Hogwarts Mysterious Man Resurrected
Chapter 17: Hagrid’s Memories
"Harry, you should know that I have been trying to find evidence that Lockhart is a liar these past few days."
"Yes." Harry and Ron nodded in agreement. They had always felt that Hermione had been in something very wrong recently.
It felt too extreme, but because of Hermione's lion-like personality, the two of them never asked more questions.
Until now being directly pointed out by Hermione, Harry vaguely seemed to have caught something, but it flashed past him.
But Ron still didn't understand what Hermione meant.
You're looking for evidence that Lockhart is a liar, and why is Ginny's life in danger?
Ron's poor brain couldn't figure it out.
Hagrid was a little surprised.
"Professor Lockhart is a liar but how is this possible?"
"Nothing is impossible, Hagrid." Hermione looked at Hagrid with very serious eyes.
"If I'm not wrong, Lockhart's experiences are all other people's. He is just a thief, thief, and liar."
"He lied to everyone, and he's not very good at magic spells. Remember that Defense Against the Dark Arts lesson before? He messed up everything."
"But"
"What if Professor Lockhart is really a liar."
"Then, why hasn't any wizard come out to report him yet?"
Hagrid looked hesitant, and Hermione's words made him a little suspicious.
Thinking of the bad things Lockhart had done before, Hagrid was surprised to find that the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor seemed to have nothing but the smile that always hung on his face.
Whether it is the failure to release the spell or the method of teaching.
For that position, Lockhart was not even there.
What Hagrid just wondered was if Lockhart was really that bad.
Why hasn't anyone exposed him yet?
"because"
Hermione looked into Hagrid's eyes.
I remembered that night, under the candlelight, the parchment on the diary appeared, and the content of the conversation with her.
"Because Lockhart knows a charm."
"Maybe that's the only spell Lockhart knows."
"That spell has a famous name."
At this time, Hagrid had chosen to believe Hermione in his heart.
His thoughts overlapped with Hermione's.
"It's called the Forgetting Curse."
"It can make wizards or Muggles forget a memory."
Hermione looked at Hagrid and saw that he was frozen in place.
"It turns out that Lockhart is really a liar, but I don't understand Hermione." Ron looked at them doubtfully and said in a troubled tone.
"What does your search for evidence that Lockhart is a liar have to do with Ginny's life being in danger?"
"It can't be that Lockhart wants to hurt Ginny."
He smiled cheerfully, as if he was telling a joke.
While smiling, Ron felt something was wrong.
He looked at the faces of several people and found that no one had a relatively relaxed expression. They all had a very serious look, including Hagrid, who was always smiling.
"No way, it's really Lockhart who wants to hurt Ginny, that's my sister." Ron looked a little frustrated, but then he became angry.
"Shut up, Ron." Hermione frowned and glared at him dissatisfied.
She hated brainless people the most, especially Ron.
"It wasn't Lockhart who wanted to hurt Ginny."
"Who is that?" Ron yelled at Hermione angrily. "You didn't explain it clearly. You kept it secret all this time."
"you"
"Okay, stop arguing." Harry stood up and interrupted the quarrel between his two good friends.
Hermione snorted coldly and stopped looking at Ron.
Ron also tilted his head. He had never been able to understand Hermione's appearance.
"Okay, kids." Hagrid said, looking a little tired.
Tonight, Hermione had given him a little too much stimulation.
First there was the name, and now there was the possibility that Lockhart, the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, was a liar.
"What do you want to ask, Hermione."
"I want to know who the wizard named Tom Riddle is."
Hermione looked directly at Hagrid again, and she saw the pained look in Hagrid's eyes.
It seems that this name had a great influence on Hagrid. Maybe the wizard with this name had a very good relationship with Hagrid, and then died for some reason.
She believed that Hagrid was a kind person who could make him look like this.
There is no other idea except that the wizard named Tom Riddle is Hagrid's good friend.
Hagrid looked at the three little wizards seriously, especially Harry, who looked at them the most seriously.
"Since you want to know who he is."
"Let's go back to the cabin and talk. This is a long story, and it won't be explained in a short while."
"Come on, little wizards and wizards of Gryffindor."
Hagrid and Harry returned to the cabin again.
The warm temperature inside the wooden house made the faces of those present look much better.
It is not as pale as before because of the wind, and has become a little rosy.
Hagrid poured himself a glass of wine and drank it in one gulp.
"Tom him"
"He was a very powerful wizard, if it hadn't been for those things that happened later."
Hagrid raised his head and looked at the three little wizards in front of him, not hiding the sadness and anger in his eyes.
This made the three of them curious, and they all wanted to know the story behind this name.
"He is smart and studious. He is very friendly and humble towards his classmates and teachers."
"I often help them when they are in trouble."
"He is diligent, smart, brave, and has a gentle attitude towards everyone, as if he never has the slightest negative emotion."
"In the eyes of his professors, he was a smart and brave student."
"Among his peers, he is the bright sun."
"The radiance of his body shines on all wizards, and what he says seems to be the truth."
Hagrid paused, stuck.
This made the three people present curious, especially Hermione, who felt as if she had touched part of the truth.
"These are all fake, right?"
She said to Hagrid thoughtfully.
Hagrid nodded silently and continued: "Miss Granger is right. His performances are all fake and all his disguises."
"If it hadn't been for what happened later, I'm afraid no one would know his true face."
These words seemed to drain Hagrid's strength away. He fell to the ground and poured himself another glass of wine.
"He has something to do with you too, Harry."
After drinking the glass of wine, Hagrid looked at Harry with complicated eyes.
"What?" Harry looked at Hagrid in surprise, Hermione looked thoughtful at the side, and Ron looked at Harry in confusion.
"He's related to you, Harry."
"What's the relationship?" Harry was a little excited. Could it be that this wizard named Tom Riddle had a relationship with their family?
"Tom," Hagrid paused again, looked at the three of them with a complicated look, and then continued.
"Tom is Voldemort."
"Yes." Harry and Ron nodded in agreement. They had always felt that Hermione had been in something very wrong recently.
