Hokage: Immortal, I Open Unlimited Eight Gates

Chapter 66: Crying Tsunade

After returning home, Chiba told Uchiha Genka about the mission.

Although Genka was worried about Uchiha Chiba's safety, she didn't say much. After all, Uchiha Chiba was now a real ninja.

Then, Genka suggested that since today was Chiba's graduation day, they should go out to celebrate instead of cooking dinner.

Night

After having dinner at the yakiniku restaurant, Chiba and Genka walked directly home.

Since Chiba was leaving tomorrow, Genka thought she should return early to help him prepare some necessary items. So, she decided not to ask him to go shopping with her and went home directly.

As the two were walking on the shopping street, Genka suddenly pointed to an bar on the side and said, "Chiba, look! Isn't that Lady Tsunade?"

Chiba looked in the direction of her finger.

Sure enough, he saw Tsunade sitting there alone, drinking one cup after another.

"Should we go over and say hello, Chiba?" Genka continued.

Hearing this, Uchiha Chiba thought for a moment and then said, "No. By the way, Mom, you go back first. I'll go see what's going on."

Although he didn't know why Tsunade was drinking alone, her expressionless face and continuous drinking suggested she must have encountered something troubling.

Genka nodded and warned, "Okay, I'll go back first. Chiba, come home early, and you are not allowed to drink. Do you understand?"

"Don't worry, Mom. I'm still underage, and the boss wouldn't dare sell me alcohol anyway," Chiba replied helplessly.

"Good. Just remember that. Alright, I'm leaving." After saying that, Genka turned and left.

After she departed, Chiba walked into the bar.

As soon as he entered, he heard other guests whispering.

"How much has Lady Tsunade drunk?"

"Including this bottle, eight bottles."

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. She really is Lady Tsunade. If I had that kind of tolerance, I would have outdrunk my father-in-law ages ago."

"Haha, that's impossible for you in this lifetime."

...

Hearing that Tsunade had drunk so much, Chiba hurriedly called the boss and asked for a cup of sobering tea for her. Then, he walked over and sat down across from Tsunade.

First, he observed her carefully.

Her cheeks were flushed, her eyes were hazy, and she seemed quite intoxicated.

Tsunade, already drunk, didn't even notice that Chiba was sitting in front of her and continued drinking.

Although Tsunade's appearance was undeniably attractive, Chiba had no time to dwell on such thoughts.

"Sister Tsunade, what's wrong? Why are you drinking so much alone?" he asked with concern.

"Huh? It's you, Chiba. Hehe, are you here to drink with me?" Tsunade said, raising her head slightly and trying to open her eyes.

Chiba shook his head. "Sister Tsunade, if something is bothering you, you can tell me. Maybe I can help? Besides, drinking like this won't solve your problems."

Hearing his words, Tsunade seemed to sober up slightly, but remembering the bad news she had received that day, she became sad again. "Haha, if I can't solve it, no one can..." she murmured before suddenly collapsing onto the table and sobbing softly.

Chiba felt helpless. How could he help if she didn't tell him what the problem was?

However, just as he was about to ask again, he realized Tsunade had stopped moving.

"Huh?"

He reached out and gently pushed her shoulder, but she remained motionless.

Asleep?

At that moment, the bar owner arrived with the sobering tea. "Guest, please enjoy your sobering tea."

After placing the cup on the table, the boss turned to leave, but Chiba stopped him.

"Boss, wait a moment. How much is the total bill?"

The boss looked at him curiously. "Are you planning to pay?"

"Yes, please tell me the total."

"It's 3,000 ryo."

"Here." Uchiha Chiba nodded, took out 3,000 ryo from his wallet, and handed it over.

After the boss left, Uchiha Chiba looked at the unconscious Tsunade and decided to take her home first.

He stood up, moved to her side, placed her arm around his shoulders, and lifted her gently.

After exiting the bar, he supported Tsunade as they made their way toward the Senju clan compound.

Leaving the bustling downtown area, Chiba realized that carrying a woman like Tsunade was proving to be quite a challenge.

Due to the warm weather, Tsunade was wearing thin clothing, and Uchiha Chiba could clearly feel the smoothness of her waist beneath the fabric.

Additionally, the deep cleavage in front of him was proving to be an unavoidable distraction.

At one point, he nearly walked into a roadside ditch but managed to react in time and avoided disaster.

At that moment, he felt movement from Tsunade.

Suddenly, she broke free from his grasp, ran to a nearby wall, and vomited.

Seeing this, Uchiha Chiba waited patiently. Once she was done, he took out a tissue from his pocket and handed it to her.

Fortunately, he had anticipated this and grabbed some tissues before leaving the bar.

"Thank you," Tsunade said weakly after vomiting. She took the tissue and wiped her mouth.

"Sister Tsunade, if something is troubling you, you should talk about it. Keeping it bottled up won't help."

Hearing this, Tsunade's expression became sorrowful. Tears welled up in her eyes, and she seemed unsteady on her feet.

"What's wrong, Tsunade-san?" Uchiha Chiba asked, holding her shoulders.

"Uuuuuuu..."

Thinking about her grandmother, who had been with her for so many years and was now on the verge of passing away, Tsunade couldn't hold back her emotions. She threw herself into Chiba's arms and cried.

Seeing this, Uchiha Chiba didn't rush her. He simply placed his hand on her back and patted her gently.

Ten minutes later, Tsunade finally calmed down and let go of him.

"Are you feeling better, Tsunade-san?" he asked with concern.

"Yeah... I made a fool of myself, Chiba." A bitter smile appeared on Tsunade's face.

"Now, can you tell me what happened?"

Tsunade remained silent for a moment before finally speaking.

That afternoon, after returning home, she noticed that her father and mother, who had been in the capital, had suddenly returned. She also saw Senju Naoki looking incredibly sad.

Under her persistent questioning, she eventually learned the heartbreaking truth—Uzumaki Mito was on the brink of death.

Unable to accept this painful reality, Tsunade had gone to the bar to drink her sorrows away.
