energy source and consumable for me."

"Sigh..."

Tesla casually threw the little gadget she had made to the side. She slumped into her chair and looked up at the eyeball floating in front of her.

Thanks to this little guy, Tesla could perceive the electronic world that she couldn't perceive before.

But it was also this little guy who brought the trouble. Tesla always felt that everything was dirty, and she wanted to zap everything to clean it up.

She had gotten used to it, so it was okay?

"Okay, my ass!"

She angrily picked up the folder on the table and threw it against the wall, smashing it to pieces.

"That was just a plastic folder. There's no need to treat it like that."

Einstein glanced at the Honkai energy crystal that had been thrown to the side. She had someone neutralize it before walking into the special laboratory that Tesla had left for her.

There weren't many things in this laboratory. The most important experimental subject was Tesla herself.

"Bedhead, how did Joachim turn his body into Joyce's appearance? He had to reshape all of the human body's genes and bones at the same time. Theoretically, do we really 'understand' Herrschers?"

"Although the First Herrscher can reproduce something with his own power after fully understanding the 'explanation' of an object, it's completely possible to reproduce a person's body, but the consciousness will definitely not be the original person."

"Which came first, the body or the consciousness? It must be the body first, right? Then when the original person's body is reshaped, all of that person's brain neurons should theoretically be reproduced as well. The memory and the original should not have any deviations. Unless there is a possibility that human consciousness is a disposable, continuous product that is constantly changing in time."

"Only in this way can human consciousness be irreproducible. But I encountered a problem. If consciousness is a non-renewable, disposable product, then how can I change the brain without harming my consciousness at all?"

"I myself am not an awakened Herrscher, but rather I gained control of the core after being modified. So I don't have the ability to save my consciousness in the Honkai in advance. Then how exactly was my frontal lobe modified without harming my own consciousness?"

Tesla couldn't figure it out. She didn't understand why this happened. It completely violated the scientific reality she understood.

If it was the Honkai energy that was causing trouble, then so be it. That was Honkai energy! But Noldrei himself had achieved this level without using the power of Honkai.

That guy didn't have any Honkai energy on him. The core gem was just a decoration on the crown on his head, probably used as a temporary light source at night.

Einstein wasn't a specialist in brain research. Although she knew some related research progress, it was impossible for her to know all the details.

Theoretically, the Herrscher of Reason could never know how many mysteries there were in a person's body, because human knowledge was only at this level. Reshaping a body would definitely require the help of the powerful force behind the Honkai.

Einstein pondered for a moment, looking at the moving eyeball on Tesla's head.

She had recently observed some patterns in Tesla's eyeball. The more active Tesla's thinking was and the more she used her brain to think, the more this eyeball would condense the power of Honkai and feed it back to Tesla's brain.

It was truly a natural brain stimulant, and it was even harmless to Tesla.

"Tesla, what is the most memorable part of the person who modified you?"

Tesla frowned. She had also talked to Einstein about Noldrei recently.

This was the first time she had been asked about the most memorable part.

"It's..." Her face turned slightly red, and she stammered, "It's... it's tentacles."

Einstein showed an expression that was both helpless and sad.

'Why are you blushing? Why are tentacles the most memorable? What experiences are you hiding from me?'

Einstein hesitated for a moment and said, "Tesla, is it possible that I'm asking about the other person's personality, or what he wanted to do?"

"Mophead, why didn't you say that clearly!"

Tesla was stunned for a moment and suddenly realized that she seemed to have said something she shouldn't have.

She had originally planned to hide her dark history until the day Einstein died.
