As Lucifer left the room, oxy sighed deeply.

Then he rubbed the corner of his eyes, and his eyes, previously filled with a keen expression, drooped powerlessly. His face looked completely relaxed. Even his purple hair seemed to have lost its energy and hung limply down. However, he still recalled his supreme master's orders.

Though oxy was dying to look around outside the room and since he was a spy and an assassin and would've have a lot of trouble looking outside, Lucifer's orders were absolute. Therefore, he just laid down on the bed.

Oxy was a jester.

It was a race of demon's.

Despite the name, they were not fools. They were a intelligent race known for their good sense of smell and their ability to read the hearts of others.

They also had a powerful sense of hearing, and could see through people. However, oxy was an level 60 Jester assassin. As a result of having his intelligence and mana high, his strength was extremely low, and he relied solely on special abilities and magic and so forth to gain an advantage against his opponents but it didn't mean he wasn't strong, he could easily crush a titanium rod or lift a truck.

He was no match for his creator, Lucifer, but it would be no exaggeration to say he was the second-strongest individual in this city.

Most of oxy's spells pertained to combat. This one he was about to cast was one of the few exceptions. After listening to the sounds around him, he made sure it was safe before casting the:

"[Greater sending]." spell

The spell took 2 seconds to cast, and it had an infinite range. Normally, it would have cost 4MP. It was a powerful telepathic spell. When cast, it allowed the caster to make a mental connection/call to any creature or player he was familiar with.

Then that being would hear his message in their mind. If they recognized him, they could choose to accept or decline his call. If declined, the spell would end.

Unlike traditional communication methods, the spell did not use verbal or physical means to transmit the message. Instead, it directly connected to the mind of the recipient, allowing them to hear the speaker's words as distinct as if they were spoken aloud. The spell had no range limitation, meaning that the caster could communicate with individuals regardless of the distance that separated them.

Oxy was speaking to the 2nd doppelganger created by Lucifer, Dark.

Dark had been given the role of managing all reports, like a manager. Oxy described every detail of the situation to dark, and finally he mentioned the news that Dark was dying to hear:

"Lucifer-sama mentioned you, Dark-sama. He said that he was thankful to have such loyal subordinates."

"「Kufu—!」"

A strange cry of delight resounded within oxy's head.

"「Good — very good — oxy, you're a good guy! Keep spreading that news for me! This is an order from your senior!」"

Oxy wondered, Is this really worth an order? However, he realized that this might be a move in the struggle to better serve their lord. Thus, such an order made perfect sense. Just as oxy was about to express his doubts, he heard dark's excited voice once more.

"「I'll do anything to please lord Lucifer!」"

Dark's cry of delight made oxy furrow his brows. That excited voice was starting to annoy him.

"Indeed."

Oxy agreed.

Dark was another of Lucifer's subordinates, a higher doppelganger that had the ability to take the form of anyone. Right now, Dark was on a mission with one of the ten blood knight's called BK-2.

"So? Dark-sama, how is your mission going?"

"「Good. My mission is going pretty smoothly. 」"

The voice that traveled through oxy's consciousness seemed a bit hurried. He sounded like he was rushing to answer his question while also trying not to lose his concentration.

" 「 This country is so big though, finding Lord Lucifer's subordinates is going to be hard. There's more than 70 million people here from what Lucifer-sama told me. 」"

70 million people...

Just that number was enough to make oxy feel a little overwhelmed. Just thinking about how dark was supposed to find some people from so many was giving him a headache.

"So, is there any progress made?"

Oxy could not help but ask. With so many people around, dark didn't have an easy time at all.

"「 Well...we found someone. 」"

Oxy was a little surprised to hear that. They had already found someone.

"So, how did you deal with those situations?"

Oxy questioned out of concern. He hoped that dark would not mess up the mission.

"「That...? 」"

Dark didn't immediately answer. He remained quiet for a moment, as if debating what to answer.

After a while, he finally said with some hesitation,

" 「 I knocked them out. Ah, I'm so frustrated, why must we be so careful with these 'humans' (worm's). 」"

The tone of voice in which dark said that sentence was clearly filled with disdain and annoyance. Although humans could be considered as an existence on the same level animal's, they were only considered like little worms due to how weak they were.

"Order's are order's though."

"「Yeah, I know. 」"

Dark's response was accompanied by a resigned breath. He also knew that he had to complete the mission. So, no matter how much he wanted to act on his instincts, he still needed to restrain himself.

"「Besides, Lord Lucifer instructed us not to reveal ourselves. 」"

Dark said with a sigh. It was obvious that he was unhappy with it. Lucifer had ordered them not to attract attention. Although they were supposed to look for Lucifer's subordinates, it was crucial that they did it quietly. Revealing themselves could lead to unexpected conflicts, so revealing themselves must be avoided.

"Well, i wish you best of luck."

"「Thank you. 」"

Dark replied, his tone revealing his irritation. But he quickly managed to calm himself. After a moment, he added,

" 「 Good luck to you too. 」"
