Chapter 1047 Departure-1

Genevieve got up early to arrive at Kayla's place. He told her to come first thing in the morning as Helga and Katarina were taking an early flight so she didn't want to be late but what she didn't know that no matter what time she arrived, since Samuel was providing his own plane, it wouldn't have mattered.

It was around six in the morning and the only people that were awake was Kayla's grandmother who was getting ready for her usual morning walk. She had gotten familiar with the husky that was recently adopted which was an excellent companion for her morning walk.

Ash was also docile knowing that she was a member of the family that he needed to protect. Samuel had taught it great deal of things last night and he also introduced everyone to it. When she came to fetch him, the dog was wagging it's tail furiously trying to garner her attention.

" Okay, okay. Whos the good boy? Whos the good boy?" Grandma laughed trying to put Ash in control. It might look big but it was only a puppy.

She pulled out fresh leash that they purchased yesterday and put it around it's head. Ash was very cooperative which made her smile a little. She was afraid that it would hurt Elise when she saw it yesterday but despite it's size the dog was quite friendly. Stay tuned with My Virtual Library Empire

" Don't run. I wouldn't be able to hold you back." She reprimanded it. Ash was big enough to drag her around which could lead to injury or worst it could scare other people in the park. She had been living in the neighbourhood for decades and had quite a lot of acquaintances. She wanted to show off the new addition to the family but it would turn into an embarrassment if Ash caused trouble for them.

Ash didn't understand her but seeing her tug at the leash, it slowed down. Just as they were exiting, the dog propped up getting alert. It's ears perked up like it sensed someone approaching. Grandma also looked ahead to see Genevieve entering the apartment complex after getting out of the taxi.

" Good boy, stop, stop." Ash started making trouble seeing stranger come in inside the door. Genevieve was shocked to see grandma struggling with the dog. She wasn't aware of anyone having a door in the entire apartment complex.

Fortunately, Ash listened to her and stopped struggling but it was still alert standing on it's front legs watching Genevieve's every move. Genevieve also curiously stared at the dog, she wasn't scare of animals but this one gave off a different feeling than all the other dogs she interacted with.

" Genie, you are early, what's the occasion?" She asked.

They weren't strangers since Genevieve stayed at the apartment for few days and often had meals together with her granddaughter and Elise. In turn she also heard few things in passing about their disagreement. As far as she could tell, Genevieve promised to not come in contact with Samuel. She also fought with others and because of that left few days ago and she hadn't seen her since but seeing her arrive the next day Samuel came here was surprising.

As an elder, she seldom comment about what the younger generation were up to. Kayla and Mayra relationship with him was complicated but at the same time they were adult so she never said anything about it. Beside she was hoping that their entanglement would lead to some offsprings that she was so hoping to see before she died.

Maybe it was her wishful thinking but after the arrival of Elise she practically forgot about it. Whatever they did was not her concern, both girls had stable job and were doing quite fine in their field of work. Although relationship with other family members were still strained due to their impromptu marriage but she accepted it wholeheartedly. There was no chance for her to ever condemn her beautiful granddaughter for anything, she was the apple of her eye!

At the same time, what he did in his private life was very known to everyone. She didn't understand this new trend but she also knew that it was not common. If everyone was fine with it, she didn't feel like it was her place to say anything.

" Grandma, don't call me that. I feel like I am living in a magic lamp ready to fulfill your every wish." Genevieve said awkwardly. She didn't like the nickname, it was weird to her.

" Alright, are you here to meet him? Last I saw, everyone is still asleep." She laughed waving her hands dismissively. Teasing younglings was her only source of enjoyment these days.

" Asleep? Didn't they have a flight to catch?"

" Flight? I don't know about that but if you wish to meet him you have to go to the apartment you guys leased. I think he is spending time there." Grandma didn't say anything else and left with Ash in tow. The dog saw how calmly she interacted with the stranger so it also relaxed and let go of it's anxious alert attitude.

Genevieve didn't even have a chance to ask further. The revelation that Samuel was spending time with Helga and Katarina again was enough to shock her. Didn't they promise not to do anything stupid? Why were they running back to him again?

She grumbled and immediately made her way upstairs. She wanted to find out the reason why they betrayed the pact so easily! She somewhat expected it from Helga who was enchanted by him but she guessed Katarina would be there to talk some sense into her little sister.

No matter how much Kayla and Mayra advocated for him, she knew it was just a messy relationship that would lose it's spark until he finds someone better. Being a skeptic she never thought such a unorthodox relationship could flourish after all humans were born to love and hate and most importantly be jealous.
