He pushed open the doors to the inn where he had stayed earlier.

The inn went silent, and countless eyes focused themselves on Lucifer. This time, nobody obstructed him, and he came before the innkeeper.

The eyes of the innkeeper and the inn's patrons were all drawn to the platinum star on Lucifer's shoulder-plates.

In a casual tone which sounded like he was smiling, Lucifer said:

"A double room."

After flaunting his new rank, he took the keys from the speechless inkeeper.

And so, Lucifer entered his room, where he dispelled his magic item and resumed his true face.

The platinum star on his shoulder-plate was bold, making it known. He had explained his part in last night's activities in the warehouse, and had been awarded the platinum star.

The reason why the inn had gone silent was because of that plate. A man who had been a black star mercenary several days ago had now risen quickly through the ranks when they saw him again. This was beyond their ability to comprehend.

And then Oxy asked the question in his heart.

"May I ask how we should deal with those two? They said they would contact us about the appropriate remuneration."

"His daughter said she would pay everything she had. Therefore, I will have her bring her grandfather a summon. He will teach him all about morden medicine, so that can strength our database and also let us know about what capabilities in terms of medicine any future enemies may have if they belong to this world."

"…You can surely create summons who can make potions, Why must you specially engage these lower lifeforms (penis fishes) to do so as well?"

"It's because I want a new source of power."

Oxy stared dumbfoundedly and did not respond, so Lucifer continued.

"Well, I have considered that in the future, we may run out of materials to make potions so I would rather have an alternative to them. Of course, if all goes well, maybe one day we can think about making potions from the materials native to earth. If that even is possible."

Oxy just stared at Lucifer.

"Let's leave them aside for now. There's something more important to take care of."

Lucifer cast the [Greater sending] spell and contacted Hilda.

He had received a message from her but since he was not free to talk earlier, Lucifer could only tell her not to worry too much about things. After that, he had been far too busy to talk.
